Aedus nodded and said "Yea but I figure I'll volunteer to help with the wounded since I'm one of the few who wasn't bitten, you lay down while I figure out if anything can be done for your wound." gods Aedus hoped something could be done. He didn't want to leave Niamh's side but he had to. Aedus went to look for the nurse and for Kappa to make sure he had gotten back safe. Both were important, they needed each other in this ******** up madness if any of them were going to live to see tomorrow and Aedus wanted to bloody well see tomorrow. Aedus thought of his parents, wondering if they were ok. As he walked around looking for the nurse and Kappa, he pulled out his cell phone to see if there was any signal. Yushika Aedus looking for Kappa and the nurse. Also trying to see if there are any cell bars or if service is dead.

Ganymede had made it very clear to pretty much anyone that got anywhere near him that he did not like to be touched- Foras knew this best. So when the other boy had placed his hands on Gany's shoulders, his attention was immediately drawn to him. Usually touch hurt, or was at least very uncomfortable, but Foras was being gentle. He was about to ask what Foras was doing when the hybrid leaned in and-- kissed. Kissed him. Oh. Oh. His eyes widened, markings sparking to life in little sputters of light- how was he supposed to react to this? Numbly he at least partially kissed him back- this was admittedly something he'd wanted for a while but was too scared to do.
Foras leaned back, and his attention remained fixed on him. Of course he had to say something cheesy like that. Classic Foras, saying just the right thing to cheer him up and maybe also annoy him just a little. Still, he nodded slowly, eyes focused on Foras's. "I b--believe you." About the first bit, anyway- old wounds were far too deep for him to want to put too much thought into Foras's second statement. He allowed himself to be drawn into the hug, and rested his head against Foras's chest. "...I-..." He should say it back. It was true, so why was it hard? "I love you too." There... quiet, not really all that audible, but... confirmed.
Ava left- or rather, retreated after a freshling had gone to speak to her. That... really just made him even more worried. He rocked in place slowly, wringing his hands as he observed with wide eyes all of the search party members come over to the medical station for treatment. Oh, those bites looked bad.

Eilwen was usually very nervous about touching other people. Even just a hand shake could be hard from her. It was a work in progress for her and at least she didn't mind Erion hanging all over her. When Kingston bent down to give her a hug she froze for a second, but realizing he was just trying to give her some comfort she reached up left her left arm to pat him on the back as well.
She looked him over when he moved away and was relieved that at least he had avoided the bite of one of those monsters. She actually turned a glare toward Vanna when he mentioned that he would leave if they wanted him to. Did he seriously think they'd want him to go somewhere else? If he hadn't done what he did they'd all probably be dead right now. If anything, she didn't want to be further than a few feet from him.
"You can't leave...." She wasn't sobbing anymore, but there were still silent tears running down her face. She didn't know how much longer they would all be safe down here. "Besides, my legs are like jello. And I really need your help to get over to the medical station. This...thing...is still bleeding." She'd never seen so much of her own blood. And looking down at herself for the first time she realized she was pretty much covered in it. It must have been from when Vanna had picked her up. He was pretty messy himself, though she was pretty sure most of it wasn't his but...whatever those things were.
She looked over at the medical station. Those who had been wounded before were over there, almost like they were in a quarantine. They all looked like they'd gotten worse while they had been outside of the bunker. How long had it been exactly? It was hard for her to keep up with the time anymore. Were they going to get better? Right now her would just ached, she only felt dizzy because of her own anxiety and the sight of blood. It was obvious to her that they were going to get sick like that before long though.
"H-help me up, please." She reached out her hand to Vanna, if she didn't at least get cleaned up over at the medical station she was pretty sure she'd pass out.

It seemed that Foras' gamble had paid off. It was hard to hear, but there was a confirmation there. There was no doubt that Gany and Foras had been through a lot together, but this would probably be the hardest thing they ever had to deal with. Just getting through this day and the days after. Whatever ends up happening, at least they had finally admitted to each other how they felt.
"I knew you did." He released Gany and gave him a little 'boop' on his nose. He was trying to act a little more like his old self, before this whole fiasco. They couldn't leave the bunker now, those things were right outside and probably trying to figure out how to get in themselves. Their only hope was that someone would come and rescue them all. Take out those monsters outside. Somewhere the people of Below were uniting, gathering what they could, and working on a counter attack.
"Right now, let's just sit down and be together." He just wanted to be with Ganymede right now. He didn't want to think what was outside the bunker at all.

They were safe again in the underground bunker, though for how long was anyone's guess. It could be a stronghold forever, or perhaps only a few days. Chunli couldn't focus on much. As soon as the adrenaline wore off, and oh how it wore off, the chimera was left disoriented. Tired and weary, muscles sore and the bite wound on her neck burning and leaving trails of numbness down her arms.
"s**t..." At the very least she was being bandaged, the healing magic Miss Yuki used was staunching the blood loss enough that she didn't need to worry about dying. Ruby was saying something, and the Chimera clued in at the last part. Chunli only grunted, incapable of saying more at the moment. Everything was just too - too loud, too bright, too painful, too troublesome.
"Been better, but 'm alive." a wry chuckle work out of her bitter, twisted smile, "Looks like you're in the same boat. Let's... find a wall to sit." sitting sounded good. No more wobbling on her feet.

"Sitting... yeah, that sounds good.". Ruby felt suddenly, and alarmingly, tired. She supposed the adrenaline must have worn off, but that didn't account for the small, slow spin the room did right in front of her eyes. She led Chunli to a wall, gently touching the Chimera's arm. It was partially for sake of not losing her in the crowd, but partially for her own sake. She needed to feel grounded, connected to the world around her. Her legs were shaking, maybe from all the running she'd just had to do. She'd never run through those halls like that when she was late for class. Sleeping for a year or so sounded like a good deal right now.
When they had finally slid down the concrete in the bunker to settle on the floor, Ruby leaned her head back against the wall. "Did you see those things?" she asked Chunli. Ruby herself had not had a good look. "They were shaped like people but... were they scary or what?". Scary was an understatement. They had been attacked.

He stood waiting for their decision and looked them over. It looked as if he had the most damage as he was pretty sure something was sprained considering those things packed quite a punch. However the emotional damage, well it was looking like that was far worse. Extremely far worse. Coco and Eilwen were extremely shaken and Kingston. Kingston looked utterly lost. He didn’t blame the grimm. He was still waiting to see if they were going to be okay with the fact he had just pretty much just murdered someone in front of them. “I wasn’t…” Vanna trailed off as Kingston punched him in the arm and then followed up with hugging him. Okay yeah he probably deserved that punch. As well as the sudden shouting from Coco. Well two down, he was now about 80 % sure Eilwen was about to yell at him. She didn’t disappoint even if it was mostly just glaring at him. “I wasn’t actually wanting to leave, but if that’s how you guys feel then I’ll stay.” He replied frowning at the wound. “we should all get checked out. I know Coco got bitten as well. See if Ms. Yuki made any progress with the bites” although looking at the others that had come in from the safe houses. Well it was obvious she hadn’t. Still standing here bleeding on the floor was no way to go and he offer his hand to Eilwen to take. "I figure you probably don't want me to just carry you again." Vanna commented in what could have almost been an amused tone in any other circumstances.

Coco was still really upset, they had found the freshling, but at what cost?? Would she die? Would she turn into a zombie or a cannibal?? Coco was still crying as she pondered all the big scary stuff, how many had been bitten? Would they ever get better? What was going to happen to everyone?? How long would they be down here?? Would they run out of food and water?? If they didn't die of their wounds would they all starve?? Coco's arm was still bleeding from the humanoid teeth marks torn into her upper arm. If somehow she got through everything else, how badly would Coco's arm scar? Would her arm ever work as it did before this all happened? Would Coco still be able to be the artist she wanted to be?? What if she lost dexterity in her hand on the arm that was wounded?? All these questions ran around in Coco's head and there likely wouldn't be many answers if she let any of the questions out. Coco kept her mouth shut, she would apologize for yelling at Vanna but she feared all her questions would just pop out and she would be even more afraid than she already was.

A sense of gratitude washed over Adee as Illya hoisted her up. Her leg burned like nothing she'd ever felt. As much as the hybrid didn't want to look at her wound, she spared a glance. And instantly regretted it. Now the awful burning feeling was mixed with a desire to empty her stomach.
Getting back into the bunker was a blur to Adalyn, mostly involving fighting her rising urge to throw up. Finally safely back inside, all she could manage was thanking her saviour. "Thank you Illya. I'm pretty sure you saved my life back there."
Darkness started to flit at the edges of Adee's vision. "I... I think I need medical help. "

Arabelle accepted the bottle back and took a shaky sip, spilling just a little. She lowered the bottle to her lap and glanced over at the milling group of people. "So they found the child huh. That's good." She made a face as a wave of nausea swept over her, doing her best to ride it out. The noise of all the people felt like it was suddenly pressing against her ears, filling her with more irritation and the urge to cover them. Strange, she should probably have been more worried to hear the school had been invaded as well, but it was like irritability was winning out over fear in her mind. Arabelle pressed a hand to her forehead and applied pressure, sighing and trying to bring back some more focus. "Injured people. I assume with bites?" A harsh chuckle devoid of humor escaped with her exhaled breath. "Well I guess now's the time to take notes. If it's the same people, those with injuries are going to start feeling pretty bad once the adrenaline begins to settle, and there won't be much the nurse can do." She winced as her shoulder sent another throb of pain out, but it was such an all-encompassing ache that sometimes it almost felt numb. "I don't know what those people are or what happened to them, but..." Arabelle looked up at the kid. It she wondered if she might be frightening him. Some were pretty sturdy, but you never knew. "This isn't like anything I've felt before. It's like I wasn't just bit, I was poisoned. We don't know anything about those people, so maybe it's not too far a stretch to assume they're venomous."

Chervil was still inwardly taken aback at the somberness of the child before him; he then wondered if maybe his expectations might be a little farfetched; it wasn't as though he hung around children a lot. The community college didn't see many freshlings, and his own experience with younger students was limited outside of work, since he mostly kept to himself. Perhaps he was just expecting them to handle things with more emotion than the adults did, but on the other hand, that wasn't too much of a stretch after seeing some of the previous hysterics. As he mused, he barely noticed Fio jump gracefully down from his shoulder and trot over to the stuffed toy that had been so carefully placed, sniffing it and raising his paw for a half-hearted swat.
Suddenly the commotion of the returning party caused Chervil to look up quickly, his eyes widening as he saw the injured and plainly shaken group, child in tow but clearly having had a narrow escape from something terrifying. He recalled the creatures that had chased them out of the university, the ones that had clawed and bitten several of the ones currently here. Had they found them already? How close were they when the group had gotten away? Had anyone been left behind?
He walked over to the crowd and quickened his pace as he once again noticed a familiar face among the wounded. "Oh no; Adalyn!" He rushed over to where she was being helped by another, but clearly struggling to keep things in focus. "What happened out there? Was it the same creatures as before?"

The pain from her leg intensified, to the point where tears streamed down her cheeks. The edges of her vision was dark and fuzzy, but she clung to consciousness. This seemed like a highly impractical time to pass out.
Everything was getting more than a touch fuzzy when Chervil burst into her vision. She nodded weakly to his questions. "Yeah. Illya saved my from them." She took a deep breath and glance down again at her mangled leg and knee. "Is this beyond your skill to patch up?" Adee tried to force a hopeful smile, but perhaps it came across as more of a grimace.
She tried her best to keep her thoughts away from if there was someone in the bunker equipped to deal with this sort of a medical emergency. ... Or perhaps this wasn't quite emergency levels. She sure hoped it wasn't.

Illya half-carried, half-guided Adee back to the bunker. She was pretty sure that the hybrid was about to retch, but she was willing to sacrifice her hygiene in the name of a comrade's safety. The idea didn't bother her. "It's no problem, Adalyn," she said. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you from that bite." I wish I could have seen the b*****d that bit you. "We'll get you medical help, don't worry. You'll be back on your hooves in no time."
They were approached by a Dryad that clearly recognized Adalyn--apparently a friend of Adalyn's at the very least. Illya nodded at him. "Are you a medic--a doctor, then?" He looked competent enough, though Illya really had no way to tell either way what people did. "Either way, I think we should find a place to sit her down. She needs to get off her hooves for a little while."

Kunibert collapsed on the floor of the bunker like a fire that had gone out.
So tired. So weak. He was bleeding. No one seemed to have noticed. Where were the others? Had he abandoned them? He thought of Gaius, who was so young, but so brave, and Ashi who was so frightened. He didn't like to think he'd left them there. He didn't like to think that the b*****d that had bitten him had gotten them. What if it had? What if it had grabbed them with its claws, and talked to them...whispered...
Marsh had crawled out of his blood-stained pocket and was meowing loudly into his ear. He tried to brush her away, but she was having none of it. She nipped him--lightly--gently--on one of his leaves. He sat up with a yelp of pain. "Marsh!" he shouted. The kitten flinched, then cautiously moved forward to nuzzle his hand. He sighed and scooped her up, then made his way, limping and stumbling, over to the nurse's station.Quote: Kunibert is free for interaction, I think?

Enomu's attention was on Chervil, so he didn't notice Fio's actions until after Chervil had run off to a presumed friend. He let out a yell of anger that was really quite over the top for such a mild thing and ran at the familiar to get them away from Shiroi to right it. One shouldn't treat vespercats disrespectfully, but he had forgotten that in his fear and by the time he remembered, the damage had already been done.
He frantically set Shiroi to rights and turned back with Kuroi to crawl into the makeshift hiding spot that had been made for him. Oh, he was in so much trouble! The people eaters were surely going to get them now, and all because of him! He clung to the necklace and whimpered. He was such a bad person, such a bad son. He deserved it, and everyone else was going to die too!
