I need a vacation from my vacation. Dealing with family is stressful and after xmas I have a bajillion art homework assignments to do. I never would have guessed that the class I get the most homework in would be art. But other than that I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning and its goodies. Happy Christmahannakwanzakah!!!!

Alright, I'm just gonna go ahead and say this.
If you celebrate Christmas, say Merry Christmas.
If you celebrate Hanukkah, say Happy Hanukkah.
If you celebrate Kwanzaa, Happy Kwanzaa.
None of this Happy Holidays-Bonafide-Bull-Crap. You say whatever applies to you and that is your universal greeting.

And I work at a resturant. You gotta be careful what you say so you don't "offend" anyone, cuz that means fewer tips, and after all this last-minute shopping, I need the monies.
At least new years is pretty much universal. Exept Chinese New Years. How come they get their own day to celebrate?

Don't know. WHY THE HECK IS THIS THREAD SO FAR DOWN!? AAAAAAH! As for people being nice to the customers, I was at borders the other day and I was near the cafe part of it and was sitting next to an exit door that only the employees use. WELL, they had it wide open while waiting for someone to bring in a cart and they had it like that for a while. Well, I was sitting with a girl-friend of mine and I was being considerate in case she was cold and said, "You know, it's kind of cold when you got the door open like that." The guy comes back with, "What are you, a woman? Grow some hair on your chest!" I didn't know what to say to something like that! He finishes with, "Be man and stop whining." I mean, seriously, who the heck does that to a paying customer?! It's the point of your job is to make the customer happy so he/she comes back and does not complain! I'm tempted to go back and say something that he won't like just to see what he says and then get his a** fired. I mean, DAMN, that was obnoxious!

*casts resurrection spell on thread*
Yeah, every place has its bad apples. I try to be one of the nice ones though. I mean, just cuz I may be having a bad day, doesn't mean I should ruin it for every person that walks in the door.

Exactly! That's what they call 'service-mind' mrgreen I've been spoonfed it since I was small, to be nice and helpful to customers. Dunno if that's what I'm gonna work with but I suppose it doesn't hurt to know it rolleyes
