"Yeah, do you know where it is?" Link asked. Normally, he wouldn't expect much from Gus in the way of folklore, but he figured, maybe now that he was a sage, he may be more honed to his surroundings.

"Hm... in... the back of the.... village..." Gus said, concentrating, "That way." He flew in a eastward direction, and bobbled up and down, waiting for them to follow.

Link began to chase after the fairy as it weaved through the village. All the while, the Kokiri stared. Their childish faces plaster with the confusion that comes only with recognition, or the surprise of seeing someone new, "How much farther."

"Not much..." Gus said, and soon, they were infront of a large tree... it seemed to be secluded in its spot, and seemed... divine...

In the opening, two trees lay in front of Link. The first was tall and full of life, skinny as it may be, but still, it might as well be a sapling compared to the one rooted behind it. It seemed almost large enough to contain an entire temple within it's self, but unlike the first, it was clear that this tree had been long dead, "Please Great Deku Tree, please tell us the way to Forest Temple."

The Deku Tree looked somewhat surprised by their arrival, but he looked like the sort of tree to oblidge. If such could be said for trees. "Well, that's not altogether too easy. You see, the Forest Temple is hidden within the Lost Woods." The tree's voice was somewhat slow and ponderous, but it seemed willing to help. Obviously it sensed something of the true nature of its guests, as it too knew of Saria. "If you need a guide, you would do well to consult with Moria. She frequents the grounds of the temple; she can guide you to its door."

"Where can we find this, Moira," Link asked once again, trying his best to be polite, after all, who knows what a talking tree could be capable of.

"Thank you very much," Link bowed to the tree and then without a word turned around, indicating to the others to follow. The next teminuutes, the group wandered through the village before finally spotting a house that seemed to match the description. 'Here goes nothin'" he thought as he began to climb the ladder.

On the balcony of the tree sat a fourteen year old girl, apparently the one the Great Deku Tree had advised upon. She eyed the newcomers with suspicion. "I haven't seen you around here before," she stated simply, shifting slightly on the log she was sitting on.
((No, she doesn't remember Saria or Link of any form; she's a comparatively young Kokiri, albeit one who looks old.))

"What for?" Moria responded cautiously, leaning against her house and glaring at them suspiciously. "Last time I checked, it wasn't very safe to be around there. I nearly got killed."
