She got the flu last night, so the scavenger hunt is postponed. But she still drove 40 minutes from home to campus to give me my birthday present (which I was upset about... her driving when she has the flu, not the present).

Her present: Two tickets to Explosions in the Sky next weekend in Colorado. She and I will be driving 19 hours (both ways) to Colorado to see the show. Staying in Omaha for one night (because it's halfway there) and a cute B&B in Colorado. She paid for everything. I just... I can't even... She's absolutely amazing.

First off, I've never been to a concert. Secondly, Explosions is probably one of my favorite bands of all time and I almost murdered my best friend last winter when there was a concert in Mpls for $20 and he didn't tell me about it.

Needless to say, I'm really f-ing excited.

EitS are fantastic and probably one of the most iconic post-rock bands out there, with the talent to back it up. I almost got to see them, but they had to cancel the show in Little Rock due to tornadoes. I got my refund fair, but I missed on an amazing show since they came back two weeks later when I was back in school.
