Goodness this guild's active. So may pages since my last post!
And here I'm still fumbling over what character I'm interested in RPing. :/
Also... I'm sad about voting drama. And sad the two people I was really tied between are now being accused of stuff. Doesn't seem to suit them. It sounds like somebody who wasn't up for election has jealousy issues~
Bender Question: I really wanna play a bender, 'cause fitting a character personality around a single element would be super fun to play, but I've not been involved with this guild much outside of lurking and am nervous about playing what seems a high-level bloodline. Anybody have any tips?

Anybody have any tips? Pick whatever of the four elements you can work best with, otherwise your character will become troublesome to create things for.

There can only be one bender per element so crew needs to make sure to check and see which ones are taken. So far I think the only bender is Wood. I think he's fire, but he was changing to Air.

Anybody have any tips? I am the creator of that bloodline, so feel free to ask me anything you wish. :] I got permission to judge the apps for that bloodline, so I should be in charge. I guess my only tip is that they are supposed to fit their element and still be balanced... like.... They wont ever be insane or anything like that. They will always have strong convictions that tie them to their element perfectly. At least, that's how I view them. I didn't do into much detail when I made them. @Dg: Nope. I got rid of the fire guy once everyone got moved and such. And I MAY be doing the air bender. Not so sure anymore. Like.... I really don't want to train for the shitload of customs I have in mind. xD So I'll probably end up just doing the highborn.

The bloodline post for Benders says water is taken, but I can't find the guy's profile. The request to be an Air Bender did just go up, though.

I'm totally fitting my character's strengths/weaknesses, personality and appearance entirely around fire and the fact that her relationship with it is stronger and more personal than any of her other relationships (like with people). Hope I'll do ya proud~
Can I ask if things work any differently with being student class and learning elemental skills?
It sounds like, right-off-the-bat, I have a passive ability to manipulate both pre-existing fire and student-level fire elemental skills that other people use around me, but everything else has to be learned IC, after I start Role Playing. Is that about accurate?

We all understand your view by now, as you've gone and made it perfectly clear. Please, stop adding more here and there, it isn't helping, and you're digging a grave bro. Seriously, you need to stop whatever the ******** it is you do. Want to know what you don't do? You don't simply point things out, or simply "say" things. Want to know what you do do? But yourself into things that don't concern you in the first place, then drag the thing to ******** hell. Calm the hell down, stop bugging people for whatever you think is wrong. Yes, you are also entitled to your own opinion, but you take that fact too far, and basically rape what other people say. You argue s**t that doesn't need your arguments. You say s**t that doesn't need to be asid. Think properly before you put down words that you feel you need to put down. Guess what? Even if you justify the s**t you say in your own mind, that doesn't mean it's justified in everybody else's mind. Highborn are often mistaken for humans, usually this assumption changes as soon as their large, feathery wings come into view. They possess great strengths and powers although they are often limited by laws and faith. Visible characteristics of an highborn include near perfect beauty, full body runes which resemble tattoos, and of course their large, white-feathered wings. They are also nearly immortal. Usually only battle or several millennia can do them in.
Weaknesses:They tend to rely more on speed then actual strength. (-1 to Str)
They are lawful. Although, whether its the law of the lands, or more of a code they have set for themselves is up to the individual.
Difficulty flying, up to full lack of flight, when wings are wet. (Depends on rank, and amount of water)
As a heavenly race, they posses a scent which beings such as lycanthropes or vampires can smell. Often giving away your presence. (Scent is faint, and sweet smelling. Said to almost smell like honey, vanilla, and lavender.)
Your ability to sense other's emotions can be troublesome when you are trying to concentrate.
Inability to blend in. Your large wings usually give you away.
Your righteous fury can cause you to battle so fiercely you get weakened for a time ranging from a couple hours to a day.
Can only be Swordmaster, Cleric, Paladin, Mage, Bard or Berserker.
More susceptible to attacks from the element opposite to your chosen element.
Strengths:Your immortal ancestry has graced you with great speed. (+1 rank)
Agile winged flight. (+ 2 to speed while flying)
Bonus to abilities based on caste.
Due to your empathic abilities, combat experience, and speed you have heightened combat reflexes.
Can sense emotions in others.
Nearly Immortal. They always appear to be in their early twenties to late teens after they hit that age.
Bloodline related skills only cost half the energy cost.
Elemental magic for good offense.
Castes:
The caste of the highborn dates back to their ancestor's days as angels in Ar'Arkaedon. They determine the highborn's abilities in certain areas.
Tae: Tae are the warrior class. Known as the Blades. Their markings tend to be more jagged and the ones of the face tend to cross through the eyes like scars. They tend to be weaker in magic than those of the Raa caste.
Can learn up to five melee styles.
Cannot be mage or cleric.
Possesses minor weapon summon magic allowing them to summon one weapon. (One pair counts as one so long as it is reasonable)
Less energy for magic abilities. (3/4 energy)
Raa: The Raa are the magic class. Known as the Mages. Their markings tend to be curvy, and when on the face come out from the eyes rather than passing though or going to them. Their weapon skills are usually on the weaker side, unlike those of the Tae caste.
Can learn two elemental magics on top of whatever they already know.
Cannot be Swordmaster or Berserker.
Increased energy for magic abilities. (1.5 times base energy plus an additional twenty energy.)
An additional -1 to strength.
Shin: The shin are the common highborn breed. They have no specialization like the other two main castes. They tend to lack the expertise of magic or weapon skills that make the Tae and Raa castes so well known. Their markings generally are only found on their arms, legs and chest. The style varies.
Can be any of the classes allowed for highborn.
Can learn two melee styles or gain 50 extra energy.
Has no penalties to energy or str like the Tae and Raa.
Kae'Sho: The Kae'Sho can only be described as the archangels of the highborn. They not only have superb weapon skills, but also posses powerful magic as well. They tend to be stronger and faster than those of the Tae caste, although those attributes go down if they are more adept at magic and vise-verse. Their markings are generally a combination of jagged and curved lines, a style that could be compared to the tribal tattoos. The marks on their face tend to stay away from the eyes, or if they are near the eyes tend to be on one side only.
Very rare caste. Usually only one or two in existence.
Must pick a path. (Either Major Weapon Summons and five melee styles, or Two elemental magics and an additional 100 energy.)
Can be any class available to highborn.
Highborn Passive Abilities:Emotional Telepathy- The ability to sense the emotions of others. Works well to detect lies and intentions of those around you. Your control of this ability goes up as you gain ranks.
Highborn Techniques:Holy/Light Magic- Usage varies by user. Common practices include offensive beams or slashes and defensive barriers. (Rank Varies on Use)
Elemental Magic- You chose one element as your base element. This is your favored element regardless of class, or caste. Examples are, Air, Fire, Water, Earth. Others include Ice or Lightning. (Raa and Kae'Sho get an additional element as a secondary. Rank varies on Use)
Minor Weapon Summons- Tae Caste Only - You have tapped into an ancient art of the angels of Ar'Arkaedon. You have the ability to call upon one weapon. This weapon is summoned through your base element. [Rank E] (One pair counts as one so long as it is reasonable)

Wing Shield -

You must be using elemental wing to use this skill. Wing shield allows you to focus more energy into your wings and block attacks by closing your wings around you. Attacks able to be blocks vary on your element. Don't get ridiculous with it. This is primarily for magic, or ranged attacks. Attacks able to be blocked vary by rank.
Heavenly Touch -
[Rank D-S]
By focusing holy energy into their hands through a small prayer. They cause their hands to glow. The highborn is able to heal wounds by placing their hands onto an individual, usually around or on the wound and allowing the energy to flow into the individual. At a C or higher this ability can cure most poisons and similar effects. If healing lasts more than two posts, the same amount of energy must be used to continue the heal.
Light Beam -
[Rank E-S]
The highborn can focus holy energy into their hands and shoot it out like a beam of light inflicting damage on what it hits. The amount of damage varies on rank, and energy used to cast.
Holy Slash -
[Rank E-S]
By focusing holy energy into your weapon or arm you can release the energy in a slashing motion creating an arc of holy energy that flies through the air in the direction you cast it in, cutting like a supernatural blade. The damage it can do before dispersing varies based on your rank, and the amount of energy put into the attack.
Holy Barrier -
[Rank D-S]
To use this spell you must first have had to save up at least one post worth of holy energy. This is usually done by focusing it to a part of your body, a shield, or a weapon. You release the energy creating a golden barrier in front of you, blocking the attacks. The amount blocked depends on your rank, and the amount of energy used in the spell.
Divine Barrier -
[Rank C-S]
This is a more advanced version of holy barrier. You must have at least one post of holy energy saved up to use this. You create a full barrier around the target of your choosing. (Ally or Yourself) Effectively blocking attacks for one post, plus the amount of posts you saved energy. The amount absorbed before shattering is based on the amount of energy used, and your rank.

You place a blessing on yourself or another increasing either strength by 1 for three posts. Cannot have a blessing on more than one person by the same highborn.
Additional Comments:
The nature of the highborn makes it hard for them to stay in one nation for too long. Although they may have allegiances to a single nation, they will roam in search of people in need or evil to smite. As most of their skills are open for interpretation, almost every individual is unique. Most highborn have similar magic styles, although the way it is used can vary drastically.
Restrictions:

@Delusion: Well, even if you counter their fire at this point, there isn't anything for you to do with it until you learn some skills. :3 But yeah, that's about the gist of it. The least you could do is deflect it to the side or something.

And uh, I feel that this election concerns EVERYONE in the guild. So I feel that I have a right to voice my opinion. Just as you felt you had the right to voice that opinion.
Also, I will not stop. I am surrounded by way too many wrong things to not correct them. If they don't want me to correct them then they better get their act together and stop ******** up.
And I always think through what I want to say. Usually my posts are far more insulting in the first draft.
As for the justification. I don't care if it's justified in anyone else's mind. Not even a little bit.
I argue what I feel I need to. I'm probably the most relaxed person here. Especially with that giant stick you've been holding up there.

Wow... A lot of you people are worse than the girls my sister is having issues with... They are thirteen... You lot are worse than a bunch of thirteen year old girls... I mean, I see I have no place to judge you lot since I don’t know you all nor have I had a chance to post with my character yet (Though I will once my deferral goes through, and I sort out this crap at home)
To be perfectly honest, if he won last time, and this time, it is pretty obvious that certain people don’t want the guy as captain and they are trying to disqualify him by any means possible. The rule you people are saying he broke is unclearly written and detrimental to the guild. I mean really, banning them from inviting role players to a role play guild? Grow up people. I am nineteen and I am sure I have more responsibility and common sense in my pinkie than all of you put together, with a few minor exceptions, as some of you appear to have some semblance of a brain and at least one of you I would actually consider talking to on a regular basis outside of the guild, purely because, well, he is not afraid to tell it as he sees it one hundred percent of the time without caring about the consequences.

That owuld be inviting people into the guild during the Election. That rule was written specifically to address the issue of the prior election, to insure it did not happen again. The rule is clear, if you have any background in the guild and know what happened, no exceptions. The rules were written for a reason, and they were not met with any opposition on any front throughout the entirety of the election. This election was held as neutrally as possible. DG is not a target because we don't want him to be Captain. I don't mind the prospect. He broke a rule written specifically to prevent the same thing that happened last Election from happening this election. As for inviting RPers into the guild, that is wonderful, but it had to wait until Monday after the vote. It's not about bringing new RPers into the community; it's about bringing new RPers into the community who are voting in an Election held for the current members of the guild, and bringing outside influence into the guild, be it malicious or benign. Again, this is Pish's call.

Why the hell are you going around judging every thing that you disagree with? As I said, you are entitled to your opinion, as everyone is. Yet, this is not just the election I am bringing forward when I'm talking about you. I'm talking about your attitude in general.
