Hello everyone! I'm Distorted, and am working very hard on learning Japanese by myself until I can try to get lessons. So far, I have a lot of the Hiragana alphabet memorized, but am reluctant to touch Katakana because of how simplified it looks. I am somewhat familiar with some Kanji because I am also a Mandarin Chinese student. : D

i've been taking Japanese for 4 years now. I'm trying to get into the classes at my college. but..you know. it's full.
I'm studying on my own, through, various ways. (playing game, reading japanese manga, looking thru my dictionaries. text books. free website.)
I understand it better than speaking it. i sound stupid when i talk : D Gomen!

And.. yes...I'm a girl.... I shouldn't use 'Ore'....but the kanji is pretty! D:

Hello there, my name is Randall. I'm 16 years old, male, and live in the wonderful country of USA. biggrin I don't know any Japanese really, except what you pick up watching subbed anime. >.> Which is very, very sparse... in fact, limited to just several words. I would love to be able to read and listen to Japanese, and understand it. I don't like reading mangas and animes only to get the translated version, which, as I understand, leaves many of the language jokes out.

As for generals, my favorite color is electric blue, I love eating spaghetti (my favorite food), and I still play Pokemon. Well, not so much anymore, considering it's practically the same game as all the ones before it... *sigh*

Hello my name is Aen (pronounced ah-een).
I'm very fond of watching anime. Preferably I like the Japanese ones than the english dubbed. Their acting is a lot better.
This would be the primary reason why I want to learn japanese, so I can stop depending on those tiny subtittles.
I don't know how you guys do this but whatever the activity, please have patience with me. I can be so slow. Nice meeting you all and thanks for letting me in!
