She smiled at him in a teasing manner then said, "So are you going to tell me how to find out?"

Xavier finally shrugged and nodded. "Yep." It was that simple an answer for him, and yet he had kept it from Summer in the form of stalling. He visibly blushed when Summer mentioned the stripping and smirked at her, lowering his hands to her waist without responding in words.

Roman nodded slowly. "Good answer, too," he replied, looking faraway. "If I were to die tomorrow, I think my one biggest regret would be having lived my life afraid. Because I have, you know. I've been afraid of so many things, most of them ridiculous things. But if I were to regret one thing, it would be that." Shaking his head a little and leaning back, he said, "Well, that was a morbid way to continue the conversation."

"Yeah, I guess so." Kahlilia said airily, not bored but very thoughtful and drifting emotionally. With one hand, she put her fingers into the water and swished it gently, making the tadpoles swim away franctically. She thought, did that mean a change - even a simple one - could startle a whole group enough to make them flee? She stopped swishing at the thought. Evantually, she lifted her hand out of the water and looked at it for a split second, as though wondering it could somehow be able to tell her something. No, that was silly.
Although beyond the abundance of trees the weather was sunny and hot, Kahlilia felt fog had somehow snaked its way into the trees and by the pond. It was a wierd feeling.

"What are you going to do now?" she asked stepping closer and wrapping her arms around his neck bring her lips close to his.

Roman did not try to interrupt her thoughts, too caught up in his own. What he'd told her was true enough, but it went a little deeper than that. Although he wouldn't have admitted it for the world, he wished he had been able to accept love given to him freely - by family, by friends. He never had.
And now it seemed that it had become ingrained in him. That was why he had turned so instinctively to Phoenix - the proud stallion had seemed like a horse that would give affection very slowly, and before it did, Roman had assumed he would be gone.
It hadn't worked out that way.
God, what kind of world is this, when the affection of a dumb beast is enough to send me into a panic?

Yessir! She pulled up beside Chris and held Bessie at th same pace as the house drew neared. Finally they made it to the barn and Nanina slipped off the mare's back and began to unsaddle her.

Chris pulled to a stop right next to Nanina and then jumped off his saddle and began unsaddling Thunder. He then took the horse into his stall brushed him off put food in for him then went to wait until Nanina was done. "So what do you fell like eating?" he asked her.

Anything I can find. Nanina answered as she lead Bessie to her stall and brushed her down. After taking care of her, Nanina grabbed her pants and boots from off the saddle and walked over to Chris, tugging the bottom of his jacket lower so it covered more.

Chris picked her up then swong her onto his back, "How about a piggy back ride?" he asked her. "Oh did you know I can cook?" he asked smiling.

Nnnng. . . She grumbled akwardly as she wrapped her legs around his waist and tryed not to slip off. I can cook enough to survive. Nanina told him as they headed for the kitchen.

"I take it you can but I can cook just about anything you could want, you name it I could probably cook it," he told her holding onto her legs so she wouldn't slide off.

Nanina pushed open the kitchen door and looked around. Seeing no one, she made a bee line for the fridge and flung open the door.

"So are you not talking to me?" Chris asked her. He walked over to the fridge didn't see anything very good to eat in there and started going through the cupboards. "I think i'm going to make spaghetti do you want any?"

Nanina grabbed a pound of hamburger and dropped it into teh sink. Yes please. She smiled and grabbed some pasta from a drawer.
