Lina felt her hands tightening around her own daggers as she watched this, "He wouldn't do such a thing. You must trust us unless you want to get hurt." she said calmly before turning and moving left into a lighted alley with out another word.

Rikku bolted as fast as she could after them and threw one of her knives at Remus then at Lina

Lina heard the whitle of the blade hurtling towards them and moved aside, knowing that Remus could take care of his own. The confusion Lina could easily understand, but when Rikku decided to attack her men and herself...Lina growled, her daggers out and ready as she turned to face her, "Rikku, you are trying my patience!" she said icily.

Remus rolled to the left as Lina moved. He drew out his own sword and prepared himself. He didn't want to get caught in the middle unless he had to so he stayed back a little ways. "Would you at least do me the pleasure of telling me what it is I 'stole'?"

Rikku slightly averted her gaze from Lina to look at Remus "a red opal, its been in my family for generations and in the wrong hands could kill thousands. It gives the bearer more strength, flexibility, and speed, and no it doesnt make you immortal or all powerful, but its dangerous none the less."

Lina watched this carefully, distancing herself from the two just far enough to be of any assisstance if needed, "Make this quick..."

"Where is it if you dont have it then, its my duty to guard it." suddenly dropping to her knees Rikku stared helplessly into her palms "If i dont find it ive let down hundreds of my ancestors who guarded it before me. We never used it, as many think we did we only guarded it and trained ourselves to be strong enough to resist the temptation to draw power from it. .......I have to find it..........." Rikku looked at the two of them then suddenly collapsed

The sudden emotions coming from Rikku was getting to Lina as she went to her side, holding the woman before she fell to the ground, "Easy Rikku..." she said, picking her up, "We'll wake her once we get there." she then hurried to the fast approaching entrance.

"She has amnesia," Lina said simply, "And it seems to switch memories now...before she lost the memories and after." the few people who saw her coming held the door open for all three of them, leading them to the nearest table. She thanked them quietly before setting Rikku down on one fo the chairs and waving a few smelling salts under her nose.

Remus shifted quickly into his human form, dulling the scent of the smelling salts. He cringed at how close to Rikku's nose they were. "Well, that explains her desire for that ruby pendant or whatever it was."
