What a day this was turning out to be. Monsters overrunning the labs, all their rooms in states of disarray and new volunteers for transformation had certainly picked a bad day to turn up. Helena had listened to Silvia's speech with a burning enthusiasm to protect their only home and defend against their hidden foe. She'd once again felt sorry for the siren, being stuck in her room down below while the rest of them were able to move around where they pleased.
She was glad to see Silvia had been able to restore her hearing with that spell.
The phoenix had been a wonderful sight to behold and she was amazed at the way the girl had taken out those harpies. Good to have such a fiery ally on their side, Helena thought. Although, the gorgon was concerned for where the new rituals would be held without an observation room. Perhaps they were planning to install a new sheet of safety glass.
Following orders, she slithered around with a broom and dustpan, sweeping up the many shards and shapes of broken glass. She was careful to block off the area with her snake body and tail, so no one would inadvertently walk into the shards. Helena worked as fast as she could, listening to the sweeping of the broom and the tinkling of the glass. She was dumping the shards into a wastebin, but there was so much of it, the bin was filling up fast.

Corel had followed the others to where they said it was safe, but when they got there, she discovered that wasn't so true as she hoped. The sight of all the mythical creatures, the phoenix destroying those weird birdlike monsters and the broken glass, the things they were all saying about an enemy and the state of affairs. It was too much for her to take. She'd been standing, in shock, her eyes wide and staring as she stayed rigidly in one spot. Somewhere between when she'd been drawn by the mysterious calling, and when she'd followed Alex here, her numbed fingers lost their grip on her handbag and it had been dropped and lost. When people began to move away, and the sounds of construction and sweeping glass fragments mingled with the rest of the building's noises, Corel jumped and took a sudden gasping breath, like someone had just doused her in a bucket of ice water. She made a soft whimpering noise and sank onto her haunches, wrapping her arms around her knees and rocking back and forth on her heels. Her hair formed a curtain that blocked out the world as she closed her eyes, hiding her face. She could feel herself having a panic attack, and soon was sobbing and crying uncontrollably. She wished the whole world would go away. There was nowhere to run, there was nowhere to hide, but if she closed her eyes, she could pretend this was all a bad dream.

Finita snorted as the bird perched upon her horns as she charged through the halls.
Of course I'm going after her! I can't let her get hurt!
Down hallways, through rooms. Most monsters she charged right past, and they seemed to dive and scramble out of the way... smart enough to know not to mess with a charging Minos.
As they wound their way deeper into the lab, she eventually made her way into the depths of the lab. It was a grand room, with a huge scoping ceiling, and on the opposite side there was the Vault door, half open...
Standing infront of the Vault was a HUGE beast... it towered over Finita ans the sparrow sized Magz. It was big, it's head nearly touching the ceiling. It was ugly, with two twisted horns that were jagged and broken in different directions, a shaggy beard and mane, large claws a mouth full of jagged teeth. It wore naught by a loincloth, and it's eyes glittered with malice.
It saw Finita and snarled at her, baring it's broken teeth.
Giant. Hissed Finita. Flicking off her pendent she started to grow back to her full size. You know, I keep wondering why people keep perching on my horns... it's not a good idea...
~~~
Ratchet found as he followed after Finita that the Monsters fled and scurried out of her way in fear as she charged through the halls...
He wasn't so lucky.
He found himself looking at the rear end of a large lion like creature... it seemed to have two heads from what he could see, and it's tail was a thick long snake! The snake hissed at him, and the creature turned to face him. It had a goat head with two very long hornas and in it's chest an neck was the face of a lion.
It roared at him loudly before leaping at him, claws outstretched...
It was when Olivia touched down on Estelle's head that Estelle finished her work. The dwarf had a big smile on her face and a glimmer in her coal black eyes, and her hair was curling with satisfaction.
Ahm makin weapons! We're gonna go kick soome arse!
Lying on the table was a group of weapons. What Estelle did to the stone them... wasn't clear... She didn't seem to have any tools. One was an absolutely MASSIVE Greatsword, the second a maul perfectly sized for Estelle, the 3rd a Meteor hammer. They were all made of stone, and seemingly decorated by complex and intricate Celtic knot work carvings. All three of them were plain, save for those carvings...
Picking up the Maul she strapped it across her back with a grin. Taking the meteor hammer she hung it off her belt and hauled the great sword over to Alex.
She flipped it in her hands, caught it by the stone blade, and held the pommel of the hilt right up to his face. It was plain, but a masterwork of stonework, and so sharp the edges gleamed...
E're. This es fer yew. Denne expect any moore freebes! Next tyme, ah want gold!
Helena was making good progress sweeping up the glass, (well, somebody had to do it), clearing much of the shards away so that just fragments remained here and there. The bin had long since been filled so she swept them into a large pile, thinking maybe she could ask one of the others to do something with it. Either the phoenix could melt it down with her flames, or maybe Estelle could form it into something new.
Everyone else was either fighting monsters or doing other tasks. She wished she had a vacuum cleaner to get all the tiny splinters that the broom wouldn't pick up, though. If this room was meant to be their fortified base, it would have to be made safe. She sorely wished she could go and get her alchemy set from her room but Helena knew better than to risk being frozen again. Her fingers itched to try out recipes with it though. Who knows what she could come up with to defend themselves, or to heal and aid? She sighed in frustration and set the broom against a wall as she finished sweeping the last of the glass into the pile.
Hearing conversation behind her, she slid over to where Alex, Estelle and Olivia were standing, glancing at the crying girl on the floor. From the shades that safely covered her eyes, she looked at the weapons Estelle had crafted, her snakes craning their necks to inspect them. "Ss, those are some nice weapons Estelle. Well, if you three are going to fight monssters, I'll come and help! I've already swept up the glass and we should clear the area of pests. I'm a little worried about the others with all these monsters running around". She glanced down at Corel again, wondering what they should do with the girl. In her current state, Helena didn't want to just leave her here by herself.
Estelle smiled, and her hair curled happily.
Why thank ye, lass! Ere' I'll see if ah canne make ye something ye can use yeself...
Sticking the Greatsword tip first into the floor, and picking the fairy off of her head and putting her into Helena's hand, Estelle once again retreated into the meditation room. There had been quite a bit of stone left over, and once again the sound of construction could be heard...
A breeze blew in a ruffled everyone's hair, before Alex felt something pawwing at his trousers... a strange, almost wobbly sound could be heard that was strangely adorable...
Out of nowhere a tiny fox kit appeared, stumbling around clumsily. It stumbled away from Alex and bumped into Helena's tail... It was extremely fluffy, had pure silver fur, Emerald eyes, and nine tails...
((The kind of noise she's making. She looks like that but with the fur of a Persian cat and it's all silver.))
Magz laughed lightly at Finita's comment about her current perch. "Well, most of us are reminded of the parrot-on-your-shoulder cliche anytime you have something small on you like that and I figure you're not really a pirate kind of girl. Plus, your horns are a perfect branch of you, which reminds me of trees. But if you feel uncomfortable, then I can hold onto something else." Then there was the giant. With the vault door ajar and a giant in the way, Magz was surprised that Silvia hadn't been squished. Although... giants were notoriously stupid, so she shouldn't be surprised the fox had managed to find a way around it. Magz decided to try a bit of fire to help her new friend and took flight, but was surprised to find the flames trying to escape from her beak instead of covering her body, so she ended up spitting out a fireball that landed at the giant's feet.
Micheal was calling in orders and looking through shelves for equipment. He could keep communication going and try to gather everyone here, but as for Finita's orders to sound proof their ears against a siren song seemed nearly impossible. They were still studying her voice. Her voice was like a kind of hypnotism, but if Silvia was telling the trust about Cecelia shattering rock with a screech, it might not be the noise stimulating the brain but the sound waves physically hitting them. He rubbed his temples. They didn't have time to figure it out. He was getting frustrated. "How to protect everyone. How?" he murmured."Think, Micheal, think!" It was about that time that the little kit appeared out of nowhere. He started at it and then chuckled at the adorableness of it. He knelt down and reached out to the little creature, scratching the nine-tails carefully around the ears. "Hey there." he said softly. He couldn't exactly look after it. There were things he needed to do. He looked over at the still weeping Corel. He had been trying to figure out how to calm her as well, but(again) he had things that needed to be done. So he carefully picked up the little kit and walked over to Corel. "Hey." he said gently, "Corel. I need you to calm down." He made her look at him, by lifting her chin. "See this little kit? She needs you to look after her. Can you do that for me? For her? Will you be brave even for that?"
Shikoba wasn't sure how she was supposed to be meditating. Everyone was trying to help, or actually helping. It seemed wrong to just sit in a corner and just meditate. Like taking advantage of the others. Still, she reluctantly sat in the corner and tried to do as she was asked. She closed her eyes and concentrated on her breathing.
(OOC: I'm sorry everyone, I'll post in this rp tomorrow. I've kind of lost my desire for this one atm. sweatdrop )
It's not that it makes me uncomfortable... Said Finita, as she watched the Pheonix spit the fireball at the Giant's feet. It didn't move at all though it's foot did catch on fire. The giant seemed to laugh before lifing up his big club and advancing towards the Phoenix...
Though... This is why I don't like people on my horns. Finita said, before charging full on past the Phoenix so fast she left an air wake. She hit the Giant headfirst, impaling it on her horns, lifting off of it's feet and slamming it into the opposite wall hard enough that the bird could hear it's ribs crack very loudly.
The giant howled before trying to lift it's arms... only to find it's wrists being held by Finita's iron grip. She wrenched it's arms and wrestled it to the ground... it barely looked like it was giving Finita any challenge at all...
Meanwhile, another figure was emerging from the vault... She seemed to be a beautiful woman, with long black hair, paper white skin, blue eyes and purple lips; Her garb, which was a kimono, was similar in shade.
She lifted her arms as she looked upon the Minos wrestling the Giant with eyes so cold that they could have made water freeze itself. She lifted her arms, and her hands started go crackle with frost and steam poured off of them...
Magz, with her connection to fire, was the first to feel the temperature drop...
The little kit licked at Micheal's fingers as he picked her up and pondered what to do with the little kit. When he decided to give the kit to Corel, the kit looked up at Corel with adorable eyes as Micheal offered the kit to her. The kit curled her tails about Micheal's hands as he held her.
Meanwhile, Estelle stepped out of the meditation room, collected a large handful of shards, before retreating back into the meditation room. About two minutes later out Estelle stepped, with a smile on her face. She approached Helena.
E're ye go.
It was a tall spear, about as plain as the other weapons safe for the flat spear head which was made of glass and runed with a very intricate knot. The spear head looked wickedly jagged and sharp and gleamed slight rainbows in the light as the light shone through the glass...
Ahm' moore o' a fan o' hammars ahself, but ah think et fit ye.
(OOC: I've decided to leave this rp. I don't want to hold it up, plus the stress and pressure is starting to get to me. It's been fun roleplaying with everyone and I'm sorry for doing this. I hope you all don't hate me. You guys can use my characters since they're important. I've been pushed too far with a lot of things, and I don't want to cause any more problems.
So I'm bowing out of this one. Thank you Okami for letting me participate for a little while. Good luck with it.)
