Narcissa nodded as she watched him lay down in the grass, eyes accepting what he spoke, fingers lacing in the cool grass, the other hand holding the silken material of her skirt down. It wasn’t often that she felt insecure about her appearance.. It was more so that she was afraid of unintentionally hurting someone.
It reminded her of when Aaron had touched her shoulder in the kitchen… She had been so worried that she had hurt him. That he would hate her, that her world would end as she knew it… That she would have to leave the X-Mansion as soon as she had arrived.. Narcissa was worried that people would stop seeing the blonds haired girl that she really was, and begin to see only the weapon that she could be.. it was what her Mother had been worried about… Why she had been sent away. “I can’t say that I always wish I was like everyone else… But sometimes… Like when the sun goes down.. And I feel like my insides are twisting inside out..”, she murmured, her voice thicker than she had intended it to be.
“Or when I wake up scared to death that I’ve lost control… Yes.. Then I regret my gifts…”, her eyes swept away from his as they fell on the tree line, somewhat downcast. She seemed to have the potential to be so happy... But could never find a good reason to stay joyful anymore.

Carlos eyes shifted to her lightly before going back to the tree. He then ackwardly sat up both hands to one side as he shifted his weight, He used one leg to spring up and was doing a hand stand before he fell over. He was still tired and not up for anything too demanding but he was going to do it for some faster thinking. He sat up again then looked at her.
" To fear power is to let it control you... like I'm one to talk my power being fear itself. My mother told me that anyway." He blinked as he thought it over and really couldn't. He scooted over toward the tree and leaned against it just alittle of to the side from her his head hanging low staring at the grass on the ground. " you should just forget the bad. I deal with new nightmares constantly. You let fear be the fuel for your powers then they just go wack all panic and random. Then you'll really hurt someone. if you stay calm and in controll, then you shouldn't worry about hurting them." He nodded to himself and closed his eyes. HE was dealing with that very problem now, but telling her that wasn't necissarily going to boost the confidence.

“Maybe…”, she spoke lightly, carefully rising from her seated position, stretching like a cat as she took a few tentative steps. Twirling about on her heel, she smiled for perhaps the first time since she had left the kitchen.. Stilling in the rising moonlight, her hair appeared more silver than gold in the bare silhouette that her form made… “Maybe I’ll just learn after awhile… Maybe control will come easier.. And then I won’t have to worry any longer...”
Narcissa still had to unpack her suitcases… And meet her roommate. She hadn’t seen who it was yet, but she was in no mood to be trapped indoors… If felt too exhilarating to be able to absorb the light, and not fear it. The moon light was much less volatile than that of the sun, and as such, it was faintly easier to control… It was good, for justa few moments, not to have to worry..

Carlos only nodded and uh humed her statement as he was becoming sheepy again. He stretched himself as he settled against the tree wondering about certain things like what class was going to be like and how they could learn to control their powers. HE tried doing something his father's former Major taught him, trying to rest without completely falling asleep. He never really got the hang of it and his mothers meditation never really worked either.

So where are we going? Victoria shifted around in her seat to look at Kevin as he asked where they were all headed too. She blinked once and bit her lip. In all reality, she knew where they wanted to go - ice-cream, clubs, party - but as for specifics...those were up in the air.
"You'll see," she said simply to the boy, turning back around in her seat once again. Looking out the window, she saw that Morgan had driven them into a different part of Bayville, one she hadn't seen before. She assumed they were in the downtown area of Bayville, seeing as the houses were progressively worse then the ones nearer the school and the X-Mansion. Getting anxious, the femme shifted in her seat as she continued to gaze out the window, looking for anything or any place that seemed interesting.
"Holy sh-crap! Morgan, stop the car!"
The female teen barked, correcting her bad language just in time for the sake of the younger party goers. Assuming Morgan's reflexes were better then hers, the jeep would come to a stop at the tail end of a hidden, overgrown driveway.
It was old, and rather crude, but marked the entrance to what looked like a boarding house. On closer inspection, she could see the house was half-finished (or demolished) at best, making it seemingly unfit for human life, but yet she heard muffled voices from in the back yard.
"Mind if we take a small detour?" she said, more of a plead to Morgan then anything else. By pure stroke of luck, Victoria had just stumbled onto a hidden treasure, one that she just couldn't let slip up unnoticed. Rolling down the window, she pointed to a large sign with peeling letters, as if that alone would convince him to let them stop by. The sign read:
Th_ BroT_erho0d _f MuT__ts boArdI_g Ho_sE
Assuming she was correct in reading it, this could only be the 'home' of her good friends Lance and his flunky Toad. It had only been half a day since she saw Lance, but only a few hours since she saw Toad. Seeing as Toad had payed her a unexpected visit, she thought it only courteous to return the favor. ================================== Kidd consolting breifly with her friend Darius about the situation. It seemed that KIdd was afraid, nervous even, but soon enough, she warmed up to idea. The pair of them, Kidd and Darius, held hands in support for one another as Miss. Wendon nodded her head toward Xavier for him to go ahead. "Alright Miss. Wendon," said the Professor, placing his pale hands against his temples in concerntration, "try to concentratae solely on controling your powers, that will make things easier." Diving into Kidd's mind, Xavier mentally searched for the source of the problem. Thoughts, dreams and memories floated by, everything beside the one thing he was searching for could be found. It was small, most likely, and out of the way, but it both he and Kidd worked together on this, it could be found, stopped, and Kidd could continue on with her young life. Focus Miss. WendonOOC: I have to stop there for now, Xavier gives me the creeps o_0

Kevin gessed he'd just have to wait and be paitent to find out where they were headed. Victoria's response wasn't very helpful, but he could wait. In his mind he couldn't wait to get to where they were going, but he was real nervous. He wanted to have fun with his new friends, and he wanted to make new friends. But what if no one where they were going liked him. The people in the Jeep with him liked him already (or at least he thought they did), but they already had one thing in common. They were all mutants. He just hoped he could make new friends.
Then Victoria told Morgan to stop the car. All he saw was some beat up house. Thrn Victoria pointed to a sign and Kevin saw where they were. Before, when they were in the kitchen, he asked about the Brothers (he didn't know what they were called exacly). And now his questions would be answered. They lived in this boarding house in Bayville. Obviously Victoria already knew about them. But now, he just wanted to know who they were. And if they ere friendly.
He decided to say something, "The Brotherhood I asked about live here? Um, are they friendly?"

Morgan's reflexes were indeed good enough, and the jeep came to a halt in front of a rather rundown piece of property. "Are you nuts?!" he replied to Victoria.
"Friendly's not the word I'd use to describe them," he added in response to Kevin's question. He then turned back to Victoria.
"Why the hell would you want to visit them?! Didn't Toad threaten to break your neck earli- Oh, wait. I got ya," Morgan said, realisation dawning on him. "Payback's a b***h, right?"

Samara soon grew bored of the people in the back of the house. Walking slowly around the side, she saw strange cars pulled up front, and a few faces from the Institute. "X-Men, huh?"
She smiled as her eyes grew black, ten bodies raising from the dirt. "Now my dears, go pay them a visit." The group meandered out into the front lawn, moving towards the X-Men. Samara peeked her head out from around the side of the house.

Victoria was half-surprised when Morgan rounded in or her, but soon relaxed when he picked up on the 'pay-back is a b***h' vibe she was going for.
"Hell, yeah," she said, nodding extatically, and not even bothering to clean up her language. "And thanks for the concern Morgan, but I wouldn't worry about Toad to much. The boy's all talk, absolutely no action."
She finished her last sentence with a small slice through the air with her finger to signify the 'zero' that was Toad threat factor.
"So, you guys in or not?" she said to, or rather dared, the other occupants in the car.

"Oh, great. Well, they know we're here," Morgan said, peering at the mass of bodies moving towards the jeep. And then he smelled the faint aroma of death, and he realized how odd-looking the group advancing on them looked.
"Are- Are those corpses walking towards us?" he said, almost in disbelief.
"That ain't something you see every day," Raze remarked, as he too noticed the smell of decay wafting off the bodies.
"Valking corpses? You mean zombies?! Zere are zombies coming towards us?!" Kurt said, the fur on his back standing on end from the odor. While it wouldn't be that terrible to most folks, Kurt's sense of smell was rather acute, which made the smell of rot all the more powerful.
"Apparently. I wouldn't be to worried though. I actually pay attention during zombie flicks, so I know how to handle them," Morgan said, hopping out of the car. "Not very bright, zombies," he said, placing a forcefield between the zombies and the small group he was with. Zombies, not being terribly intelligent in general, would no doubt just keep stumbling into the nearly invisible wall, but otherwise not be able to do much. Or at least, that's what Morgan hoped.

Samara laughed as she made her fingers move as though the strings of a puppet were attatched to it. Slinking to the front of the house she hid behind some shrubery.
One of the reanimated corpses tore off an arm of the other, throwing it at the group with extreme force. It bounced back, hitting the thrower's head off. "Ugh, no good. Down then, my pets, and come up underneath them!"
As she spoke they moved, going down into the dirt, leaving no sign of once being there. All was still and quiet.
Twenty hands reached up, pulling ankles down into the dirt with them.

While the others where distracted with Lances little out burst Toad made his way back into the house and into the so called Landry room closet. Most of the time the other members of the house would leave unwanted clothes in the closet or in some cases they would hide them. It was here that Toad would find most of his clothes, and today was no different. Reaching far into the back Toad felt round until his hand brushed ageist something that felt like pants. Pulling the cloth out he saw that they were an old pair of gold metallic disco pants. Jackpot, all the frog boy needed to do was remove the rather large spider crawling up the left leg. Carefully he pinched one of the spiders legs and brought it up to his face for closer look. It was a Wolf spider, they weren't poisonous, just big and hairy. Knowing this Toad simply popped the bug into his mouth, chewed and swallowed, the sad part was he liked it too.
After changing into the disco pants Toad strolled outside. The pants fit him almost perfectly, fitting tightly and shinning in any light. The bottoms of each leg frayed out to from bellbottoms, and the boy couldn't be happier with his find.
Still without a s**t on Mortimer had made his way to the pool deck where he broke into a random disco pose. "Check me out!" He called striking a different pose. "I'm groovy."

"I don't think so!" Morgan said, dodging backwards as the hands burst up through the ground. Having seen zombie movies before, tricks like this were things that were standard fare. The moment you though you were safe, they would pop through the ground and eat your brains. Bringing his leg back, he swung it into a corpse's head in a soccer-style kick, knocking it clean off. Another thing about zombies was that being made of rotting flesh meant that they fell apart very easily.
"Aaah!!! Don't eat my brains!!" Kurt exclaimed, 'porting out of the grasp of one of the corpses. "Freaky!"
"EEEEK!!!" Kitty exclaimed, as two clammy, rotting hands grabbed onto the legs of her pants. "Get off, get off, get off!" she shrieked, phasing through the hands. "Eeewww, grossgrossgross," she mumbled, picking bits of dead skin off.
"I wonder how flammable they are?" Raze said, letting the zombies pull his shoes off. Of course, once they were removed, his legs feet were allowed to burst into flames, searing off the hands of whatever tried to grab him. Fortunately, he managed to roll the cuffs of his pants up in time, so they didn't get burned off along with the zombie hands.

Samara stood aggrivated, clenching her fists. The corpses rose from the ground, their numbers doubled from before. "Get them," she mumbled, her fingers dancing.
The corpses encircled the group, attatching themselves to their prey. These weren't zombies, they didn't "suck brains". They did what their master bid them.
"I wish the others would help me out," she mumbled.

"What the hell? Zombies!?"
Victoria looked at Morgan is disbelief, not wanted to believe that he was seeing walking corpses, but as she turned in her seat to look out the car window once again, she saw that he was right.
Like a bad teen horror movie unfolding in front of her eyes, Victoria reluctantly slid out of the jeep to join the rest of her group as they began to destroy the rotting corpses. Seemingly taking their cue from every other zombie flick made, the corpses, rose up from the ground beneath then, grabbing ankles in an attempt to drag them back to the underworld.
One clawed and tugged at the foot of jeans, but after a sharp tug the hold was released. Sort of. Though the arm was recoiling into the ground, the hand was still grasping firmly to her hem. Victoria squirmed as the disembedded tried to crawl its way up her leg. She stopped freaking out long enough to simply 'kick' her leg harder causing it to fly off and collide with another corpse's' face. Perfect, she thought, but looking around and seeing the crap-load of zombies encircling them, she realized that defeating the others would be so easy.
