Adeva watched as Dark approached her. She felt fairly uncomfortable by his presence. Her grip tightened to point of wear the staff would be digging into her hand. She stepped back a bit and listened to him speak. Her body began to shake and her eyes grew wide, hearing his words. "D-Dark...? Are you..." She stopped and let out a loud scream, as lunged at her. She stepped back more, stumbling over a root and falling onto her back. She quickly raised her staff to block his blade, closing her eyes shut tight.

You'll never expect what you can't see...
((Wow, she screamed... I'll admit, I didn't expect that. I am impressed.))
She fell back. The attack missed, clashing instead with her staff. Surprisingly, her strength could hold him back... But then again, he wasn't trying. He leaned in closely to the locked weapons, still smirking. "Go ahead. Scream all you want. This far out, they won't hear you." He stood up fully once more, and just started beating down on her outstretched weapon. Either she would give, or it would after enough thrashing.
Par'il was standing just outside the arena grounds. The shrubbery just barely hid his presence. In the dirt, was a small symbol showing Siom's path for his attack in the arena. 'I had no idea that a basis in elemental magic could have a physical counterpart.' A scream echoed through the trees; it was soft - nearly unnoticeable - but his ears could pick it up. "Adeva!" His voice was in a whisper. He took off towards the sound.
((Note to all, Lady Zelda will be gone until Sunday.))

Graff put the cooked steaks in a platter, "one, two, three... our steaks are done... and Im gonna open another beer barrel, what do you want to drink?, wine, water? I dont think you like beer..."

((I'm back, sorry for the long wait everyone.))
"Um, I think milk would be fine." Kayla replied. She took the cooked mashed potatoes off of the burner and placed the pot on a pot holder upon the counter to let it cool down a bit. She then cleaned up the area by washing off the surface of the stove with a wet washcloth. Kayla then proceeded to start washing the dirty dishes in the sink. 'I hope miss Gnareen won't mind the help.' she thought.

Shin-lu giggled at Siom. "That makes it sound like I'm hitting on you." She grinned. "I just meant that you want to follow Ilyana to where I guess someone's cooking something." Shin-lu looked up at Ilyana to make sure she didn't get too far ahead.

Siom blushed, but quickly shook it off. 'That most certainly wasn't what I meant.' "Sure, we could tag along." Siom turned to watch Ilyana as she drolly followed the scent.

Isaac took out a blank piece of paper and pen, and began to write.
Dear Windchaser,
How are you doing? I hope all is well back home. Take it easy and don't do anything too strenuous. Kayla's doing fine here at the Gladiator's arena. Unfortunately, her curse mark is already half way complete. I'm not sure how much time is left, but I hope someday there will be a way to remove it permanently. She has gone to the healer in Skylark's village nearby who gave her a potion to temporarily help calm the burning pain. I hope to hear from you soon.

Shin-lu giggled as she caught Siom's blush as she ran after Ilyana, catching up and giving her a piggy-bank as she walked back to the den and walked in. "Hello! What smells so good that Ilyana's is now drooling on me?" Shin-lu asked as said drool dropped onto her head as she kept a firm hold so that she didn't spring at the food.

Kayla finished putting the dried dishes away and went over to sit at the counter. Isaac rolled up the letter he was working on and put it in his pocket for later. He then took a seat next to Kayla at the counter. "Smells good." he said.

"Kayla! Hi!" Shin-lu grinned as she walked over, Ilyana still on her back and drooling onto her head. "Who's cooking?" She asked as she sat down on the other side of her. She looked over at Issac. "Hello there, have we met?" She asked.
Ilyana was looking into the kitchen, held only by Shin-lu's grip. "food.."
"I just fed you!"

Kayla looked at Shin-lu, smiling sweetly. "Hi Shin-lu!" she said. Isaac turned to the girl next to him on his left. "I don't believe we have. I'm Isaac the Sword, Kayla's father. It's good to meet you miss Shin-lu." he said with a kind smile. Kayla turned back to Graff. "The potatoes should be cooled down by now. Are the steaks ready Graff?" she asked him.
((Goodness, I wonder if Siom will join everyone in the lounge?))

Shin-lu nodded to Issac smiling. "It's nice to meet you too. Your daughter's a very good fighter." She said as she noticed Ilyana clawing into her skull now. "Umm Graff! Can you throw me an old biscuit or something? Ilyana's getting hungry...again!"

Siom trailed a ways behind Shin-lu at his own pace. He approached the door to the lounge. Shin-lu had already rushed inside. The smell of the steaks was great. It had been awhile since someone else had made meat for taste. Not to say Gnareen's food was good, but it's nice to have flavor every once in a while. He walked into the lounge where Kayla and Shin-lu were conversing with another person who seemed only mildly familiar. He began to approach, "What's going on?" He continued to think where this man could have come from or where he may have been seen before.

Presea_cousin Shin-lu nodded to Issac smiling. "It's nice to meet you too. Your daughter's a very good fighter." She said as she noticed Ilyana clawing into her skull now. "Umm Graff! Can you throw me an old biscuit or something? Ilyana's getting hungry...again!" Graff looks at the ravenous Ilyana trying to get free from Shin Lu, "... eek sure... Im gonna give you... something to keep her busy, until I cook his steak... or steaks more likely..." Graff throw Shin Lu a loaf of bread as he rises and go back to the kitchen "good thing the coals are still burning..."

((Sorry for not posting, I'm sort of dealing with a mild case of writer's block!))
Kayla heard Siom walk in. Just as the door was about to close, a light fiery red colored female phoenix flew in, singing happily as she perched on Kayla's left shoulder with a letter tied to her leg. *Well hello Isabelle, what brings you here?* she sent in greeting to the phoenix. *Oh Kayla, it's good to see you again! I come bringing you a message from your mother Windchaser.* Isabelle sent back in reply.
