Hey, only two hours? xd
I've got a sneaking suspicion I need to get mine worked on... I uh... well, it's a laptop, and I... I dropped it a couple weeks ago.
The slots on the side don't register when anything's in them, which... well, I'm completely clueless on what to do about that.
'Course, I have no car, and Fry's isn't really in biking distance, so I need the boy to take me one of these days... which he's known for two weeks...
[/that train of thought] I'm just pissy about that right now, I think. I gotta be fair, the man gets to work at six in the morning, works ten hour days, and last night also had rehearsal until ten at night. Then got up at oh-dark-thirty again this morning. :/
What ended up being wrong with yours, anyway?

I have a sad little 128 RAM comp. So the memory gets tapped out pretty quickly and sites like Gaia that have lots of graphics overload it. So first I cleared my cache, then I uninstalled a bunch of programs that were just taking up space (several of which required restarting my comp. xp ) then I did a disk clean and disk defrag. So, now its working pretty good (For about a month or so, until everyting gets clogged up again. rolleyes )

*pets* My RAM's from the same litter, apparently... Pentium III, 696 MHz (I'm not the ubergeek, I just went to check!)... I've got 20 gigs, though... well. I've got about 4.8 of them free...
Heh. You should see the alert messages I get when I try to run something like Photoshop while I'm listening to iTunes!
I've been wanting to get some more RAM for awhile, but I've never worked on a laptop before -- and the guy who built this for me has moved up north and turns into Super Emo Boi when anyone asks him about computers. Even my "hey, is it tricky to put more memory or anything in this comp, or d'you think I can manage it?" at the tail end of a long e-mail never got a response.
... it just occurred to me that every current frustration I'm grinding my teeth over can be attributed to men... that's odd, usually my mother's right up there at the top of the list!
Imagine how much I'd be babbling if I were drinking.
Anyway, I'll get myself more ram if you'll get some, too! ^^;

I haven't had enough money for more RAM. But, hopefully soon we're going to get Comcast Interent, and if we buy the modem from Best Buy, we get a gift card that we can use to get more RAM. Two birds with one stone. biggrin

Ooh, excellent...
Yes, cable's a marvelous thing. I've got Adelphia here -- three roommates, so the cost's less than if we each had our own phone line for dial-up, y'know?

That's cool. I'm currently stuck with the dreaded AOL xp But, hopefully in a month or so, we'll have the money for Comcast. (of course we've been saying that for two months now. Every time we get the money...we need it for other stuff sad )

*hisses* I hates AOHell from the bottom of my liver, I does.
My parents had it for years, and when I moved out... well, I wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway. But that adds to my hatred... you can get DSL for the price of dial-up AOL. And all the "benefits" that AOL supposedly has were things that I hated. Slowed everything down. And talk about a monster of a program!

Yeah. AOL is the suckage. Hopefully, we won't have it for much longer.
Well, its 5am here. I guess I should head off to bed. Night Faolan.

... I've done my Gaian civic duty, cleaned up the towns like crazy (albeit to gather cat bands and spiky hats to sell), but other than that, I almost feel sane. ^^
And I love the thought of not having to work on Monday!
What's happening on your end of the continent?
