A monster screeched, swooping down at her, but thankfully, she had ducked in time. Hah!
It should have taken the chickens she had willingly offered before when it had the chance. But now? It was too late. They could suck it.

Marzena raised her arms in triumph, a proud smile crossing her lips which slowly faded as she eyed the numerous chickens upon the bridge.
This was slightly concerning, but if Percival wasn't saying anything, then it wasn't her business. It wasn't as though she cared for the chickens anyway. If anything, Marzena was getting irritated by those feathery buggers and if they went down with the bridge, so be it.

A partner in arms. He couldn't tell if the title pleased him, or disappointed him. It was a strange sort of acceptance, almost as if he realized that there was something a little deeper to a connection that began with being partners, than one based off of lust and vanity.
This new world was all so strange.
He found himself a barrel filled with spirits, and opened the tab to drink a gulp before tightening it closed again - accidentally spilling quite a bit on his armor as he did so. The chicken was placed on his head, and he stared at her arms in their proximity, pouting as they went away.
And now he had a chicken.

Indulging in intoxicants in anything she found familiar in practice, in tactics and observation and the consumption of knowledge, was something abhorrent to consider. But Mildred had already settled upon the fact that this was Robert's realm of knowledge, not hers - and spirits may well have improved this.
So she bent down towards the tap, struggled shamefully with opening it after he'd so tightly closed it again, and took one large gulp. It tasted absolutely horrendous and began to spill out of the corners of her mouth before she managed to close the tap again.
Maybe no one had noticed the face she made and the lurch of her stomach that followed.
"Ah, but what of every day?" she asked, stepping up on a small crate, until the two of them were closer to eye level. She leaned forward to prop her elbows on his shoulders, and locked her gaze with his as she covertly collected a second, smaller chicken. Never breaking her stare, she very slowly piled atop the first chicken on his head.

Zar was carrying his hay bale to the edge - and not well either - the thing was really heavy. A chicken hopped on and made his job harder, but also would make things slightly more awkward for those down below when he finally threw the thing over.
