Matachi drug out a small thing of tags from a pouch on his hip he wasn't speaking about Katherine then "I lost more then you think." Matachi says setting the three military tags made from bronze into her hands. She would recognize the names on them, they were apart their squad back when Matachi and Mel were both in service. They were all really close, especially to Matachi who looked at all of them as family, Mel should know that. Matachi walks on towards the training yards now leaving the tags in her hands.

One thing that always set Mel a part of her detachment from things. She took the tags with ease. She looked down at them and followed handing them over to one of the other men. She followed him quite though.

Matachi and the men head out into the yard towards the archer targets, he stops at one of them bringing his bow off his back not caring to notice Alastor and Katherine. The men come around him and watch. Matachi smirks as he stings a arrow in his bow as he hears the men make small bets between one another for pieces of gold or silver.

Katherine smiled a flashing smile as he started to run at her. She used her speed to its fullest she moved back to the side so when he side steped and lunged he was half off from her. Instead he met her blade, no body. Her foot work was good like a dance. She brought the smaller blade, the dirk down as it lashed out towards his sword wrist.

Mel had turned watching them there speed was amazeing, she had seen Matachi fight. She had never seen the queen fight. "I think me and her would make a good match." She mused to him not careing if he was listening or not.

Matachi draws back the bow as the sidiion draws into his eyes "All of you will be doing this by the end of the day." Matachi says as he stares down the length of the arrow aiming towards the hay target. Slowly he inhales and exhales as though it was an assassination shot. Then with a loud pop of the rough string meeting the bows wood the arrow slices through the air. The men watch as the arrow slams into the target, the hay being kicked up as the entire target falls over on the impact of the arrow. Cutting its way through the target it struck the brace on the other side of the target making it collapse.

Mel turned to see the target fall over then looked back to the fight, it was catching Matachi's mens attention as well. "Matachi, I don't know if you will have to kill him I think she might do it for you." She said in a laughing muusical way. She was trying to lighten his mood as Matachi's men staarted to make beats on the fight.

Just as her next strike hit, he used the momentum to roll forward. He conjured pretty much a copy of what she had. Adapting to her changing fighting styles was one of the things he could do. Much like her fighting with normal foes, he would do something she normally did. Though to change to up he would use a bit more style. Throwing the dirk he had up into the air, he imitated her pulling a knife out of the garter by reaching to the side of his leg, conjuring up a blunt dagger and tossing it at her. When it came down, he snatched the dirk and ran at her again. Adapting to her movements, he slid in crouched, spinning with the dirk going to make the low strike and when he came back around, the sword to make the mid strike.

Mel watched the queen fall back. "all that speed and skill is amounting to nothing, that was quite a dirty move from him." Most who were watching would agree to that it had been sneaky, this had been a sword fight and now most thought her sholder would be screwed up after this.
