Snow Poff wasn't forgotten. She quietly and quickly fell into step beside Larissa, her tiny silver bell on her diamond studded collar tinkling with her gait. There were also settings for the familiars; a special table set up for them to eat at. But those who wanted to could remain at the table with their people if they preferred.
The caterers and some of the guests (mostly Larissa's family and friends), hurried to bring Leo a table and comfy chair and set it in a prominent position where he also was head of the wedding party; right in front of the wedding table. People brought money as offerings and there was much bowing and murmurs of respectful sayings and thank yous and apologies directed at the god. He kind of overshadowed the married couple with his celestial divine presence. The humans both feared and awed him. Many eyes kept looking at his beautiful form.
The food was brought out quickly and of course, Leo got first choice of everything brought on platters as though to a king. But no one complained. Either they were too afraid to, or they accepted that Leo demanded this kind of respect. Next to be served were the married couple and their closest family and friends.
Larissa's parents smiled politely at Midnight's. Papaya introduced herself and her husband, seemingly wanting to strike up a conversation with Perla and Quirrel. Mike only answered when prompted by his wife, in short sentences. He was very afraid of saying something wrong or offending the magic people who were clearly nobles and wealthy. He sat stiffly in his chair, glancing around nervously and shooting many looks at the shining god in their midst.
Papaya seemed cheerful and was much more relaxed. She felt safe in Leo's presence as well as exceedingly blessed and lucky! Most humans never met or got close to a god in their lifetime. This was a very special occurrence and she considered Leo someone who was friendly and would treat them as beloved children. She saw him being there as the blessing upon their families and their children's union.
Amity and Misty were both whispering in excited, happy tones to each other and also looking at Leo and the other guests around. They eyed Midnight's family curiously, as well as the sparkly dragon. Amity gave a polite wave to the Ameras'es. "Hi, you must be Midnight's family, yes? Nice to meet you all. Me and Misty are Larissa's BFFs from way back" she said with a bright smile. Her long blonde hair shimmered with her light blue and silver gown. "I'm Amity. We went to high school together but we've known each other before elementary school"
Misty also spoke up, her purple dress and amethyst jewellery shining as well. "Hiya! I know I have purple hair and eyes but I'm a human mostly. But my family says there is mermaid wayyyy back in our bloodline and that's where I get the purple from! Nice to meet all of you!"
Then the food had come out. Larissa lifted Poff up to sit on the table beside her. She wanted her right next to her on this special day. She looked at the platters of food that the servers brought out and sniffed the air appreciatively "Mmmm! This all looks delicious! Oh Midnight; they even have dragonsbane foods for you!" she pointed out, as she tried to choose what dishes she wanted dished onto her plate. She made sure that Poff was also served, her silver water and food dishes neatly upon the table. They gave her purified water and some sashimi raw fish to eat, along with cooked, peeled prawns and some other delicacies.
Poff licked her lips as she eyed the food excitedly "Meow! This sure is a feast!"

 Leo accepted the table and chair with grave and approval, as much as a royal among gods would have. He smiled at Larissa and I with a nod as he accepted a... decent sized portion of food, but not too much. He was considerate, at least.
Perla and Quirrel were rather relaxed in the presence of Leo; enough to hold the conversation with Papya and her reluctant husband, Mike.
Soon enough we were greeted by Larissa's old childhood friends; I smiled at them amiably as they introduced themselves to my family and myself.
"It's nice to meet you." I said, looking up from my nigiri and dragonsbane soup. I glanced at Larissa with a affectionate smile when she had pointed the soup out to me.
Before I could say more, Perla frowned at the soup. "Dragonsbane?"
"I'm a Quadwing, mother." I said.
That made her pause as she thought about it. "Ah, yes."
I then turned to Jacob and William. "OY!" I said loudly; it made a number of people jump. "You two, get your arses over here!"
The pair of young men were quick to make their way over to socialize. "I'm guessing you want introductions?" William said. "I'm William Braden. I'm a sorcerer with minor clairvoyance. We're L-- Midinights old high school buddies. We get into all sorts of trouble when we were younger."
"Yes, William was quite fond of dragging Midnight and Jacob into pranks." Perla said with a deadpan.
"You know it, mam'!" William said with a grin.
Jacob made a peace sign; Vigil on his shoulder was facing away from the group, but that didn't stop the owl from turning his head around to look at us with a hoot. "I'm Jacob Willowglade." He said. "I'm the druid who tends the forests around here."
I then whispered into Larissa's ear: "He's the one who grew all the flowers."

Larissa saw that Leo took a rather large portion of food but she was grateful that he left enough to go around to others as well. She hoped he wouldn't be too hungry, as she guessed the gods could eat a lot more than that before they were full. Maybe it was more like a small snack to him. She smiled at Leo shyly before her eyes darted back to those around the table with her. She was glad he wasn't causing trouble. It was even sort of fun having him here!
As the meals were served, everyone began eating and conversations that had started began to flow. Misty and Amity were happy to receive a friendly reply from the Ameras family, and they were both glad they weren't snooty or looking down on the commoners in any way. Papaya was happy to have such new and interesting people to talk to.
Misty flashed a smile back at the sparkly dragon hybrid. "Thank you. Wow that soup looks interesting" She heard Pearla say dragonsbane. "What's dragonsbane, if it's not rude to ask?"
Amity looked curiously at Midnight "Your scales are just beautiful, Midnight. Is Quadwing a type of dragon? I don't know what different types there are, though I've heard of Asian and Western dragons being different"
Larissa jumped when Midnight yelled across the pavilion to the boys, dropping a forkful of noodles. "Ah!" Misty and Amity squeaked in unison as they too got startled, both at Midnight's yell and at the rude language she used to call her friends over. It didn't quite fit the formal event but the casual usage did make Midnight seem more approachable and human.
Papaya greeted the young men with a friendly smile as they sat down and Mike nodded in their direction with a polite grunt of acknowledgement. He was carefully poking at the food on his plate, taking small, cautious bites just in case any of the food had spells on it or was made from something weird. As he tasted the different dishes on his plate, he soon found everything delicious and began to eat in a more relaxed manner, taking bigger mouthfuls.
Papaya nodded when William said they wanted introductions "That would be nice" she smiled between mouthfuls of food. "Ah, so it's William and Jacob is it? Both fine names. I must say you both are very handsome young men. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance...right, dear?" she nudged Mike, and he nodded,
"Oh. Yes, yes it is! Very much so"he said, awkwardly reaching across the table to shake each of their hands after wiping his hands on a napkin. "Mike Wingates, Larissa's father" he introduced himself. "You ah, you both have very interesting occupations. And pranks, you say? I used to be fond of pranks when I was a young lad"
Larissa heard Midnight's whisper. She directed a grateful smiled at Jacob "Thank you so much for your hard work in the forest. The flowers are beautiful, they really make the setting. This forest in the mountains by the lake is so romantic. It's like something out of a fairytale. I'd love to come back here on occasion"
Papaya looked at Poff, who licked her lips after swallowing some of her food. "And this is your familiar, honey? Snow Poff! How sweet, she's a pretty little thing, isn't she?"
Poff felt her face fur warm at the compliments. "Mrrow, thank you for saying so. I'm flattered" she replied, dipping her head politely at Papaya. "I'm Larissa's familiar and Gossamer and Sapphire are here somewhere. Those are Midnight's; a bat and a crow. You might have seen them flying around"
Papaya clapped her hands before cupping them over her mouth as she squealed and giggled "Oh my goodness; a talking cat!! Do all familiars talk? She's positively adorable!" she cried, looking at Poff.
Larissa laughed "Yes mum, everyone's familiars can talk! Remember I told you that on the phone. You've heard Poff talk before over phone calls. But yeah, it is something to see in reality. Gossamer and Sapphire talk too! And so does Lilian's golden tiger, Brutus, over there sitting next to the woman with the wings and tail. She's Lilian Abando, she's our Defense Against Demonics teacher! She's a really nice person and she had taught us so much"
Mike looked at Lilian. "De-defense against what now? Do you really need to know that stuff?! That sounds pretty dangerous if you ask me" he muttered. "And may I ask why she seems to have demon wings and a tail?"
Larissa looked at him reassuringly "Oh, that's because she's half demon. She used to be a succubus. Not all demons are bad, daddy. She's a very cool person and she knows a lot about divine and holy magic"
Meanwhile, Amity kept staring at Midnight's friends, especially Jacob. "So, does being a druid pay well? How do you make a living?" she asked curiously. "Does that mean you can talk to animals?"

"Dragonsbane is a plant known as a fatal poison to most species of dragon." Perla said as she sipped some of her own Dragonsbane soup. "Mmm. Interesting flavor."
"Quadwings are unique family tree of dragon in that they require it in their diet. Since they're immune to poison, They utilize it and a number of other poisons as a self defense mechanism against other larger dragons who might seek to eat them." Quirrel piped up; he had a bright green curry on rice. "So it's not uncommon to see Quadwings eat things like poisonous plants and rocks..." He had a thought. "What about commonly poisonous household chemicals?"
"Most of them taste awful." I replied after finishing a bite of Nigiri.
"Touche." Quirrel said. "They are also among the fastest family of dragons known. Nothing can catch a quadwing in the air; and they're still quite zippy in the land and the water."
I, meanwhile, couldn't help but thrumm at the compliment to my scales. "Why thank you. I think I've heard as my kind is refereed to as a... Starwing? Leo called me that."
"I don't recall that type of dragon..." Perla said.
"Probably stupidly rare or they're all flying around in space somewhere." I said after nibbling on a piece of ginger. "I have no intention of leaving planet-side though."
Meanwhile, Jacob was listening to Larissa speak of the setting. "You are very welcome." He said. "They're all blooming a little bit early but they should stay through spring. If you want to visit again, I do not mind."
Then Papaya was squeeing over Poff. At Poff's mention, Gossamer and Sapphire soared over, circling overhead. I leaned back and held out a hand, where Gossamer perched on my arm and Sapphire hung from my hand.
"How are you two enjoying the festivities?" I asked. I noticed Gossamer's beak was smeared with a bright red. "They have candied cherries!" The crow said, happily. He puffed out his feathers. "They're so good!"
"Aimi thought of everything." Sapphire said. "She has quite an extensive selection of foods for Familiars."
I laughed. "I'll have to thank the Kitsune." I said, before Gossamer spread his wings and flew back to the familiar table, with Sapphire following. "They don't want to ruin people's appetites." I said.
At the mention of needing to know the things Liliana asked, Perla shot a look at Mike. "Do not ask." She said, suddenly stern. Then, as if switching gears; "Midnight, did you make any chocolates for the occasion?" She asked me, that jovial attitude returning.
I grinned, not helping that I was showing sharp teeth. "Of course, mother. You think I wouldn't?"
"I look forward to trying whatever mystery you concocted then~" She said with a smile.
Jacob was halfway through a plate of Tikka Masala when he was asked what he did for a living as a Druid. "Well, I am employed by the Ranger service." He said. "But I live in a tree and I make all my own clothes from things I find..." He shrugged. "I think I might have several thousand saved up in my bank account, not like I really care though."
He lifted a piece of raw meat which was on a plate next to him to Vigil who was still on his shoulder. "Thank you." The owl said, accepting the piece and swallowing it whole.

Misty had nodded in interest at Perla's explanation of dragonsbane. She then helped herself to some of the soup, taking a small bowl to try some. "Cool. Well in that case, I have to try some of it. You are a human aren't you? It's not poisonous to humans?" she double checked before taking a bite just in case.
Amity and Misty listened to Quirrel talk about Quadwings. They both were impressed. They laughed a bit at Midnight admitting she had tried the household chemicals.
Misty looked at Midnight when her father explained how fast quadwings were. "I believe it! After that display you put on before the ceremony. It was really amazing to watch. I reckon it would be fun to watch Midnight fly against some of the fastest jets we have. That would be one heck of an airshow" she giggled.
Amity smiled at Midnight as she thrummed at the compliment "You're welcome. You know, you remind me of collectible figures and trading cards. You know, how the really rare ones are always the sparklies? Like that" she grinned, "Starwing sure suits you indeed. Oh gosh, I never even thought of dragons flying in space. Wow" She continued to eat while she talked, enjoying a nice curry and rice, and an Asian noodle dish.
Larissa looked at Midnight "I'm glad you have no intentions of leaving the planet yet. There's plenty of time to explore the whole universe later" she joked. She knew that no one really knew about Midnight's divinity or immortality so far, so she purposely didn't reveal it.
She turned her head back to Jacob. "Thank you, kind sir. I really appreciate that. We'll try not to disturb the forest when we visit next time and we'll make sure every bit of rubbish is taken back with us today. This forest is splendid and I wouldn't want to marr it's beauty. I can respect it as a sacred jewel of nature. It certainly has more flowers than I expected" She was thinking of how she would like to bring the kids here in the future, or come here any time she felt stressed or wanted somewhere peaceful to think. "I have a birthday in Spring so I may come back here for that"
Papaya looked at the crow and bat as they landed on Midnight's arm and hand. "Oh goodness. You two are both so cute" she gasped. "I've never been this close to a crow or a bat before. Honestly I thought I would be afraid of a bat but you are quite lovely. The fur looks so soft" she admired. "You both look so fancy in that blue and purple paint with all the glitter stars" She looked at Midnight when Aimi was mentioned.
"Well I'm glad to hear someone caters for familiars, they are certainly very special animals and deserve to be treated well. And such considerate manners too" she paused "Please forgive me for asking, I don't mean to be rude. But what is a kitsune?"
Larissa answered for her "You might not have seen her. She's a fox woman, mother. She has nine tails and fox ears and she is very magical" she informed her "She comes from the Asian areas. She owns a really good restaurant that me and Midnight go to"
Papaya nodded "Ah, I see. How fascinating"
Mike fell silent when Perla told him not to ask about Lilian's teachings. "Er okay then. Sorry" He looked towards Midnight as Perla and her talked. "Chocolates? Are we having dessert as well as the cake?"
Larissa nodded "Yes! But we have to toss the bouquet first before we can have dessert. And open presents. I am curious to see what people got for us"
Amity spoke with Jacob a bit more. Her enthusiasm dimmed into neutral politeness as he told her about himself "Oh, okay. Well that's good you have some employment. It sounds like a very...rustic lifestyle, not sure if that's the right word. But it is very pretty out here in the forest, I must say. I suppose being able to make clothes would save you having to make trips to town. You must be very skilled at natural crafts. I don't think I could survive in the forest for even a day" she admitted, eating some more of her meal. "I'd get lonely. And sick of my own company. I'm not really the type to enjoy camping either. But being here like this with all the flowers is...pretty nice"
She tried not to make a face at the sight of the owl eating the raw meat. It was a little off-putting. She was impressed at hearing him speak but averted her gaze back to her food while the chatter continued around her. Everyone seemed to be getting along all right for now.
Amity and Misty both perked up at the mention of throwing the bouquet. "Ooh! I wonder who's going to catch it? That will be fun" Misty said.
Soon enough the main courses were finished and the caterers cleared the tables. Larissa stood and gathered the bouquet she had been holding on the walk down the aisle. She walked out into the clearing "All right, who's ready for the bouquet?" she shouted, getting enthusiasm going from the females.
Misty and Amity both hurried to stand behind the bride. Larissa called out to Midnight "Wanna toss it with me?"

The food was finished and we all got up and headed out of the pavilion for the boquet tossing. I followed Larissa out of the tent, as she called out if I wanted to toss it with her.
"Sure." I said, heading down to stand next to her.
The other ladies gathered behind us, as I reached down to take hold of the bouquet gently with Larissa.
There was Misty and Amity, but also Charlotte and a reluctant Mia.
Charlotte had Albihe on her shoulder, his tail raised as he was curious. Charlotte was looking on with an eager smile, her eyes sparkling. She looked ready to try and catch it if she could.
Mia had a hand in her pocket as she looked on at the two brides, before glancing at Charlotte. She then sighed and prepared to move to try and catch the bouquet...

Larissa counted softly with Midnight "One...two...three" before they both tossed the flower bundle together. It sailed behind them and overhead and as it fell, there was a mild scramble of women as they all tried to catch it. Amity and Misty collided with each other and fell down laughing.
Then Misty realised Amity had caught it. "Amity! You got it! You got the bouquet!" she squealed.
Amity gasped as she looked at it in surprise, the flowers smelling sweet "Oh my god! I caught the bouquet!" she shrieked happily. "I can't believe it" She and Misty jumped up and down while squealing and giggling together.
Papaya and some of the others clapped and cheered for Amity.
Larissa turned around and saw the blonde holding the flowers. She grinned at her friend "Congratulations Amity! Ooh, I wonder who you're going to marry?" she giggled, teasing her friend.
Amity blushed, glancing at William briefly. "I don't know" she giggled. "but I have someone I'm interested in. So we'll see~!"
"All right, well, now that we know who the next lucky bride is going to be, let's go open some of our wedding gifts!" Larissa said excitedly, loud enough for everyone to hear. She took Midnight's hand and walked back into the pavilion, going to the table stacked with wrapped presents.
The rest of the guests filed back in and stood around near the gift table or sat down at the tables to watch the openings. Larissa picked up a pale purple box tied with a white curling ribbon. She read the tag "This is from Misty Dewvine. Aw, thank you Misty" she said, looking at the purple haired girl gratefully.
Misty smiled "I hope you like it. Go on, open it!" she said. "I tried to get something pretty yet practical"
Larissa unwrapped it, and revealed a photo album, with plenty of spaces for pictures
Misty called out "So you can collect the new memories you and Midnight make together, and look back on them"
Larissa teared up a bit "Awww, thank you so much, hon. That's so sweet! Love ya babe" she blew a friendly air kiss to Misty who giggled and blew air kisses back.
"Open another one!" Misty cheered. "Midnight's turn this time"
Poff was sitting on the table beside the gift table. She watched curiously "Can I rip some open with my claws, Larissa?"
Larissa laughed "Sure sweetie I don't see why not. Come here and join in!"

I waited till she finished counting, and lifted my arm with her to fling the bouquet into the air. I glanced back to see two girls crash into each-other enthusiastically, while both Charlotte and Mia managed avoid being part of the pile of people. They were Larissa's friends from high school, I think.
Yep. Amity had snagged the Bouquet, and when the question was posed as to who she was going to marry, I noted that she was eyeing William. Not hard to see why; he was a handsome man and he wasn't afraid to flaunt that.
Larissa wanted to open presents now, and I wasn't about to turn that down. She took my hand and I walked into the pavilion with her, and sat next to her as she opened the first gift from Misty.
It was a pretty photo album, and I had no doubt that it would soon be filled up with pictures of the babies once they were born.
I watched Larissa thank Misty, and I smiled and gave Misty a knowing bob of the head. I imagine that I will treasure that photo album one day....
Soon enough I was encouraged to open one, and Sapphire and Gossamer came circling over. I smiled at them as they shrink down to land in my earrings, like they usually do.
I then reached over to pull a large-ish box that had been sitting next to the table. It was Bright red with green ribbons, and I peered at the tag sticking out from under the bow.
"This one is from William." I said, as I read the tag. I glanced at him, to see him sitting backwards in a chair and watching as well; his arms resting on the backrest.
I opened it, only to blink at the box as I tore the paper off. "A Karaoke machine?" I asked, looking at the box. This was a for home model that looked nearly professional quality. I pulled the rest of the paper off to get a better look at it.
"You remember that promise we made to eachother when we were in high school." William asked, still perched on the chair.
".... Panic! At The Disco?" I asked, still inspecting the box.
"Panic! at the Disco." I could hear his grin.
I straightened and leaned back in the chair. "I know which song too."

Meanwhile, outside...
Everyone had trooped into the Pavillion to watch the happy couple open presents, save for a small handful of people who were looking around the clearing.
Charlotte had turned to follow, when Mia's hand on her arm made her pause.
"Mia?" She asked, looking at her friend and roommate.
Mia was blushing so red it looked like it hurt. She pulled something silently out of her pocket and handed it to Charlotte.
It was a little box. It was black and covered with velvet.
"Mia..." Charlotte said, hesitating to open it.
"I like you, damnit, okay? And yes, in that way." Mia said, sounding frustrated and like she had already been rejected. "You're nice and pretty and you like scorpions and you don't mind what I'm st--" Her words were cut off when Charlotte put a finger to Mia's lips.
Charlotte pulled away to open the box; in it were two rings, one gold and one of gunmetal; decorated with gems that matched their eyes.
"Are these?" Charlotte asked.
"Not engagement rings." Mia said hurriedly. "Uh, friendship rings?"
Charlotte lowered the box and smiled at Mia, before grabbing the flustered punk girl and pulling her into a kiss. They held that for a moment, before the two pulled away; even Charlotte had a dusting of pink on her cheeks. "They're beautiful, Mia. Thank you."
The two of them put the rings on eachother's fingers; Charlotte took the dark one with chocolate diamonds, while Mia ended up with the gold with sky blue sapphires. Charlotte then tucked the box away into her purse before goosing Mia and leading her back into the pavilion, hand in hand.

Larissa noticed Midnight smile at Misty and she was glad that they liked the photo album. It was indeed pretty and it was very thoughtful too. She wouldn't mind if there was more than one of those. She planned to take a lot of pictures and she knew one photo album wouldn't hold them all. Maybe someone was thoughtful enough to get one of those digital photo frames you could store lots of pictures on and set it to keep changing the photo as it cycled through. Or even more book style ones would be good.
Larissa watched Midnight as it was her turn to open a gift. She was surprised to see a karaoke machine be revealed from the red paper and green ribbons. She watched the exchange between Midnight and William and chuckled a bit. "Well I might leave that to you guys to sing. My singing is terrible" she admitted jokingly. "Karaoke does sound fun though. Even though I'm not familiar with that band or album". She looked at Midnight. "I might have to ask you to let me hear some of your music. I have no idea what music you like"
Papaya called out "It's Snow Poff's turn now! I want to see the kitty open a present" she laughed.
Larissa giggled and nodded "Oh, okay then. Hold on, umm" she looked through the pile of gifts on the table. "How about this one?" she said, putting a medium sized boxed item in silver giftwrap in front of her familiar.
Poff sat on the table and raised a paw. Her claws gleamed as she brought them out. "Here I go, meow!" The cat familiar tore at the silver paper, taking it off in shreds, and laughing as she did so. She then played with the curling ribbon and patches of torn paper, rolling in them, as she forgot about the actual present inside. Several people laughed or made sounds of adoration of how cute she was.
Larissa picked up the box and opened it, taking out a matching set of coffee mugs that would change colour with rainbow stars when filled with hot liquid. She looked at the tag and smiled "Thank you mother, these are fun! I'm sure Midnight and I will enjoy using them" she said.
Larissa had picked up a gift from Mia. She paused to ask Midnight "Hey, where are Charlotte and Mia?" That's when she saw them walk in hand in hand. She grinned at them and gave a small wave as they snuck back into the pavillion. She was surprised they were holding hands, but she would ask them about it later.
They kept going through the gifts, opening more things such as white goods, bottles of wine, household items and more. There was a recipe book of dragonsbane recipes, and some other nice and useful things.
Once the gifts were all opened, it would be time for dessert. Larissa turned and whispered to Midnight "I can't wait to cut the cake together, that's always a wonderful part of weddings. I bet it's going to taste amazing since Aimi made it!" She looked at the pile of presents "What are your favourite gifts? I think I like all of them! Although I don't know what we're going to do with those wine glasses. But the tickets to the Familiar Spa were nice! Poff, Gossamer and Sapphire can all go".

The gift opening was fun. People were eager to watch us and our familiars (Gossamer and Sapphire did come over to open one or two presents, with Gossamer pecking neatly at taped areas and ribbon while Sapphire tore off paper to get at the boxes inside).
One of the ones that Gossamer had opened was a little box from my mother. He had pulled off the paper and the ribbon, and I pulled out a keyfob... with the Lotus Insignia on it. For Larissa, she had gotten one with the Chevy Logo. I wondered mildly if she had a license, or if I'd have to teach her that...
I glanced around when Larissa asked about Charlotte and Larissa, and I smiled when I saw them holding hands. Looks like Mia finally got up the courage to say something to Charlotte.
There were a lot of the otherwise standard stuff, from bottles of wine (more dragons bane Sake from Aimi) celebratory wine glasses and even a brand new teapot set that was styled after a phoenix; among a whole host of other things that I smile to look upon. Someone had even given us a pair of matching gamer's laptops, though I wonder if they had been thinking more of me then Larissa. They were both black, but Larissa's at least had pink highlights all over the thing.
"That's a tough decision, love." I whispered back as she asked me what my favorite gift was. I lifted my fob and looked at it. "I am most certainly curious as to what my parents got us..."
I also knew that Gossamer and Sapphire would appreciate the spa.
When we were done admiring the pile, I got up and gently dusted myself off; before offering my hand to Larissa to help her up. Cake cutting time and I know she would be looking forward to the absolutely glorious cake Aimi had made...

Larissa saw her mother filming the gift opening with her video camera, catching the couple's reactions to what they were given, as well as the familiars opening things, which was pretty cute. Larissa had looked at the keyfob with the Chevy logo on it in confusion but when she realised what the symbol was, her mouth fell open. "No way! Is this real? Oh my gosh" She clasped her hands over her mouth as she squealed and carried on with excitement and happiness. "I got a car! I got a car. I can't believe I have a CAR!" She looked over at Midnight's parents, clasping the keyfob to her chest. "Thank you so, so much. This...there's no way I can repay you. I just...wow, I'm blown away, thank you. I can't thank you enough!" she said to Midnight's family, sniffling and wiping some tears away. They were happy tears. She was so grateful and overwhelmed by this gift. "Oh gosh, I'll have to check my driver's license and see if it needs a renewal"
She was equally thrilled by the gaming laptop. It was really nice and way more expensive than her current one. She thanked them for the gift profusely and babbled about how she was going to put all the Sims games on it, which made people laugh. Larissa put it with Midnight's and promised them that they would have to play together on some games. "Maybe we can bring them on our honeymoon. At least we'll be able to tell them apart since mine has pink on it"
She smiled when Midnight said choosing favourite gifts was a tough decision. She looked at Midnight's keyfob, "That says Lotus. What's a lotus? We're not going to have any more flowers in the sky are we?" she said, looking nervously around. Leo was sitting there watching the events unfold. He seemed to be wearing an amused smile as he leaned back in his chair. "N-not that that would be bad or anything" she stammered, just in case Leo heard that. Maybe he would like another of his kind showing up. But still, she really hoped they didn't. "Wait..." the ditzy moment passed as she looked at her keyfob then at Midnight's. "That's a type of car" she whispered to her spouse, grinning. "Bet it's a really fancy one too"
Once all the gifts were opened, Larissa addressed their gathered friends and family with many thanks and much gratitude. She then let Midnight take her hand and they headed over to the towering confectionery of cake that stood on its own table. The cake had stars and flowers on the frosting and it was almost too beautiful to eat. Larissa picked up the knife together with Midnight. She giggled nervously "Oh gosh, how big are we supposed to cut it? Where do we cut it? Wait, maybe from the top? So the rest doesn't fall over? Or maybe the bottom but serve from the top first" she flustered, her hand and Midnight's poised on the knife.
"Just cut it!" Someone called out, making Larissa laugh some more "Okay! Just...hold on" she called back, moving the knife towards the beautiful sweet cake.
Once they actually cut a piece, Larissa would feed some to Midnight and Midnight would feed her back. As per the wedding tradition. Then it would be served to all the guest. Leo first, and with the biggest piece of course.

Perala and Quirrel watched as Larissa slowly realized what the thing in her hand was. I mused that it took her so long because she wasn't familiar with the Chevy Logo perhaps, or she had no real reason to pay attention to cars. But when it dawned on her that it was a key fob in her hand she started to gush-- as she tends to do when getting an extravagant, extraordinary gift. Perla smiled at Larissa when she was thanked. "You are welcome, dear."
Thomas had given the laptops, and he was happy to see that she liked it as much as I did. He was also amused at the mention of the Sims games.
The cake itself was magnificent: 4 tiers of cake, with icing lilies and roses at the bottom, and the icing on the bottom tier was a pale blue. Then the next tier up was gold then orange, then the next one was pink and red and then finally the top tier was purple and blue, glittering with shiny silver colored picing pearls. At the top was a pair of doves nuzzling each other, a decoration made of icing.
I think I was about as reluctant to cut the cake as Larissa was. She was kind of flustered, but we cut it together and fed to each other a lovely piece of Dragonsbane Red Velvet. My tail was happily swishing back and forth, and I was emitting a deep happy thrumm as Larissa was giving me forkfuls of the bright red cake, sheathed in pink and red icing. And I was doing the same for her; while our plates hovered in the air thanks to my earcuff.
As a large slice of cake was being cut for Leo, Thomas jumped onto a chair with a smile, a champagne flute full of a glittering red liquid in hand. "I propose a toast!" He declared loudly, attracting the attention of mostly everyone, holding the drink (a sweet dragonsbane wine) in the air. People started clinking their glasses together.
I glanced over to see that Aimi had just appeared next to Larissa and I, a pair of glasses in hand; pale gold and bubbly. "Just white grape juice, dears." She said sweetly. "I heard that you didn't want to drink today."
I accepted a champagne flute and held it up to Larissa, for when she claimed her.

Larissa ate the cake happily, it tasted delicious, and since the pregnancy made her crave things like this, it was even more amazing to her tastebuds. She was kind of sad to ruin it but once she took the first bite, she didn't care. She laughed and smiled as she fed her spouse and was fed in turn. It was fun and kind of funny when they missed each other's mouths and smeared frosting on their faces.
"Good thing mum took pictures of the cake before we cut it" Larissa giggled, licking frosting off her fingers. "This is so good. I love the combination of flavours. Your idea to mix in dragonsbane makes it taste really interesting" she smiled.
Thomas proposing a toast took her by surprise. She stared around nervously at all the upheld glasses of alcoholic beverages and quietly started to panic. Until Aimi walked over with the carbonated grape juice. She breathed a sigh of relief "Aimi, you came to our rescue! Thank you so much" she said, taking the glass of what appeared to be champagne. She lifted her glass with Midnight's and grinned as the toast was said. Before clinking their glasses together and taking a drink. The grape juice was also delicious and she made a note to buy more of this stuff when she got home, because the light, sweet liquid was very moreish to the pregnant witch. 'Light foods and sweet foods, this baby already has a preference and it's only a cluster of cells!'she thought in amusement.

As Larissa and I clicked out glasses together I licked my lips with my long draconic tongue; cleaning up all the frosting Larissa had accidentally smeared across my face when we had been feeding each other. I remember the first time I had split my tongue in-front of Larissa... now, I think, she didn't think it was so gross... anymore. (She knows I'm good with my tongue.) I gave Larissa a flirty wink as I sucked my tongue back into my mouth before sipping my drink.
Oh... this is the stuff I loved even before I became a dragon. Aimi had known just what juice to bring. I thrummed even more.
"I've known Midnight since we were in Elementary." Thomas said, continuing his speech. "She, or He back then, William, Jacob and I had a ton of fun back then. Imagine my surprise when I find I'm going to the same school as my Best friend from my school years?" He was smiling. "I met Larissa sometime after I realized it was my old friend; she's always been sweet and kind. I can't think of anyone else I'd see Midnight with!"
The people gave a clapping cheer then, and Thomas hopped down off the chair.
A few minutes later as I continued to sip my drink and nibble on cake, when I heard a thudding bass sound from outside-- and familiar male laughter. Sounds like William had taken the liberty of setting up the Karaoke set.

Larissa was used to seeing Midnight's tongue, so it didn't phase her any, though some of their guests had surprised looks on their faces. They probably didn't expect it to be so long, or split. It made Larissa laugh softly. She blushed faintly at the wink Midnight gave her and smiled. Hopefully tonight they could have some close time together. Everyone did on their wedding night, right?
She couldn't stop smiling at Midnight's thrumming sounds, glad that they were so happy. They seemed to really enjoy the sparkling grape juice too. Looks like they were both going to have to stock up on that. Larissa turned her attention to Thomas' short speech. She blushed and beamed when he called her sweet and kind, flattered by the praise and the comment about Midnight not being with anyone else but her. That really meant a lot to her. She clapped along with the crowd, clinked glasses and then turned back to cake and grape juice, consuming both with great enjoyment.
"I suppose since Thomas is your close friend, and your other friends, William and Jacob...and my friends Amity and Misty from high school,.and our friends from the academy, Charlotte, Mia, Seth, the teachers...what I'm trying to say is, I guess your friends are my friends, and my friends are your friends now~! Or at least I hope so" she giggled. "Ah, sorry, I didn't mean Seth. He's just my friend. Didn't mean to bring him up".
She heard the bass noise and laughter "What's that? Is there something happening?" she asked, confused and curious. "I know we're supposed to have games and dancing after dessert. Maybe they're starting to set up the band for the dancing. I wonder if my parents will dance? Nah, probably not..." she sighed sadly for a moment but then brightened back up. "Do you think Ms Abando will dance?! I'd like to see that!" she grinned.
