"Well, the thing i-"Mike slammed into the side of a sign, reading "Name Rater".
"Ow...HEY! The Name Rater's house!" Mike said with excitement as he ran in.
The inside was a quant little house with only one room "Where does he sleep?"
"Greetings, I'm the Name Rater, I help trainers find suiting names for their dear Pokemon." cheerfully said the Name Rater. "Which Pokemon would you like to name?"
"I'd like to name my Charmander, I have a few names in my head: Kerosine, Blaze, Slash, Nitro Ty-"
"What was that last one?" innterupted the Name Rater.
"Nitro?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, that one, it fits perfectly! It's a very suiting nickname."
"What do you think Charman-Nitro?" Mike asked, hoping for a good response.
"Char char!" chirped Nitro, very pleased with his new name.

She didn't figure the walk would be too far to Celadon, the foot path looked rather well traveled. She remembered something about there being a Casino in Celadon, and decided to remain in Lavender for the time being. She sighed, feeling bored yet not wanting to do anything, and headed back towards the center of town.

Nina had taken refuge in the Pokemon Center after leaving the tower, and laid on a bed, staring at the ceiling. She had contemplated leaving a few times, but shook off the thought. "No,"she said to herself, "I can wait for them. It's not as if I'm going anywhere since I don't know where Sabrina is..." Her voice trailed off and she looked aside.

Jenna woke up with a deep feeling of excitement within her. Today was the day she and her Clefairy, Belle, would be headed out into the world on their first pokemon adventure. Rising from her bed in a small home in Lavender Town, she quickly ate breakfast, brushed her hair and teeth and tidied up, not wanting to leave a mess for when her mother and father woke. She tied back her long mane of brown hair in a club at the nape of her neck and polished her glasses one last time before grabbing her pack, straw hat and walking stick by the front door. Looking around one last time and trying to keep the lump in her throat from choking her, she walked out the front door....
A few seconds later, the front door burst back open and Jenna bounded inside. "I forgot my pokeball!" she gasped to herself as she went over to the shelf by her bed and retrieved Belle, still asleep inside the pokeball. Shaking her head and trying not to laugh too much at herself, she again turned and left her home.
A note left on the kitchen table:
"Dear Mom and Dad, We've talked about this day for so long now, I can't believe its' finally here! I'm headed early this morning for a brief visit to the Pokemon Tower, then on the road. I'm not sure where I'm headed, but I'll let you know when I get there that I'm alright. I hope you're not mad that I let you sleep, I just didn't want a big goodbye or lots of tears. ((the page here is smudged as if from water)) Take good care of each other! I'll be home before you know it! Lots of Love, Jenna"

Nina continually tossed and turned on the bed, trying to make up her mind of whether or not she wanted to stay or leave.
"Nina, Misdreavus said, calm down. I'm sure that your friends will be back soon; it's not as though they left without you."
"How do you know that?" Nina asked, a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"Because, your friends are very kind people. They wouldn't abandon you."

Jenna headed towards the Pokemon Tower, keeping her eyes peeled for any other trainers in town visiting or shopping. Not seeing any so early in the morning, she headed into the cool darkness of the Pokemon Tower and then up to the top floor. She paid her respects to several Pokemon, lighting incense and saying a brief prayer for each, and said goodbye to her favorite mentor. Finished her business, she headed back outside into the sun.

Sitting up and putting her feet on the floor, Nina let out a deep sigh. "I wish that they would hurry up," Nina said. She was particularly antsy, and felt as though she needed to wander around, but she wasn't sure where she'd go to.

Once again out in the sun, Jenna spotted another girl out on the street. Afraid to ask, but needing to ask, Jenna approached, her walking stick making a tap tap tap on the street. "Excuse me, but do you know the way to Viridian City? Or Cinnabar Island? Or any town where there's a Pokemon Gym?" she smiled wryly.

Upon leaving the train cart, Saul noticed that the station was unusually crowded; he was just barely able to get out after recalling eevee into a pokeball. Not seeing any other possible solution to his living crisis, Saul headed to the pokemon center, only to be told that others have tried the same thing and that the maximum capacity had been reached. People of all sizes and ethnicities lined the streets; soup kitchens took the rest of the remaining space. "Not a good time to be a tourist, huh eevee?" he said looking at the miniaturizes pokeball in his right hand. As he surveyed the situation, Saul noticed two strangely familiar trainers arguing about something near the casino; one was a overly muscular man in a gi, the other a tall girl with long jet black hair. but being out of earshot and not knowing who the two were, he payed it no heed. He decided to walk to the outskirts of the city and see if any of this bizzar human activity effected the wild pokemon.

((Rats! I missed you, Jen! Sorry! sad )) After much deep thought, Kasiya returned to the Pokemon Center, feeling slightly guilty for leaving Nina in such a cold manner. She hoped that she'd be there at the PC, even though she wasn't quite sure what she'd say to her yet. She also knew she owed Pikachu and Vaporeon an apology for shouting at them earlier, but she was certain they'd understand. Nina, on the other hand, she wasn't quite sure about. She stepped through the glass sliding doors, looking around for pretty much any of her friends. Mitsu, Ken, Mike, Nina. It would even be nice to see Bryn or Ren again. She sighed, and approached the counter to speak with Nurse Joy.

When Saul reached the field his heart sank and his body froze. Oddish ,vulpix, and houndours were walking about, somewhat dazed; these were nocturnal pokemon, and it was noon. The image only got worse the closer he went to the field; there were sandshrews and mankeys here, fighting for territory. Their conflict already caused casualties, the smell and motionless bodies being picked at by the night prowlers was proof enough; but why were they here? What could possibly drive out this many pokemon from their natural habitats? "Dear lord, what the hell is happening?"
((From earlier posts, i figure Giovanni's back)) (sorry for the dark turn, but it might just work.)

"I haven't seen your other friends recently," Nurse Joy told her, carrying an armload of books and file folders, "but I believe Nina may be resting in one of our rooms." Looking fairly harassed, Joy went out of the room, the heavy books teetering as she walked.
"I don't want to disturb her," Kasiya said quietly, looking around the empty Pokemon Center. It seemed that Lavender Town was rather lacking in the tourist department, dispite the Pokemon Tower as its main attraction. She reached over for the notepad and wrote out a letter.
Dear Nina, I'm sorry I ran out on you earlier, I wasn't much feeling like company after visiting Manny. I'm feeling much better after my walk, although you were sleeping when I came back. I've decided to make a name for myself and start the Kanto Region Gym challenge. If you're wondering, I've headed for Pewter City to challenge the leader Brock. If you'd like, maybe you can meet up with me later. I'm also hoping to get a good view of Mount Moon, so if I'm not in town, I'm probably somewhere along Route 3. Thanks for being such a good friend. Your friend, Kassie P.S. Give Misdreavus and Marill a hug for me!
Kasiya reread her note quickly, and quickly left the Pokemon Center. She glanced down at her watch, noting she had just over an hour before the train would arrive. She thought a moment, then with her teeth grit, she turned and went straight for Route 8 instead.
