I mean seriously, most of these popular characters are orphans anyway! Wouldn't it be sweet of them to give some poor child a family instead of getting pregnant in the butt and adding another kid to a vastlly overpopulated world?! YAOI FANGIRLS HATE LIFE. Miri = <3

There is a very large difference between a "Yaoi fan" and a "Yaoi fangirl".
Us in the anti-yaoi community use the term fangirl/fanboy/fanbrats to refer to the senseless yaoi-crazy ones. Good, sensible yaoi fans are just called "yaoi fans".

I dispise yaoi for many reasons, but mostly because fangirls tend to take over an anime series and saturate it with yaoi-related media, while bashing straight pairings and insulting het fans. I'm perfectly okay with cannon yaoi (where the author specifically says that a character is gay/bi), though I don't enjoy looking at it. I also think that yaoi is derogatory to real gay men.
"saturate" is my favorite word this week.

And het fans turn around and insult and bash slash couples right back. You cannot call higher ground and then turn around and bash those fans you say you aren't bashing somewhere where they cannot see it. Its hypocritical and rude.
To say all yaoi fangirls take over and anime and corrupt with with the yaoi related media is very rude to many yaoi fangirls that do no such thing. I happen to be a yaoi fangirl. Lets take FFVII. I love Zax/Cloud, I will admit it. But I'm a staunch Cloud/Tifa and Zax/Aerith supporter.
Not enjoying it is one thing, but having to get drunk because you saw two men having sex is a completely different story. So I ask you, who is taking it to the extreme?
