I left the matter up to Pish. As for my wording of the rule... do you recall why Election 1 was scrapped in the first place? The issue that got blown out of proportion? That owuld be inviting people into the guild during the Election. That rule was written specifically to address the issue of the prior election, to insure it did not happen again. The rule is clear, if you have any background in the guild and know what happened, no exceptions. The rules were written for a reason, and they were not met with any opposition on any front throughout the entirety of the election. This election was held as neutrally as possible. DG is not a target because we don't want him to be Captain. I don't mind the prospect. He broke a rule written specifically to prevent the same thing that happened last Election from happening this election. As for inviting RPers into the guild, that is wonderful, but it had to wait until Monday after the vote. It's not about bringing new RPers into the community; it's about bringing new RPers into the community who are voting in an Election held for the current members of the guild, and bringing outside influence into the guild, be it malicious or benign. Again, this is Pish's call. I'm sorry YoDae, but I'm not the one dragging this out. It's not my cal. I cannot stress that enough. I was specifically charged with creating and upholding the new election by Neko, and that is what I did. I wrote the rules, and while I understand that some people feel the rule in question was worded poorly, it can be nothing but crystal clear to the nominees that were involved in the last election. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by me not being Crew. I mean, I was... no one is right now... and again I have no control over this situation. It's my responsibility to be neutral throughout this entire election. It is my responsibility to enforce the rules that were set in place from the beginning. If that is not within my power, than it is my responsibility to at least point out when an infraction occurs. I don't follow what you mean by constantly repeating myself - given all of the conversation in Chatroom, you should see that I had no choice but to reiterate what I was saying to try and make people see that I am not "behind" this, it's not a plot, and no one but I had any involvement in the running of the Election with the exception of SorceressJacklyn submitting my guild announcements (as I can't) and making the Election Headquarters subforum. I can only hope that everyone will get it out of their heads that this is some kind of conspiracy. I know that many people want DG to be Captain, and I understand that this is upsetting to alot of people... I'm just doing my job. Being neutral, and trying to weather all of this. I understand there has been alot of talk behind my back, and I am sure that does not help when it comes to helping people realize that there is no bad guy here. I am a literate RPer and I love doing the things that I do, but I am not a stuck up, arrogant p***k. I do not constantly fight the things I disagree with, and I am not judging anyone for their opinion on the current matters. All I'm trying to do is make people realize that Jackie had nothing to do with it, this is Pish's call, and I'm just doing the job that was given to me... I hope you can understand that. I must be the bad guy to alot of people, but I am not a bad person. I love this guild, and I want all this to be over and done with, but I cannot pretend that something didn't happen. For the record, too, I have been informed as to who invited the "I-kuns," and that they were invited expressly because of their dislike of DGWar. The person in question is neither crew or a Nominee, nor were they tasked to do so by one. However, acting so dishonorably in the interest of defaming one of our nominees is entirely uncalled for, and the individual will be punished. I want it to be clear that it doesn't matter who you are rooting for or who you are, this does not fly.

@Yo: Your post began unclear, which is why I started with a quote from you. I just found it humorous. However, as I said, this does concern me.
As for everything else. I wasn't aware that one had to be crew to have a voice. I don't really care what you think about it. And I am judging it because I disagree with it. Don't be mad at me just because I have the willpower to challenge everything that strikes me as wrong while others do not.
Arrogant? Stuck up? You may believe so if you wish. I recognize that a lot of people are right, but I trust my judgement, and I am rarely wrong, no matter how stuck up that may sound.
Why is it me? Because no one else even attempts, so why not me? Someone has to step up to the plate to prevent people from degrading the guild into one big cesspool of illiteracy and idiocy. And again, I understand that my judgement is not ALWAYS correct, but it usually is. Prove me wrong if you want. It wouldn't make a difference.

@Telling People Off: Many people don't actually listen to a thing anyone else says, they only respond when it seems like there's something they can 'attack' or 'disprove'. This way, they get to 'justify' their side and never see anything that challenges their opinion, even when it's right in front of them. Most parents I've watched do it all the time with their kids.
Go figure, the same people who do this never admit to it. Instead they ignore that you mentioned it and deflect to another subject, usually the subject of accusing someone else of doing it. Ironically the person they deflect to is usually very innocent; tragically bystanders will often side with the obviously false accusation anyways.
People are so odd.

Also, wouldn't that make him the winner, seein' as last I saw he had the highest number of votes despite the explicitly anti-him votes?

Regarding the Ikuns, yes, and he has removed himself from Rykros. As for the votes, yes, that would make him the winner, but it's not a question of whether he had more votes. Again, The decision rests with Pish. Hopefully we will know one way or the other by the end of tonight.

Does anyone know if there's any sort of food out there that's very much like a twinki, but like... in a high quality form?
Like how watching Avatar on a blue ray DVD would be the higher-quality equivalent of watching a 1970's Pocahontas adaptation on an old VHS?

avalonbi Wow... A lot of you people are worse than the girls my sister is having issues with... They are thirteen... You lot are worse than a bunch of thirteen year old girls... I mean, I see I have no place to judge you lot since I don’t know you all nor have I had a chance to post with my character yet (Though I will once my deferral goes through, and I sort out this crap at home) To be perfectly honest, if he won last time, and this time, it is pretty obvious that certain people don’t want the guy as captain and they are trying to disqualify him by any means possible. The rule you people are saying he broke is unclearly written and detrimental to the guild. I mean really, banning them from inviting role players to a role play guild? Grow up people. I am nineteen and I am sure I have more responsibility and common sense in my pinkie than all of you put together, with a few minor exceptions, as some of you appear to have some semblance of a brain and at least one of you I would actually consider talking to on a regular basis outside of the guild, purely because, well, he is not afraid to tell it as he sees it one hundred percent of the time without caring about the consequences. Hey there, I don't believe we have had the pleasure, to meet, but I agree with you. Well, on most points, anyways. For instance, as stupid a rule it may be, I can understand where Ferregar is coming from. You see, humans are quite apprehensive, especially in situations like this election. Ferregar made the rule, as I see it, not to just prevent cheating, as that's rather vague as not all people simply join to vote. But to try and prevent others from this behavior. During tense situations like the one we're in now, most people get restless and edgy, and when something happens, just loves to point fingers. And when people begin to point fingers, others will become confused, upset, and even angry at times. Thus with people joining, others will feel as though they're being cheated, and want to accuse someone else of cheating, as is what happened the first election. Ferregar, I believe, was just trying to prevent this panic from happening once again. But, we can all see how that went. The same exact thing happened once again, it would appear. To be honest, I'd rather this just get wrapped up. It's slowing guild-wide progress, activity of members, and it's just causing too many people too much unneeded drama. I don't care who wins, but just wish they'd select a captain so we can all move on.

Wind is probably getting lightning and I don't know what they are doing for fire yet.

@CityO'Fools: D'awww. I thought fire and electricity being related was pretty clever, what with them both being elements of energy.
I liked the idea of the 'upgrade' elements based on similar personalities, too, things like
Wind & Gravity both manipulate others through a measured push or pull
Earth & Metal are both solid, strong and unyielding in their form
Water & Acid both are fluid in motion and wear away at opposition
Fire & Electricity are dangerously sporadic and intensely energetic
It'll be cool to see what the leader people come up with~
