Ashe sat down on a nearby chair and stretched. "It is getting a bit chilly. Autumn's coming, we'll have a hard time traveling if we get caught out in the Winter. We should find some warmer clothing before we leave the city."
She looked back over at Sorrow and guessed at her thoughts. "Best way to go about it is try and talk to him. He's not to bad, for a demon..." She tilted her head and cast her eyes up to the ceiling. "He's lost...He's looking for his lost memories." She shrugged and looked back at Sorrow, "At least, that's what he said when we met."

[Rambling post, GO!]
----
Flint blinked a few times. He realized he had dozed off in the chair he was sitting in.
He watched the conversation between Ashe and Sorrow for a few minutes, then got up.
"Well, unless we have other plans, I have some other stuff to do." he said, stretching and walking upstairs.
He found his room and opened it. Inside, he tossed his new dagger/sword onto the bed and walked over to the small balcony.
He stood outside and waited for a bit, then went inside and pulled out the sword, going through a few techniques on an illusioned dummy he placed in front of him.

[Typing while listening to the Sephiroth theme. Perfect for this demon.]

Mike's eyes flashed open. The moon was high above him, his shadow showing quite well against the ground. As Mike lifted himself up, a breeze pulled him forward. He ran towards the edge of the roof, and right as the inside of his boot hit the edge, he leaped forward with all his might. He soared quite high into the air, his shadow casting a horrifying shape on the ground before he landed on another roof. He kept sprinting forward, leaping from house to house, making barely only a slight whipping noise as his cape whipped the air behind him. He rolled onto another building before running up to the ledge and flipping himself over into the alleyway below.

He braced himself against the wall and moved as quickly as he could. Due to his demonic nature and control over the element of darkness, he was easy to miss in the shadows, even in his mortal form. He easily slipped pass people and found himself occasionally going to a rooftop for more cover. His speed was blinding. His moves were graceful and stunning at the same time. And his stealth was nearly unmatched. He only had one close call. He had landed in a puddle, and while hanging from the roof above, a droplet dripped off his boot and landed on someone, causing them to look up. Mike was much faster though and had seen the droplet falling, instantly pulling himself on top of the roof, concealing himself from view.

As he leapt from roof to roof, his thoughts turned to the group he had joined. Lin was a nice young elven woman. She reminded Mike of his mother, or at least what he remembered about her. Ashe seemed to be more curious than the others, making Mike a little more careful around her. He was always waiting for her eyes to burn a hole in him as she observed him. Flint was...well, Mike couldn't really describe him. He seemed to be good with trickery and stealing, though seemed to be a good person. Although after meeting him and noticing his motions, Mike tended to keep his cash a little more secure.

And then there was Sorrow. A beautiful girl if Mike had ever seen one, though something about her pushed him away. She has the ability to use light, something that was very potent against demons. And being a fallen angel, she could easily send Mike back to the pit he had struggled to survive in. "I've always had a fear of demons, ever since I can remember I have been scared of them. I was taught to kill and fear them." Mike wasn't stupid, he knew she liked him as more than a traveling companion, but Mike wasn't even sure of himself. For all he knew, he could snap at any moment and end up destorying the whole town, including his new allies. Still though, Mike could only look for clues and listen for information at the moment.

He leaped with a breeze that carried him over a building onto another rooftop. There was a church just across the road, and Mike leaped over, landing on a ledge and holding on for dear life as he realized he was much higher than he had expected to be. He climbed up to the tallest ledge he could find on the spire and pearched there. He looked at his shadow as the wings stretched down the wall. He was too high for anyone below to tell if they were not looking for him intentionally, but he wondered if anyone would come looking for him.

[^^ all I can really say. Sorry if I'm not posting much, I got a real b***h of an IRL essay coming up...and I've got writers block across ALL my RPs, so don't feel singled out.
Oh, and my own personal RP died out, so I have to throw stuff at the people who are in it to get them to keep posting.]

[Warning! Long and somewhat graphic post ahead.]

Sorrow let out a short sigh and looked down at her lute, trying not to blush. She made a pouty look with her lips and then brushed her top lip against her pearly white teeth, her mouth returning to normal as well as the color of her face.

“His memories…” Sorrow began to drift off in deep thought.

I too have deeply repressed memories, some things I can’t remember. Some things I don’t want to remember. Some things I can’t remember for the life of me. Like what happened to those people and why Lin doesn’t seem to want to talk to me anymore. Her people were killed, but who did it? Was it me? Would I be capable of doing something so wicked and cruel like that? No I couldn’t. I just couldn’t. Every time I try to remember something from my past, I just hit this grey area or I pass out. Someone or something doesn’t want me to remember.

Sorrow looked up at Ashe, regaining her senses. She put her lute over her shoulder and stood up. She adjusted herself and looked a bit, feeling a little uneasy, as if someone was watching her. Started to walk up the steps to upstairs but stopped and looked back at Ashe.

“Thanks again Ashe.”

Sorrow slowly paced up the stairs, holding her arms shivering. She looked down the hallway and counted the number of rooms trying to remember which one Mike was in. She looked at her hands and started counting again on her fingers.

“This one!”

She slowly knocked on the door but it didn’t seem like he was in there. She pushed her head up against the door and listened in case she could hear him sleeping if he were in fact asleep. After snooping around the door for a little bit she figured he must have went outside. She walked back down the steps, trying her best not to brush her wings against the ceiling. She walked past everyone at the bar and stepped outside although she couldn’t brush off the feeling that someone was still watching her.

She started walking down the paved road looking around to see if she could spot Mike. She was looking all over, up down, left and right, and still couldn’t spot him. She heard something rumbling in the bushes but when she turned to look whatever it was disappeared. She started rubbing her hands together to gain a little bit of warmth. She tried to get her wings to cover her arms, but she still couldn’t figure out how to work them.

“Oh where could he be? Mike! Mike!”

It was really starting to get cold, Sorrow could see her own breath, and she was shaking slightly from the temperature. She looked up at the moon and wondered where on earth he could be. when just then someone stepped out from the shadows.

“Well, well, well. It has been quite some time, Sorrow.”

Sorrow looked in shock as the man before her was the one who had captured her before, it was indeed the crafty evil elf Contri Moyasu. She was petrified as to what might happen now that he had come back again. He only seemed to have this foreboding grin on his face, he was up to something but she was unaware of what evil plans he was crafting up this time.

“What do you want from me? Haven’t you hurt me and my friends enough as it is?”

“Oh I’m only beginning to hurt you Sorrow, or have you forgotten I sent you to kill off the entire Windshire Manor?”

Sorrow’s eyes grew wide and only a foul scream emerged from her mouth. She fell to her knees, reliving the full memory of her killing Lin’s people. Every sick detail flowed through her mind, like a faucet that was turned to full blast.

“You… you monster, you made me do that. You took over my mind. You sick b*****d! I’ll…”

Before Sorrow could even finish what she was saying he was already behind her holding her mouth with his hand. She bit deep into his fingers trying to break free from his clutches. She tried to elbow him off but he was already in front of her again, blood dripping from his fingers.

“Yes I did, and I have more tricks up my sleeve, but I’m not here for you today, I’m looking for someone else. Nero Angelo. Or you might call him Mike. Either way, you’re going to bring him to me.“

Before Sorrow could respond Shift had already appeared before her once again and punched her square across the face. She fell like a bag of sand and hit the ground quite hard, blood dripping from her nose. He shook his hand as if it had hurt him a bit more than it had hurt her.

“I don’t… know where he is..”

Sorrow could barely get the words out of her mouth as Shift had begun to kick her on the ground. She coughed and squirmed on the floor, trying to stand up, only to be knocked back down. She lifted her arm up as to try to fire off a blast of light from her hand, only for it to be stepped on and her wrist to be crunched by his boot. Tears were rushing down her face and she was crying hoping someone would come to her rescue.

“Come out Nero, I know you’re around here somewhere! You don’t want me beating up this helpless girl any more do you?!”

[Now, I don't usually ask this, but after kinda messing up the plot line in another RP over this...
Mind if I jump in and do the hero thing? I REALLY need something to do in this RP.]

[Cool. Seems strange but I actually managed to mess up an RP story line three times in a row doing that xd ]
-----
Flint continued to practice for a moment with the target dummy, before getting rid of it and putting the sword on the bed.
He walked into the bathroom, using a shallow basin filled with water to wash his face, drying it off with a towel when he heard some faint yelling outside.
He walked out to the balcony, looking down. Seeing no one in the streets, he assumed it was from a fairly rowdy bar somewhere.
Flint went back inside, laying on his bed and closing his eyes. A few minutes later, he opened them again.
It was dead quiet outside. If that yell had been from a rowdy bar, then there would have been more...
Then he heard another yell. This time it was a voice, clearly a voice.
He got up, walking to the balcony. When his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw a figure on the ground. And above that figure was another one, kicking it.
At this point, his secret, hidden hero drive kicked in. He grabbed the sword/dagger off the bed and dove out the balcony, landing with a thud, a shoulder roll, and a muffled yelp on the hard group.
Flint got up, dusted himself off, then ran into the street.
"Oi!" he shouted, twirling the sword once. "Leave that girl alone!" he said in response to the man's shout. Still behind him, Flint raised his sword.
At a diminuitive 4 feet, the sword didn't get much father than the middle of Contri's back.

[Guess I'll play reinforcements for a while. I'll catch up after the battle starts.]

As Mike sat on the spire he leaned back, taking in the view and scent in the air. It was so peaceful in this town. Mike didn't recall it from his memory, but it was now committed to it. He would always remember this town, as well as those who had brought him here. Tranquility was hard to find, not like the past Mike recalled. It was so peaceful, no wars or battles, everyone helping everyone else to achieve happiness. Mike hoped he could bring that back after he recalled his memories and settled his past.

That’s when Mike heard it. A scream from a young woman echoed through the town and into his ears. He recognized the voice instantly, "Sorrow!". Mike jumped up and looked over the edge. He was extremely high off the ground, so high that he would shatter his legs into fragments if he jumped to say the least. But Mike didn’t have time, he had to get there, no question at all. Mike turned towards the spire and bolted. He ran up it to the very top before back-flipping high into the air, somersaulting backwards toward the ground.

He was crazy. Something had made him lose all control. He would have never done something this dangerous, this reckless, this incredibly stupid for just some person.

But Sorrow wasn't just some person...at least not to him.

She was a fallen angel, she had done something to piss the big man in the sky off, and got the boot from cloud nine. But she didn't seem bad, she seemed sincere, considerate, something Mike hadn't seen since he was a mere mortal. She was special, and although she was a fallen angel, Mike would never call her that. To him, she was an angel, and he would guard her with his life if he had to.

Mike stopped spinning and was headed straight for the ground. He pulled a ball of flames into his arm and threw it at a section of open land, screaming "Raging Hellfire!!!" Flames erupted from the orb, slamming into the ground and causing the earth to shake. Mike was slowing down, but not enough to avoid pain. Instead, Mike pulled the flames back and shot them behind him, sending him flying forward. He used the momentum to roll when he hit the ground to avoid injury, and went from a roll to a run, moving faster than ever before. Even his roll was so fast, he looked like a ball that had erupted out of the flames. It would take him a few minutes to reach the spot he heard the scream come from, but that only encouraged him to run faster. He ran as fast as he could, the sound of a deep heartbeat echoing in his head quietly.

Contri saw something small and nimble out of the corner of his eye. He turned to move as a rather large blade came slashing down at his backside. He leapt out of the way just in time to almost miss the blade come down. He wasn’t moving extremely fast like he was before, his spell of haste had worn off. He lifted his hand to his back touching the skin that had been cut open, fortunately for him, it was only a minor slash. He pushed his finger up against the blood and put his fingers to his mouth, licking it off.

“Ah I remember you, the little thief. Nice blade, but I don’t think you can keep up with me.”

With his right arm he raised a black demonic staff into the air. A dark aura surrounded him, he called out to father time and a rather large blue clock appeared above him. The hands on the clock began to spin extremely fast, spinning faster and faster and then disappearing. Contri gave a smirk and then began to move faster than Flint could see. His movements were all a blur. He appeared behind Flint and aimed to kick him square in the back of the head.

“Flint look out!” Sorrow managed to utter.

"Oh. s**t." Flint said, hearing the voice.
He was in over his head this time. Figuratively and literally.
He watched as Contri started moving, and the clock appear.
"Aw, s**t!" he swore again. This was going to become a catchphrase for this...
Well, he wasn't going to call it a battle because he felt it would be rather one sided.
He watched his movements carefully, trying to determine something.
He noticed him run behind him, but Flint was a little too slow to turn. He DID hear the air movement of the kick, and ducked to the side.
Again, a little too slowly.
The foot clipped him on the side of the head with a good amount of force. He was thrown down, right next to Sorrow.
"Oh, it's you." he said. "I wondered how you knew my name." he added, getting up.
He turned to Contri.
"Alright then. Magic you want? Magic you'll get." he said simply, holding out his left hand. Inside a ball of swirling energy appeared, a blend of purple, blue, and white. He knew two things about this.
1, he wouldn't be able to hit Contri with it if he threw it, so he had to wait until he got closer.
2, this wouldn't kill Contri, but should do some type of damage.

[ Basically Sorrow and Mike talked for a bit, Sorrow apologized to Mike. Then Mike started leaping from roof to roof. Ashe told Sorrow she should tell Mike how she feels about him so she went looking for him. While she was out looking for Mike Contri showed up and started beating the crap out of Sorrow looking for Mike. Flint showed up and the two of them started to fight each other while Mike is trying to catch up to where they are fighting at.

Hope that helps, I'll have a new post up sometime tomorrow I'm tired. ]

(Yep it helps, thanks.)

Everything over the past few days or weeks were a complete blurr to Lin. She wasn't quite sure why she was so out of it lately, and wondered if it was how she was dealing with her destroyed home village. She walked out of the inn they had been staying at and began to walk through the empty streets. They still hadn't managed to get to talk with the human king because she just didn't seem to remember half the time, or she was rattling her brain for how to approach the human king about the enemy which was all of theirs.
"Why is everything so complicated."
She muttered.
