Well...it sort of worked...Impromptu closed his eyes as he grabbed the Sunkern blindly, his bite not coming down as hard as it should though the grass type would still get caught in between his jaws as the Growlithe gave him a good bite down. "> Whah wunt yew sqwak! <" his voice came out muffled because of the Sunkern in his mouth, but it was easy enough to tell what he was saying.
He spit the Sunkern out on the ground, getting into a playful crouch as he began to paw at the small pokemon. His tail wagged as he did this, and he seemed to forget all about defending against the Sunkern as his playful side took over.

The plan in one's mind tend to be a lot clearer than what actually happens as the boy's crazy dive grew crazier as he would actually jump towards the whirlpool. His aim the eye of the storm as the Onix would find himself missing it completely as it shifted away from him ...the water sprays miss hitting his hide by inches as Raven would indeed dive straight down through the eye of the storm that .....since it originated from a single point only grew smaller as he would smack into the wall of water crashing through and actually breaking the move.
The center afterall was it's weakest point.
It should have been perfect, but, then he would see the limb as he passes it by it on his own way down. The swish of water had hide where he was falling...the sneasel on the end of the limb watches as the boy passes by the branch.
Only another foot and he could have snagged it as he would plummet it pass the point ...the pokeball that he had aimed for was just a few feet away ......this was his first attempt and it had failed just slightly ...as the crashing of the Onix against the nearby ledge would shake the limb enough to actually send both the sneasel and the pokeball tumbling into the void once more as the branch broke.
The two would miss the ledge that the Onix had caught ......
(To end up on the same ledge as the sneasel and the pokeball .....don't over roll their fall roll)

((Sorry, it's already bed time on my end ...so I might not make too much sense sometimes))
The Sunkern was caught, but his plan had worked. THis wasn't the end of the road for him as he felt those teeth sink in ....he wasn't done ..not at all. He had been gathering the rays of the sun as he was attacked, and now was the time to use it as he focused it all on the pokemon in front of him.
He needed to get some of his energy back, and the only way that would work ....he would fired it at point blank range then as he used ...absorb once more.
"SUNKERN!"
(STOP ******** WITH ME!)
He screamed as he shot off the attack.

Again the Aerodactyl would only succeed in taking a bite out of empty space, an updraft abruptly causing Aella to rise above the path of her opponents dive-bomb.
Snarling in annoyance, the Aerodactyl unfurled it's wings, rising higher into the air upon the same updraft which had caught the Emolga. Aella wasn't out of the creatures striking range yet however.
Pulling itself free of the short lived glide, the ancient Pokemon began to beat it's smokey wings. The air churned about it, wisps of it's body blending with the updraft to form a dark wind...an Ominous Wind.
Tooth and claw had failed, so now it was trying to turn the very things that kept the Emolga afloat against it!

Through that had been the plan such an attack would leave the creature open as Victoria saw it in that moment. Her fear had tunneled her vision as she watches that gastly creature take to the air after her own pokemon ....Aella was heading upwards. The higher they got the more dangerous this battle got for her ....the sky wasn't her friend when she dealt with a real flyer ....as the girl would call out seeing only one way to end this.
"AELLA AIM FOR ITS WINGS ...SLICE THROUGH THEM."
She shouted upwards. The stutter for the moment lost as she saw the one thing that made sense to her ....the creature was flying upwards, but that meant that it's wings were very important to keep it afloat. WIthout one ...it would plummet. This was their chance to try and end things quickly, but it would all relay on luck as the Emolga would close her arms ....folding the skin inbetween them completely shut as she would actually arch herself and then ....with her tail floating past her ear ...she would level out for just one moment before she plummet back downwards.
Her tail fluttering behind her ...as the wind behind her would become as sharp as any sword. She was literally going to cut the air with her fall as she used Air slash ......this was a double dangerous move, because as she fell she would also lose the upper hand. In an air battle this could easily mean death.

Raven choked and coughed as he hit the middle of the whirlpool, part due to the force knocking the wind out of his lungs, and part because he'd inhaled some of the water. He probably wasn't going to be trying that again any time soon...
Genn would release a groan two fold as he hit the ledge. The first was from pain, the second of disappointment. It was over already? Why did the kid get to have all the fun and still be free falling!?
The rushing wind around his body blocking out all sound, Raven didn't even take notice that Genn had stopped falling with him. In fact, not for an instant since the water had cleared did his eyes leave the Pokeball. Both Pokemon had fought hard in that battle, and he wasn't about to lose part of what he'd gained from it!
Pulling his sword free from it's sheath, the boy placed both hands upon the hilt of the weapon. Gritting his teeth as he braced the pain that was about to follow, Raven swung the weapon outward in hopes of catching the ledge where Sneasel and Ball had landed. "RRRRRAAAAAAAAWGH!" He let a cry escape his lips.

The ball of Absorb hit him right on the nose, and he was kinda dumbstruck as he felt energy drain out of him...kinda slowly and only a little really. Thank goodness for typing, right?
The Growlithe look confused. Did...did the squeeky just hurt him? "> Hey! Squeakys aren't supposed to hurt you! <" he kept looking at the Sunkern in a crouched position and it was all silent for a bit. And then...
He opened his mouth up wide, slowly stretching over to the Sunkern as a low "ommmmm" sound came out of his mouth. Was he...giving it a test Bite?

It was always easier to climb up something than down .....and as the Sneasel hit the ledge with a dull thud ...it became more visible of that fact. She hadn't expected to hit so hard, and as she looked to see the boy with a sword in his hand ....catch the ledge she got up tremblingly. She was hurt and in pain, but the sight of metal made her think of one thing ...this person was going to hurt her.
She couldn't allow that as she stood up ...the pokeball that he so desired rest just behind her.

((Aw, those things put me to sleep ...quite literally))
The pokemon's jaws came at him ...as he slips backwards a bit. He was trying to simply defend now, he had regain some strength from that attack and as the dog would declares that a squeaky toy isn't suppose to hurt you he froze.
"Sunkern?"
((You're rather stupid aren't you?))
He couldn't do much more than that as he rocks backwards in his own surprise. This was the first time he every had a battle where his opponent didn't seem to even understand they were battling.

The sound of the roaring wind would pale in comparison to the Aerodactyl's guttural cry. In the first few moments as the Emolga passed it would physically look as if nothing had happened to the ancient creature...until half of it's entire left wing fell off, losing shape to become a cloud of black-purple smoke before disappearing entirely.
Once the master of the sky, the Aerodactyl would now begin tumbling through the air; plummeting toward the ground.
The earth would shake as the ancient beast hit the ground, leaving a crater all it's own in the process. Smoke began to rise up from all over it's body like blood spilling from wounds; then all at once it's flesh would vanish. In it's place was left only the broken, shattered remains of an Aerodactyl skeleton.
Well..that wasn't entirely true...
The flesh gone, something would double free from the beasts ribcage. Glowing ominously, a dark stone now sat upon the ground. Crystalline in nature, it almost seemed like it was filled with a purple smoke of a different sort then the undead creature they'd just fought.
Lodged in the former Aerodactyl's skull was a strange shard which seemed to shift between various shades of black and purple. Were one to hold it near their ear, they would hear the anguished moans and wails of more then a dozen voices. Was this what had brought the creature life?
Along with these ominous findings there would be one other thing of course...Amber. The Aerodactyl's impact had fulled unearthed the chunk Victoria had originally discovered.
[Victoria gained: Dusk Stone x1, Soul Shard x1, Ancient Amber x 1]
[Aella gained: 122 EXP]

"> Ommmm...noooom! <" Impromptu bit down on the top part of the Sunkern, the expression on his face brightening. "> omnumnumnum! <" he made the noise as he nibbled on the Sunkerns head, a happy smile on his face. Yup, still tasted like a good squeaky! A warm, grassy squeaky, but a squeaky!
And then...he stopped nibbling. "> Stawpud? <" he let go of the Sunkern, his voice becoming clear again. "> Hey no, wait, I'm smart! <" He stood up straight now, head held high. "> I'm the smartest dog there's ever been! In fact, that wasn't really nice! <" he turned around, sitting down right on top of the Sunkern. "> I'm not getting off until you say sorry! <"

Metal sliced into rock, wedging itself into the ledge...though based on the boy's weight, it clearly wouldn't last for long.
Releasing one hand, Raven grabbed onto the ledge itself, pulling himself up upon it with a groan. Oh yes, that had definitely hurt. It was by miracle alone his arms hadn't dislocated from the sudden stop. Still, he was alive, and right there was the Pokeball.
Giving a slightly pained sigh, the boy immediately sheathed his sword. Well at least he'd be stronger for the experience. Not simply for the new partner he'd have as soon as the ball was on his belt, but these events had taught him something. He wasn't quite sure what that was...but he'd figure it out as soon as everything stomached screaming at him in pain.
Looking to where the ball now lay, Raven's gaze caught the Sneasel. Given the width of the ledge, she was sort of in the way.
Then another thought had occurred to him. He had been trying to save her from the branch...and in a sense he'd sort of succeeded hadn't he? Well, they both appeared to be alive. Still, he supposed it didn't hurt to ask "You alright?" The words were directed at the Sneasel as he lifted a brow.

The Chikorita gasped for breath, the pain too much for her to even manage a scream. Eventually she managed to cough, thick green blood more akin to sap splattering across the ground. So, these travelers were real warriors...very well, then they would taste her steel...erm...leaf.
Straightening, the Chikorita began taking deep, slow breaths. She was channeling her pain...channeling her anger. Rage was destructive on it's own, but when focused it could be deadly.
A dark red aura began exuding from the leaf atop the Chikorita's head, and in the next instant, she flung herself forward. This was an attack which would grow stronger with each successive slice...one that channeled rage into true power...this was the infamous Fury Cutter!

 Aella Emolga [F] Lv 3 Nature: Rash Stats: HP:17/17/PP:21/ATK:10/DEF:9/SPD:12/SP-ATK:11/SP-DEF:8 MOVES: - Air Slash - Charm EXP: 205/200 Aella gains a level - learned Quick attack
The girl watches as the pokemon crashes into the ground as Aella glides to a stop just a few feet from it. Her tail being blown backwards over her own shoulder as the creature crashes ....they had won.
She turned around with a smirk as Victoria watches the mist swirl from the creature. An unearthy scream would seem to billow from it to her, but it was over as it all faded to nothing but the pulse of a dark stone and a soul shard. She had never seen anything like that before ...a soul shard, but she tentatively went into it's midst to collect the three things. The Amber was much easier somehow to pocket than the original piece had been as she looks over at the Emolga as it came running back towards her.
She wore the grin of victory as she grew stronger from that encounter.
The girl had to admit, though Aella didn't look it she is an incredibly tough squirrel. The Sunkern had thought it at one point, but he was sure of it now. He is really stupid ...as the pokemon would once more aim it's absorb at the pokemon's bottom as he charges up his attack once more. Absorb, he was going to take all the nutrients he needs from his bottom.
That thought would suddenly stop ...as he realized that it didn't seem quite right to suck his energy from this pokemon's butt. Then again, he was afterall being sat on ...and it was one way to get him up as he aimed his absorb then at his tail.
