darkerdreams Kalie nodded, her hand idly stroking across Tor's vacant one. Her attention never straying, no matter how slim the the chance of the little pyro mage waking. "I'll let you know, if there is anything..." OoC: You might have to throw an intervention for him Darker. ^_^ I haven't been able to drag him away from C&C Generals without direct physical contact in a week.

IV left her there, somewhat reluctantly, wishing he could at least do something to help, not for him, but for her. He always was a softie for the ladies, even when he had been alive, though that was one reason he was killed...3 times over. As he left the house behind him he paused and glanced back. He broke into a run and in moments he was hidden in the shadows of the Palace, pinned up high and seeking meditation. Torment, meanwhile, was still healing, body and soul. The pint sized trident that held his soul wasn't in the best of shape, but it appeared perfectly fine. Several magical enchantments upon it had shorted out, as it were. As for his body, the healing process seemed to be speeding up, warmth coursing through his body at increased levels as his soul was closer to his body.

Kicking her shoes off, Kalie moved her lower body onto the bed. The light warmth of her fingertips drifting across Torment's brow as she laid down beside him. Her eyes falling shut just as her cheek came to rest on his shoulder, having lost the battle against her tired body.

~~The Next Day~~
Torment's body seemed to shift slightly as light began to wash over the house from the rising of the first sun. Moments later, it happened again. The trident faded from view as a low rumbling started up outside. The Titans were attempting to lift the Palace back up to it's celestial seat high in the heavens, and the ground beneath it was crumbling, along with the towers.

Stirring briefly Kalie's arm fell across Torment's chest, clearly unphased by the small quakes that erupted from the earth falling beneath the rolling grasses of plains. Pulled into herself by the promise of sleep, her lashes did little more then flutter through the crumbling of the place's supports. It was a wonder that the plains and house still held after the insatiable flames that swept across it, only just before the well of souls was given birth by Mind Blaze's expenditures.. and now this.

IV had pinned himself to the underside of the Palace once again and had been long shaken from his meditations, and he wasn't very happy about it. With a spray of black blood a rather long bone shard needle extended out from his palm and anchored itself in the rock at the bottom of the Palace. With a powerful tug he launched himself up into the air. There was no way he was getting all that high up with his weight, which is why he caught the bone shard needle and began a quickened climb, small rungs appearing when needed.
After a few minutes he had reached the underside once more and had begun burrowing into the rock, not bothering to go around the long way, no matter how easy it would be.

As the palace broke off, and lifted itself into the clouds becoming reminiscent of a fairy tale, the room began to flood with the Elite suns. Kalie's face in turn scrunching up as the light became more prevalent, and proved to lighten Vince's room. Rolling onto her side, the inner blues of her eyes came to life, her elbow falling low to prop herself up. Running her fingers through the impish forest of spikes crowning Torment's head, she sighed in relief.. he was beginning to look better.

It would be an understatement to say she was only slightly surprised when a dirt covered dead guy popped up from the ground at her feet while she was using the facilities. With his expert navigation skills in a place he'd never been before IV had been able to find the ladies room in one of the buildings near the palace. It would also be an understatement to say when it was over, IV hurt like a b***h, but its to be expected when your skull is crushed. After she stomped his skull and ran off, IV pulled himself from the ground and found his way to the sinks to view the damage in the mirror.
He looked fine...until he turned his head. He had a face and that was about it. He blinked for a moment and an eye fell out backwards. He blinked a few more times, one eyelid just kinda flapping there. He let out a sigh as he poked at the itty bitty pieces and goo, kinda wondering why he wasn't dead yet. Bleeding to death was obviously out due to lack of blood, but the whole brain being squished thing was a new thing to survive through. He thought for a moment and pulled out a small book, recording this rather messy event. He conjured up a necromatic black healing spell designed for undead repair, and poked at his head as it slowly began reforming. He didn't mind it, it just reminded him he needed to eat again.
The Palace itself had risen off of its supports and had entered the clouds, but was nowhere near its original height, and wasn't the most stable, especially with a new hole in it's belly. The process of staying aloft wasn't helped along much by the rampaging dead guy either. He really needed counseling, the whole undead thing with sentient thought really wasn't working out too well.
Within the now brightened room Torment seemed to shift as if the light bothered him, no longer a dormant slap of flesh and bones, just sleeping deeply. Some of his less critical wounds seemed to close within moments, the scar on the underside of his jaw fading from sight. He wouldn't awake anytime soon, and that was a fact. If his eyes were open it could be seen that they were a dull grey, the very edges lined in a flaming red.

Rolling back over she stretched lazily under the cover of golden rays, the depths of Kalie's eyes glimmering with flecks of gold as her arms twisted and flexed above her head. Sitting back up, she cast a glance at Torment. Her fingertips falling short of his jaw, as her digits became nestled against her inner thigh.
Crawling off the bed, Kalie shifted the covers over the side still warm from her nap, her steps taking her farther from Tor as she moved about the room. Little oddities becoming straightened as she passed over them to eventually retrace her steps back to the mage's side.
"Morning love..."
As the words passed her lips, a warm breeze tickled his cheek from the mess of black strands falling past Kalie's chin. One last look following after the gentle caress before she would turn and walk off towards the stairs... positive Torment stood little chance of rousing from his 'sleep'.

As she left the room Torment began his ascent from the deapths of his slumber, quickly returning to the world of the waking, returning to the world of the living. This would be the day the Pheonix would rise again. Small embers began to rise from the carpet, wisps of flame dieing in the air after a brief lived life. The bed below Torment began to smolder ever so slightly as the area near his shoulders began to heat up, singing the sheets like an iron.
Shrouded by distance and mountains Titans were dying in droves as flames took their bodies and molten rock in the form of lava consumed their bodies.

With the sunlight as her guide, Kalie wove in and out of halls and secluded rooms. The dazzling patches leading her to the northern most windows within their home, the picturesque view of waves rolling in the distance capturing her attention immediately.

The embers died out and the smoldering slowly fizzled out as Torment began to lapse back into his comatose state.

As if the room Torment was in had been filled with a flammable gas the entire room was consumed with flames for a brief instant, spilling out into the hallway. As the flames retreated from the hallway a rather drowsy looking man covered in bandages slowly stumbled forward much like a stereotyical person that is sleep walking. He passes out of sight from the doorway, wandering in an opposite direction from where Kalie currently was.
