"Uh..." Zero tilted his head, slightly confused by Freyr's unnecessary outburst at Toya. "I said to take care of him, not scold him. Anyways, the upper living quarter's of the tower are protected by holy artifacts that I've collected over the centuries. It's one reason that demons aren't in the tower, not only because they aren't allowed, but they also couldn't survive. The same with the souls, either the evil soul would be purified and go to who knows where, or they would be destroyed. As for dark souls that spread else where, we may need to contact some type of holy figure to help us from one of the other clans. Though I can safely say we aren't exactly friends with anyone after the stunt Dusk pulled." Zero few step to the front of the tank and rubbed his hand over a cannon. "I wonder if I could build something to help ourselves then..."

Freyr nodded, "With all of the tech stuff you have going on I'm sure you'll think of something. And, If we play this out correctly politically then we may be able to gain instead of lose from this mishap." She looked bitter in every respect right now, clearly irked. Let Zero almost get killed and still be in a good mood. HA! Freyr stretched her legs as best she could as they came within walking distance of the tower. "What about the portal..." She whispered to herself, "They could come back..."

"I never was one for politics, and I can't exactly see the good side of destroying a village. The odds are still against us." As the tank pulled up to the tower, the other tanks positioned themselves in a defensive pattern around the tower. Echo even jumped off his own tank and headed for the main entrance. Zero turned to Freyr, "I suspect something has happened to the portal. It explains all the activity amongst the demons. I'm not sure if you can tell, but the dark aura in the area seems to have dissipated some while we've been away. The atmosphere is usually much thicker."

Freyr chuckled, "Probably not very good. But it weakened their Clan and we could say we were forced to follow Dusk's orders." She glanced over at Echo, "Who is that anyway..." She listened to Zero's answer before replying, "Ai. It seems so. But my instincts. And my power tells me that the portal let something out."

Echo reach the large door lock and took a grasp of the locking dial. His hand quickly rotated at the wrist, almost like a power drill, continually switching directions as he put in the complex lock combination. "This is Echo, he is a combat mech I built. His role has continuously changed between my tactical officer, a front lines combatant, and even a few hundred years ago he served as a diplomat in the Fire Clan. I'm curious if anyone there would recognize him now." Zero reached both hands out to help Freyr and Toya step off the tank. "If you will, please follow him up to the rooms. I plan to investigate the gateway to see if anything has happened."

Freyr accepted Zero's hand with a reluctant grin and got off the tank, "Wow, That's really impressive Zero. You have a real grasp for technology." She turned and began to follow after Echo, "Good luck with the portal... Just avoid Ayumu... The one you and Dusk caught me about to tickle to death... And the one Dusk left me to be killed by." Her face had turned into a dark smirk as she walked.

A section of air shimmered like the road on a hot summer day a small section waved like a pocket of supper heated air. That spot gradually grew larger over a small amount of time before falling down into the earth. Minutes pass with no change but as the hour reaches a mere thirty minutes from the appearance of the invisible substance a gate began to raise slowly out of the ground shaking they earth around the site. the gate it self was elaborately crafted solid stone from the ground forming a large rectangle. A portal illuminated the interior of the gate and a large balrog stepped through.
The balrog stretched out its wings and cracked its neck then slowly scanned they area. After a few minutes the balrog stepped completely through the portal its tail rearing up behind it as it started to walk. A mixed group of demons and ogres fallowed directly behind him one seemed to be enjoying nowing on the severed leg of another demon. the group was small only 32 passed through before the portal closed on its own.
The balrog's body closed in on itself as it took on a more human appearance. Kagai turned his head to address his flock a few of the much weaker flinched visibly as his gaze washed over them.
"Make camp and rest for a wile until i say other wise" Kagai said distastefully before walking a few paces and sitting in a simple wooden chair a large ogre had been carrying and started to keep watch.
The group simply sat where they where a few feet apart a few talking amongst themselves.

"I have made a decision that castle off in the distance is where we are headed. Those who crossed over before us may have built it regardless where moving out." Kagai said in a booming voice after a few hours of thinking.
The demons and ogres rustled around and rose from there positions on the ground. few small fires where stomped out and they fell in line behind kagai who was already making his approach. The demonic wings that connect to his shoulder blades where rapped around him like a strange cloak. the thumbs on the wings gripping down on the opposing shoulder.
Kagai's stature and the way he carried himself even as he walked was proud and strong. Weakness lead to downfall with the lot that fallowed. If nothing else the creatures of hell respected strength religiously. So kagai always portrait his strength and kept his guard sharp. He glared over the landscape as he walked in the direction of the castle a few demons every so often would stare and fallow as if drawn in like cows to the slaughter.

(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I don't want to use my torture devices to early! twisted )
Freyr pauses, "One moment, good mech, Be with you soon." She turned around and walked to the other side of the tanks. Freyr quickly turned into her Lupine from and grinned. She felt very glad that she could see the future now. She began walking in a large circle around Zero's tower and facilities. As she walked she aimed her light beam at the ground, creating a barrier of plain old holy goodness!

Kagai's eyes stopped on a tower off in the distance the sudden power serge and shining light perplexed him a bit. In response to that faint distraction a goblin of all things one of the simplest and weakest creatures lunged out from Kagai's side. It leaped through they air aiming its axe for his head. The being had fallowed behind Kagai's group and maid its way up the line. It had been rooming this land on its own before hand.
Kagai turned and crouched pulling his left hand up one would assume he was rearing for a glancing uppercut style blow by the way he positioned himself but he was far to low and his enemy to close for that to be the case. Kagai's hand buried it self claws first into the goblins stummic pushing into its body despite its cry of protest. kagai's hand continued upward untill his forearm was hidden and blood pored to the ground from his elbow. In the meantime the axe's handle had bounced against Kagai's shoulder before the creature lost its grip.
Finding the object he was looking for Kagai's hand closed around the flailing goblins beating heart and pulled his arm free of the torso in one quick motion. The goblin's eyes glazed over and kagai glanced backward once briefly before continuing his walk toured the castle. Once the heart stopped beating he tossed the heart over to an ogres awaiting mouth the very one that carried the wooden chair.
"the weak test my patience constantly" Kagai said to himself annoyed

Echo's hand stopped spinning a moment later, the sound of something heavy and metal could be heard, making a few clicks and a 'clunk' sound, around the frame of the door. He spread his feet apart for leverage and placed his hand into a couple groves of the door. With a bit of strain at first, Echo started to roll the large, cog-like door to the side. Once it was out of the way, he walked into the darkened lobby, towards the rear wall, and flipped on a small generator. A string of light flickered on the lobby, giving off a soft hum, and gave off a faint blue light, just enough to make out everything there. The disuse of the lobby could be recognized immediately. Dirt and dust seemed to cover most of it, the seats and tables and columns all showed that they had gone untouched for quite sometime. Dirt piled along the corners and lowers wall, where it had blown in the main door and collected. The only apparent "clean" area was a path that went directly from the door to a central column, and the freshly made footprints from Echo.
Outside, Zero picked up a few of his weapons off the tank and turned back to the obviously troubled Freyr, "I will return soon, if you need anything just ask Echo. And be sure to keep an eye on the kid." He checked the ammo rounds he had and then started walking in the direction of the portal. But he had only managed to take a few steps before realizing Freyr had changed. Something had to be going on for her to do this. "Looks like I'll be making my trip a little later. Echo! Need you front and center!" The mech soon reemerged from the tower and stopped next to Zero.
When Freyr fired at the ground at created the barrier, an odd occurrence had taken place with the machines. Several arcs of what appeared to be electricity passed over them, causing them to shudder and shake for a couple seconds. When it passed, the tanks seemed to have locked up, not even the sound of their generators could be heard, and Echo rocked uneasily on his feet, like someone trying to walk after having one too many drinks at the pub. But to Zero's surprise, a very familiar sound started to fill the air, starting as a whine and quieting into a low hum. Soon after, the tanks all began to raise up again, and Echo had regained his footing. From what Zero could guess, was that the barrier had eliminated all the dark energies in the immediate area, causing all the reactors in the machines next to it to reboot, an effect that would probably be temporary. He couldn't be certain until one of the tanks had turned towards him on its own, a glowing red lens showed on its turret, and it announced itself. "WARPATH TANK ONLINE. DESIGNATION: WP-OMEGA. REQUESTING ORDERS."
((Yay, long post. More explaining later. Now I have to let my brain bleed.))

(( *put Saka in one box and Zero in an other.* Sshhhh))
Freyr chuckled as the poor little mech's were confused. "Just goes to prove that magic can mess with anything." She changed back and bounded over to Zero. "Guess what! Something's coming. It's like a mini-Dusk. And it wants power. That holy field is a nice little defnece yes?"

((Do mechs normally fit in boxes?))
Echo stood straight again, rubbing the top of his head. "Running systems check...systems register normal. I haven't felt like in a while, almost like I'm new." He shook off the new feeling and started to check his weapons. The tank thundered at Zero again. "REQUESTING ORDERS." Zero walked right up to its glowing "eye" and spoke sternly. "Your orders are the same as issued a few minutes ago, defend the tower and guard the perimeter." The tank stood still for a moment before turning and returning to is previous position. Zero then walked over to the now furry Freyr, "So what is going on?"
