If you have NOT posted in this thread yet, you can just skip to part 3 here, just assume your character was busy staving off centipedes for the previous parts in the Sahara. HOWEVER you will not be able to gain the rp point bonuses from part 1 and 2
One by one, the centipedes all peeled away. There was no immediate cure for the victims poisoned, some saw hallucinations still, but the enemies had disappeared.
They were safe-

The one, massive centipede leg, three times the height of any regular person that had been resting all this time began to twitch, shift; it raised itself even higher, higher from the turrets of sand pouring off it until the single leg itself was at least twenty, thirty feet. A glossy shell, like obsidian desert, followed, as the dunes began to split.
First, it was the sinking, the sand spun rapidly downwards, in a spiral, forcing all Hunters to latch onto anything they could - there was and there was only sand - as they fell, as they collided and collapsed and sank down, down, down.
Next, it was the shaking, the entire horizon trembling as a massive shape rose next to them, easily the size of the complete Deus headquarters.
Mother is coming.
The shadow was more shape than anything else, and sand tore and dripped all directions like water.
Mother is coming.
Older than us,
Wiser than us,
Our protector,
Our guardian.

This wasn't any form of horseman pet, this was a titan.

BOSS FIGHT - STAVING OFF THE TITAN
Unlike their friendlier horseman buddies, titans are massive, ancient creatures of Fear, ancient, that roam the world and occasionally, occasionally, cause trouble. Very few in number and very difficult to handle, they are almost impossible to destroy. No, just the mere thought of destroying it seems like a joke when you barely breach one pinprick of its one leg and you crane your head way, way, up and all you can see is titan.
- The only thing important right now is your life.
gaia_crown[ STEP 1 ] Roll 1d10 to start. This is the amount of damage your character takes. Make sure to rp out the prompt above, then you're ready to take on "the boss" (aka FIND SAFETY)
gaia_crown[ STEP 2 ] Your character needs to find as much safety as possible. You can try attacking it but your attacks just bounce harmless right off its shell. You can also look around to interact/help/ etc others. This is an open ended fight, meaning you can take as many turns as possible. The minimum amount you need to roll to get bonus ORP rp points is 3 (see below). RP accordingly.

ROLL 1d20, MATCH FOR SPOILER LIST DO SO FOR EVERY POST YOU MAKE AFTER THE FIRST.
1: You take -5 damage as a massive, massive limb rears down on you, just a single leg, and crushes the sand next to you, causing a backlash tidal wave to nearly suffocate you.
2. You barely avoid taking any damage. A massive dark shape moves next to you.
3. Smaller centipedes appear, they wrap around your legs and try to drag you into the sand. You or anyone else must do 10 damage to them to make them let go. (No need to roll 1d20 again until you do).
4. Ouch! You got stung! It begins to swell into an angry red welt. You don't feel so good, a strange dizziness overwhelms you. You now take 5 damage for the next 3 turns.
5. A massive shape descends towards you - you realize belated it is the body of the centipede and for a moment your legs seize up, and you can't move. You need someone to QUOTE YOU to pull you away (or, if nobody does, you can just take the -10 damage).
6. Someone grabs a hold of you - wait isn't that the Death lead - and you feel yourself being flung into the air and on top of one o the centipede carapaces. You cling for dear life as it descends slowly, and if you do not summon your weapon to hold on, will immediately fall off. If you do manage to hold on, you can try attacking the boss. Doing so will give you additional Fear charges, allowing you use use charges you depleted last turn. If you fall off, take -5 damage, it is a very long fall.
7. You see a set of runic bandages - who's you do not know. +Acquired runic bandages YOU CAN USE IN THIS EVENT ONLY. They heal ANY PLAYER half their full HP.
8. The slow-moving body descends and begins to crush you. You need you and other players, to do 20 damage to it to make it move. You take -2 auto damage every turn you are not free (just you).
9. Your legs begin to sting, wait - since when was the sand green. It is acid, oozing from the titan, and it begins to rapidly corrode your Fear shield. -2 damage a turn, only cured if someone HEALS OR DEFENDS YOU with any heal ability for 5 damage (or if you do so to yourself).
10. Something rams into you with the force of ten freight trains. You swear you've nearly shattered every bone in your body, if it weren't for your weapon. Lose HALF your remaining health.
11. You manage to avoid most of the chaos. It's just sand everywhere. A lot gets in your eyes if they are unprotected. (No damage).
12. A massive leg comes crashing down towards you, perfectly pinning your coat. You need to get rid of it! (No damage - coat)
13. You manage to find an emergency shelter from the chaos in a cave alcove. If you roll this post, you do not need to roll any more. You can try to invite players into this, but they cannot reach this shelter unless they roll it as well. If you are there you are in the [ SHELTER/ ALCOVE ]
14. A flaming centipede comes towards you. It doesn't do much damage but your clothes have caught on fire! (10 HP to take it out, otherwise -1 damage per post you make).
15. You are filled with suddenly, quite intense resolve. Quote a player. You may save that player from taking any damage for their next turn.
16. You get pinned beneath the massive shape of the titan as you try to move away from it. For a terrifying moment it feels like you can't feel your legs, and then the sand is shifting and you squirm out. Your legs sting, they're bleeding now, beyond the Fear shield, but you have to keep on moving. (10 damage, cannot go below 0 on this post).
17. For just a single moment, you are safe. Just barely. (No damage).
18. You manage to find shelter right underneath the moving centipede, but it is a dance trying to figure out which direction the legs will move. (No damage).
19. A passing Hunter tosses you a runic trap torch. Any small mobs you encounter will immediately be nullified by the torch.
20. Pick any roll option from above.

Anyone who would have been coherent enough to deal with the two incredibly dramatic Rylands kneeling in the sand would have announced that there were bigger problems than this. Since nobody seemed to have the gumption (or time) to do such a thing the world apparently decided to do it for them.
The ground quaked and threw the crying teenager into the body of her equally-upset mother as thick black legs erupted from the ground. Sand quaked so much that she was buried up to her knees before even realizing what had happened. One of those legs smacked her so hard that she hit the ground, face down, tasting the grit in her teeth.
Never had she seen something so massive. Verdant eyes widened at the mere sight of the wiggling leg before it had moved and slithered over to review the enormous body of a giant centipede.
Now, Sonja was definitely not one to back down from a fight. She, in fact, relished challenges! But she also knew when it was time high-tail it the ******** out of a situation that she knew was not worth the fight. The scars on her mouth would always be a constant reminder of such.
"O-okay. We need to leave."

'Yes. Shut it or I'll toss you.' She wouldn't really and Li knew that but the words still stung a bit.

The legs continued to erupt and threw her back, knocking her into someone and causing a good sand-burn across her face and arms.
"s**t!" A loud groan rumbled from her chest as she reached for Li, her weapon having been thrown to her side from the centipede's legs.

The giant centipede finally went away, it probably got bored of Joy ignoring it. Except the ground was shaking and she was pretty sure the sand should not be shaking. ********, why did missions in the Sahara always have to be so terrible? Well it wasn't always terrible. There was that time when she was a Horseman and knew Famine Horsemen as friends.

Starting to feel even more woozy, Brittney got the feeling she was simply seeing s**t when that giant-a** ******** of a bug showed its fugly face and its countless legs. Like they weren't ******** to hell and back already, this b***h decides to try and bury them all.
Well too ******** bad for it but Brittney ain't having none of that bullshit!

Terry was quick to catch Kim in his arms once the centipedes released their hold on her. "I got you, just lean against me and we-" the rest of his words died in his throat as the massive creature arrived. Sand all but drowned him, grit clogging lungs and FEAR shield going into overdrive to shunt the particles out of him.
Was this thing why Agata had been feeling an unusual and unpleasant sensation of cold? What gave it away, Terry? s**t, what was going to happen now? The Life trainee's only plan was give no ******** about looking like a coward running away with his tail between his legs because that coward would still be breathing. And of course, he would be carrying Kim with him.
The sand beneath Lin's feet sank, slowly at first, then more rapidly, spinning downward as something colossal heaved itself out and up from beneath the sand. It was a column, a pillar, a leg, just a single leg of a centipede so large that her mind refused at first to acknowledge it for what it was. She scrambled to avoid being buried, numb with sheer shock.
A leg came down beside her, and the force of the impact flung her off her feet, and she felt the silent shattering-glass sensation of Anax's shield breaking, a sensation she'd only felt once or twice on the training field, but this was not the training field. This was real. This was deadly, and she wasn't at all sure she was going to survive it.
No matter how sick she felt, how angry she was beneath the ache in her heart, Caroline would never allow any of that to take priority above the safety of her daughter. The jolt of adrenaline that leapt upon her already anxious body was not the most useful of responses, but it was good enough, allowing her enough focus to snatch up a stray med kit that was noisily tumbling down the dune nearby.
"HEY." She grabbed onto Cami's arm so tightly that it would have hurt, if not for the shield, and held onto her with determined desperation as she wound the bandage around her arm, hoping it would restore FEAR to her shield if she needed it. "Don't--Sunshine, if we get split up--find me and I'll find you. Promise me, baby. Promise me."
Whatever conscious thoughts she had, whatever bickering words she had for her sister, they where swallowed up by the voice of the titan, the sound of sand cascading like a water fall.
The scream as she was ripped from the sand and her sister and tossed into the air again like a rag doll. She came down hard, she wasn't sure sand could be this hard. Some thing snapped. A rib?
Where was Lei? Where was Sol? The world went dark again and blood dripped at the corner of her lips.
LUNAIRE NEEDS HELLA HELP

Her mouth opened to say that, well, maybe they were wrong? It could be a Hunter. Maybe Gale was right? But the words didn't make it out. The hunterpede or whatever it was became the furthest thing from her mind as everything else started to move. She tried to gain some level of balance through shoving the butt of her scythe into the sands, but that did little as they rushed away beneath her, watching in horror as something far, far beyond the reality she'd ever known rose up, and up.
She yelped as she tumbled and fell, and something hit her but she'd not idea if it was the giant centipede or if it was something else. But when the world seemed to settle enough to move, she got up and she took a few steps to begin to run as she saw others doing. Immediately she looked around for Gale and Stormy, and she saw the other guy with the scythe and couldn't help but shout out, "What is that thing?!" It dimly occurred to her she didn't even know his name yet.

Hands had reached out quite greedily for the specimen jar as Dinah's attention was immediately arrested by the offering. Haint or no haint that was a golden opportunity that she was not at all dumb enough to refuse.
Unfortunately things that seemed too good to be true often were. The ground began to quake as voices filled their minds speaking of their Mother and, without warning, a great centipede came from the ground. Vivid swearing filled the air as Dinah was thrown backwards, jar flying in the air, to be lost to the swirling mess of the thing's body.
Immediately she tried to roll over, the world spinning. "Alice! Where are you?!"
It was a titan. Rep knew what titans meant, they meant getting the ******** out of dodge as quickly as possible. So he ran, he ran across the thrashing dunes in the direction of something solid in the sands, somewhere that he could escape a truly ******** horrible sandy death.
He didn't desummon Tracey but in places had to use the flat of the blade to cross somewhere the sand was too soft to walk on.

Wasn't time to get the sand out of his mouth. Wasn't time to yell at Nash for bringing Centi-mama with his damn baby weapon. Wasn't time to shove Dean, nor was it time to help his sister with Vash. Wasn't time to admit to Sonja that the kick Dottie gave him was actually tame by usual standards.
Nope.
Instead he was hit by the giant bug and sent flying into the air until he landed and tumbled like a ragdoll. "FUUUUUUUUUUUU-" He shouted, but landed and bounced along the sand, with no further sound.
