Well this IS a random chatter thread. whee There are two Zelda DS games: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Spirit Tracks was remarkably easy for me, but as a Zelda noob, you would find it more difficult. The Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass was repetitive and annoying... But Phantom Hourglass is longer than Spirit Tracks... I suppose it depends... Would you prefer to travel by steamboat or by train?

Rukyn, do you have an N64 by any chance? Or have the possibility of getting one cheap? Then if you're thinking of getting into LoZ, you should definitely try Ocarina of Time. It's a really great game. I haven't played either of the DS games, so I can't really say which one might be better...

That said, I too have been neglecting my games. And yet I just got a new one! But HeartGold is amazing and I've been waiting to play it pretty much since it was announced in Japan. I haven't even finished Pearl yet though.

Ocarina of Time IS one of the best, if not THE best Zelda game. If you CAN get it, you should. But as far as DS Zelda games go... I'd probably go with Phantom Hourglass, since it came first. Well, it would be even better if you could play its prequel, The Wind Waker, first but that was for the Game Cube.

i do have an n64, but it's my brothers. i thought Ocarina of Time was disappearing and fairly expensive, though?

You can also download OOT from the Wii shop channel for the Wii. You know... If you have a Wii.

Sadly, I do not, but thank you for your advice and help.

I just beat the first Golden Sun today. I am very pleased with myself. How is everyone? :]

Congrats! And I myself am sulking because I can't get Soul Silver for another SEVEN DAYS. I've been playing my Crystal game (and had to resist the urge to restart that) to keep me occupied. But after I kicked Red's butt somehow with my really underleveled team, there's nothing else to do. I should probably get back to my current Golden Sun playthrough...
