Let me start by saying this about the election in general, as a human being, not as a member of this little guild in the sea of so many pixels: New government is setting up. Plain and simple. You, as a member of the populi are not incapable of leaving or altering your government... That said, I will also establish this.
I was a member going on for maybe two or three months. I was before the election because my friend invited me, but I never had the time to play the actual game. Lately... I have been seeing a lot of chatter, whining, bitching, complaining and attacks on your fellow Guild-Mates. If you people are like this in a state of alleged "civility" then I don't even want to know what your "dignified" faces look like.
To address something on mine and DG's defense to silence you and your talk of cheating, you ******** hypocritical tyrant; as mentioned prior I have been here. I haven't played. I was kicked out because maybe someone thought I was a Paid Vote. But clearly, if you look at my records ((Or if it had been possible)) you'd of seen I was here. My vote, was never cast, my vote was now cast. If anything, I am owed an additional vote but I will not b***h about this seeing as it no longer serves any purpose. I joined the guild, because DG is my friend. We were Brotherhood and sure, I was no good at that style of roleplaying but he was still a friend of mine.
To the people I see talking about DG like he's done something so titanically wrong, he really hasn't so far. And frankly I don't care if you tell me in PM or here that I am wrong. Or if you tell me to "Tits or Gtfo". So far, He's the only one that's been proving good points in leadership. Holding himself accountable, admitting his faults and even trying to stand against the prior reign of a government ALL show good insight into a leader under troubled times. I see this one guy... Superstition or whatever his name is, bitching about what he's apparently done and the tantrums he has thrown. Well look at you buckaroo! You win a first place seat on the USS Pardon-me-I-suck-c**k for being such a hypocritical a**-hat that you guys still haven't resolved your issues yet.
...I don't like, what you people are doing for Cyber-Diplomacy; especially, in light of the evidence, that one girl who recruited specifically for the Bump-up in her voting status. She should actually be removed because that's as sleazy a trick as sending orphans you wounded yourself to collect Begging money from them...
And all aside from what I've said here's my position: To the prior government, get the ******** over it. Governments pass. It's what they do. Accept the fact someone legitimately is trying to have some kind of order in the thread and move on, or just move on. I mean, I don't know if you're the founder. If you are? Good, you built a great roleplay and you can do it again. But if you can't? Shut up, sit down and roll with the tides of change.
Right now, the guild needs a leader. Not a pompous a** creating elections to suit the passing fancy of a "Worded Tyrant". So if I haven't made my point redundantly clear yet here is what needs to happen:
BUILD YOUR DAMN HIERARCHY.

Dylan, Taka, and any other brothers and sisters out there. (Or any other people that are here on my accord or know me enough to listen to me.) Leave it as it is. I have full faith in the system to see the winning candidate given the captainship. Let it ride out. We don't need to add to the drama.

Takayuki Mazogawa Ferregar, I'm not sure if my word will help any, but in DG's defence, what he said about me is true. I haven't been on gaia in about a year and on my first day back, he said "Hey, if you interested in getting back to roleplaying, you should check out this guild." After I read the description, I loved it. The way the world was described reminded me of Gods and Goddesses from Greek and Roman periods, which I adore, and the fact that you could be a race other than human had me hooked. I liked the guild, so I sent a request to join. There was no "Hey Taka, join this guild and vote for me." I thought it was going to be a good guild, and while checking out the threads I saw the voting thread. I've been a part of two guilds with DG, one where he was just a crew member and the other he lead himself. I KNOW DG is a good leader, which is why I voted for him. Not because simply because I know him. I've seen his capabilities and he is a great leader. It doesn't seem fair to me that he's being scolded for accpeting the request of a friend that wants to get back into roleplaying after a year long absence. Taka, this isn't an attack on DG's credibility or his ability to lead. In normal circumstances I'd be happy to see this swell of new members, yourself included as you're making big strides to be active but the issue here is that no one was to be invited into the Guild until the Election was over for the very reason that it would cause outside interference and influence inside the guild. You should not have been accepted into the Guild until tonight at the absolute earliest, after Captain had been announced. Now, we have anywhere between 6 - 11 new members that have been invited since Nominations went underway. Votes have been contributed that did not belong to any of the current guild members. Recruitment, referral... it's great and good, but not during these proceedings. It was explicitly stated. I wasn't against him being Captain after I got to better know him and reviewed his Q+A. The issue here is that the Election itself has been compromised, the people responsible are unwilling to step forward, Jacklyn was Advertising during the Election (which would have been fine if the members requesting to join were not being auto-accepted) and you were referred, which would have been fine if you being accepted would simply have waited. With all Crew as members, no one can prove or otherwise disprove what's happened here. Moderator Panel does not monitor who accepts the requests, and the Election becomes compromised on the grounds that the the rules were broken and there is no ability to find those responsible. The first time I backed down from doing what was right in this Election started this whole mess. I should have ordered all Crew nominees to step down, but now we are in this situation. I'm not going to make that compromise again.

The issue here is that the people who sent in join requests were NOT supposed to be accepted into the guild at all, on any grounds, until the end of the poll. Yet here they are. I didn't make this Election for my amusement, or to wear anyone down, or anything that acts against this guild. I love Rykros. I would sincerely appreciate if that accusation was not made. And please lay off Jackie. She may not be a perfect leader but she is NOT a tyrant. Neither was Neko. Don't throw that word around. We've been blessed enough that no one who's headed this guild has been truly tyrannical. She may have enacted a couple of processes without consult of other members (spring cleaning, for one), but that does not make her a tyrant. Someone had to step up to the plate, Beth was not particularly active and the rest of crew was occupied with pointing fingers and in fighting. SHE IS A GOOD PERSON. That may not make her the best choice for Captain, but at the very least do lay off her reputation. She always held Rykros' interests in mind, and only acted as Standing Captain when she did at our Founder's request. Stop dragging her through the mud. Stop dragging DG through the mud. This isn't about any of that anymore. The rules were broken; the election was compromised. Both Jackie and DG benefited from the chaos, whether intentionally or not.

This guild is getting a captain. It will be Jackie or myself as per the vote count. If not, then the entire voting process would be pointless and a waste of time. Additionally, if I win again, this will be the second election I have won. Making me that much more pissed off that I got ripped out of the position.
You say htere was 11 joined people. Which, I can partially hold myself accountable for. Some of the old invites I had sent out weeks ago were still being accepted. People were asking me questions before accepting, etc.
I accepted a total of 2 join requests in the past 12 days. Someone else accepted the rest. As I aid before, take 2 off of mine, 3 off of Jackies, and you'll have the math down for the last few to join. I've been watching the election numbers like a hawk.

But here's where apparently you have to ask yourself the better question. The entire election has been compromised. I get that because of a few added fingers in a sticky pot... But right now, s**t is in a "Tooth & Nail Status". Civility is a difficult luxury to truly be equipped for. And right now, despite those sticky fingers, they have hands to raise and tallies to collect on behalf of the guild...
I don't know you, you don't know me. And I hate for my real first step of insight and interest into the guild having to be one of scorn and odium but I cannot tolerate such insanity in light of such a lofty section of the world... I do admit, the creditability of the candidates seem a bit... Washy. But I have seen plenty of this crap in my 6 years on Gaia... At least, at your first layer, you appear to be for the greater good. This shows not ALL hope is to be lost to such despicably awful politics such as buying votes and reelecting under auspicious votes...
I will say this in relative nature to the situation. I will stand by GD because I know him. And if the ENTIRE series of events prior to this discussion have lead to a complete waste of time, or as seen only by you, I say let the election carry on uninterrupted. If everything is nary in squander and waste, and we are to roll around in the mud like the filthy worms we are, then hold a new election... I feel, that if such acts within a community cannot be decided fairly, then you are all at fault for not being a stronger community to begin with.
I cast my secondary vote, to keep the election running according to plan.
