I know what you are, I know what you look like, I know what you're doing, and I know what your minions look like. Stay out of my dreams!

But I haven't sent Nuri into your dreams in months! I knew I shouldn't have posted that pic of myself... twisted Lol! In all seriousness though, my dreams have been filled with vlkolaci (vampires? bad translations!). And they have these other creatures with them, bloated dead women, their lips pulled back from their teeth, wearing black robes. I even know what they're called in the dream, but google searches of every variation in spelling I can think of are turning up nothing. It's becoming a very draining experience. That's the ineffable part though - I know what they're called, I know their function, I know what they look like, etc, there's just nothing to connect them to anything. I'm sitting here waiting for the lightbulb to come on and it just isn't. *shrug*

Bloated corpses who come out of their graves at night and feast upon the blood/flesh of the living. They can take the form of animals in a distorted, grotesque manner. Curious, the taking the actual form of animals is a bit odd, but the kind of "shaggy" hide element would make sense with what I am familiar with... does this ring a bell?

The next horror/romance novel should be about these bitches. I wanna see Bella get eaten by THAT.

I have weird dreams. The most recently one I just got before waking involved me walking about with another individual, as if in search of something, then I ran into a wall. It was massive, tall as the eye could see, wider than the circumference of the earth itself. It was impassable, and IIRC, on fire. What it was made of, I couldn't tell you.
I was walking behind this individual, following them, and for the life of me I cannot remember their face, clothing, or manner. The last thing I remember before being almost jolted awake was the feeling of "this is not your path".

There is a book... you might be able to find it at Barnes and Nobles or amazon.com called The Vampire Hunter's Guide. It has detailed information on various types of vampires and vampire like creatures from mythologies the world over. Also, there was a book published in the late 80s early 90s dealing with vampire lore, both vampires of hollywood and that of local mythos titled the necronomicon. I haven't read it in years, so I can't definitely say if it will help to much.

I'm rather have a contextual understanding of a creature than rely on Western Revisionism from intellectually lazy people who can't get it through their skulls that not all spirits can be divided by their personal cultural mythos.

So to be clear, because they are books printed in western society, they have absolutely no relevance to the topic at hand? Also have you even read the books, Tea? Its easy to dismiss any text if you haven't even read it. The Vampire Hunter's Guide is a fairly decent book. It even has a bibliography, that, if you doubt what is in the book, you can double check yourself.
