Marc_Spector Jo Nah Went out to see The Last Mimsy the other night. It was a pleasent diversion. how is it? I'm marginally attracted to the premise of the movie, but am still undecided as to whether I want to see it. after all, movie tickets in nyc range anywhere from 10-13 dollars. It was a good little movie, but nothing to go running to the theaters over. I'd say it's a rental, but a highly recommended one. I played hooky yesterday and watched 300. Enjoyed it quite a bit. The Mimsy movie gave me a bit of peace away from the turmoil of things and let me clear my cobwebs. 300 has put me into the mood to continue on with things. I feel much better now.

I finally watched Happy Feet for the first time last night. Not only did I SQUEE everytime I heard Hugh Jackman heart sing, but I loved that he did it with a Southern accent to Elvis Presley songs. SUPER SQUEE.
So tell me why WHY WHY no decided to tell me that it was Fern Gully with penguins?
I would have made more of an effort to see it in theatres if I knew! I freakin' LOVE Fern Gully!
And the irony that it took a dancing penguin to get the enviromental message across was not lost on me. At all.

To all Wii owners: get Super Paper Mario now.
I mean it. It's one of the funniest, most original games I've played in a long time. It's just the right blend of rpg-lite and side scroller. What's more, the story isn't throw away. I find it to be pretty entertaining. And the controls are unique and amusing.
So really, go get it and have fun!
