 Raen snickered slightly, rolling his eyes. "Funny; you claim that I'm extremely talented with music, when I don't feel I am and yet when I say the same to you, which is more accurate, you say the exact same thing I do," he said teasingly. He noticed Haruka turning down a nearby hall towards what his enhanced senses told him was apparently an indoor pool.

Mairi grinned slightly "I do not.I know I'm talented.But I know I'm not talented enough to get a Luthier to drop the price on his wares.At least I doubt I am." She'd never tried to do such a thing because she'd never had a reason to.She fallowed Haruka's progress before turning and heading in the opposite direction.

Mairi opened her mouth to argue verbally this time and shut it again, frowning.She let out a defeated sigh a few minutes later "I really hate it when you're right sometimes." Ginhana let out one her barking laughs, figuring they had been have some moderate quarrel or another.

Raen smiled slightly. "And that, sweetheart, is why I tend to branch out musically... some styles that I'm sure you or Michiru would be skilled at I'd be utterly horrible at," he said with a faint smile, half teasing her.

Mairi let out a tiny sigh "I do branch out in music.And Michiru's styles are totally different from my own.She's stuck on work that was made in the past.I tend to give newer song a different light.." She held her hand out in front of her slightly, pausing when she felt the door that lead back outside.

Raen chuckled softly. "I know that feeling," he said quietly, lightly pushing the door with his mind and opening it. "The past may have its talent, but sometimes the present has talent that is just as impressive, as does the future," he said quietly. He shifted his weight, not seeming to see, which he actually didn't, but sensing a certain Senshi of Time that wasn't far off from where they stood.

Mairi hesitated a second before going out the door "I'd rather not be able to see what talent lies in the future.Some of it isn't as pleasant as you'd expect.." She stood on the side walk in front of the building, having no idea where to go next.

Mairi snorted slightly "Lucky you." It wasn't that she was ungrateful for this freaky little gift, but she didn't like that fact that she knew when, and how, each person was to die.She knew their entire life story at the blink of an eye.

The Lady Reaper OOC |- The dark presence referred to is Wiseman/Death Phantom/Chaos, though he doesn't realize it yet. Raen smiled faintly though it swiftly shifted into a focused look as he concentrated, blocking out the tumult of the thoughts of everyone within a three mile radius. He had to get the hang of doing so subconsciously so it wouldn't distract him so much. "Lucky you that you have a way to block it out at the moment.... I don't," he muttered through clenched teeth, strain edging his voice as he'd woken up at 2 AM hearing the thoughts of every living person for quite some distance. It seemed to him that music, to some extent, blocked out the thoughts and voices. He noted that there were some blank areas, where he could sense nothing of their thoughts, though at the moment one was Mairi while the other had an extremely dark aura that seemed to absorb light into itself while casting a disturbing aura outward.

Mairi hesitated a moment before linking their minds "Relax.The harder you try, the harder it is to find control." She carefully searched the edges of his mind and found the one little trigger that she knew would help.As if hitting a switch, she let loose a sort of energy he'd been holding back, nothing that would cause him, or anyone else harm, but rather a sort of light in the darkness.

Raen released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding as he felt an odd sensation similar to getting cold water dumped down your back on a hot day. His eyes opened slowly to reveal the crimson-orange edges had faded away, leaving the swirling indigo-navy color untouched. "That had to be the strangest sensation I've ever felt before," he muttered.

Mairi slipped out of his mind just as easily as she'd entered, leaving that little 'switch' on, knowing he'd be able to turn it off now when he want.She gave a quiet laugh "You haven't felt anything yet.Just wait until you really know what you're doing." She expanded her sight a little bit, still trying to figure out where to go.

Raen tilted his head when Mairi laughed softly before speaking. "I'm sure you can help me with that. I've always been more 'physical' in skills than 'mental', like you," he said quietly, half joking. A low gurgling growl sounded, making him blink. "I just hope that one of the side effects of being what we are isn't a massively boosted metabolism, otherwise we may end up spending a lot of money on food," he muttered with a sigh.
