I haven't posted here in awhile but I just wanted to let everyone know that my son is going in for testing next month...I found a local place *East Tennessee* that is called the Special Learning Center...they do free testing for learning disorders on the first and third Tuesdays of the month...they also offer a special Kindergarten for kids who are not able to be in a regualr Kindergarten...so far this place is looking pretty nice...and the free testing is a mega bonus since my ex-husband has yet to switch my sons insurance back over to Tennessee...I'll update again once we know something...

man, if they only had one of these where i live heart

how did you find it?

my mother works with a bunch of sweet women who absolutely love my son...one of the women has a son who went to the school and passed on the info to my mom about the testing and what not...

hun all i can say is good luck eric is 3 yrs and 3 months and we've been trying since he was about a year and a half...we've tried EVERYTHING! books, videos, stickers , rewards so all i can say is good luck a friend of mine said the only way she got her kiddo trained was to put him on there every hour mins for like 20 minutes so its like on potty 20 minutes off potty 20 mins ...which she says worked after a weekend ,,or you can take a weekend and basically have the kid live on the potty (have him/her on the all waking hours) it seems brutal but some say it works. Good luck

Hello,

I have 2 sons.

My oldest is 12. He is diagnosed with ADHD He is now going into 7th grade and does rather well now schoolastically.

My youngest is 10 and is diagnosed with Mild Autism/ high functioning autism. he was not diagnosed until he was three. Before that he had a diagnosis of developmental delay. He is now in a regular classroom in school. He has an IEP(individual education plan. He also, last year, had a 1:1 aid who made sure he did everything he needed to do, and to scribe for him. He still in 5th grade writes like he is a kindergartener. He tries so hard.

My husband does not believe that Michael has any disability. I just don't discipline him right. Well, I've got news for him.

We have had another blow out with my middle son. It got nasty and he is in hospital. It looks like we are looking at a residential facility for him. It is a Multi modal treatment facility. They can muck around with his meds and there is a family therapy componant as well. I am afraid he is gonna be furious. He wants to come home and for this to have not happened, but I just cannot have the violence in the home.

It also will taylor his educational plan to his LD needs, that will likely take a great deal of pressure off him scholastically and give him a chance to shine academically. I hope so anyhow!

If not this will be the worst decision of my life and will destroy him him!!

God I am hoping that all will work out right! I am so scared! Have any of you had your child of Strattera?

I'm good, just having a massive painful period at the moment. Which is a first for me. Family is doing good, and I start college soon and then I will get driving lessons and such! Whoo.
