There were very few hunters who did well with bugs crawling everywhere, including Saya. Prompto was having a hard time speaking to Saya through her internal screaming, although he didn't need to do much to be summoned in a ashen-faced frenzy.

Thane rumbled with delight as she swung low and cleaved through several more of the waiters, wishing she could block out their stubbornly courteous questions. She looked to Gale to answer but instead found herself moving just past him, piercing a wave of bugs coming up from behind them.

Somehow, the moon trainee came around quickly enough to stab a few more spiders, before getting up and running around some more. He was still screaming like a girl though. Glenda soon had to abandon her post, however, as a tidal wave of spiders began its menacing crawl across the room toward her.
Unfortunately, she ran straight into another hunter who was shouting in what she could only assume was more French.
"Oh, parley-voot-"
Before she could finish, he fired off a blindingly bright attack, sending her staggering backward straight onto her bottom.

It figured that the of all the things that could have possibly happen would be that they would be surrounded by ghosts on a haunted ship. Even worse that people freaked out and ended up attacking said ghosts and while Ryan hadn't been among the few that had attacked, it looked like everyone was expected to join the fray now. If they intended to live past this little ordeal.
So just as one of the smaller creatures came near, Locke was summoned in a flash of red and the creature was struck down.

Alaska vaguely wondered how Sin was fairing considering his sudden change in personality upon discovering that this was a ghost ship. Maybe the spiders would distract him...?

Ofelia prepped herself for another round when. . . . .she found the death lead carving a wonderful path through some spiders and followed after him. Normally she'd avoid the man because he was the kind of crazy that didn't do well with anyone (living) but in this case following him seemed the best bet.
That was until he turned and suddenly kicked her out of the way. A grunt had her landing on her butt and missing being attacked by something. In a roundabout way she should have been thankful but...newp.
Caelius was still a d**k.

The bugs had taken notice of Evan and were swarming towards him in a thick, black wave of legs and antennae and squirmy, wriggly bodies. He cursed and looked for higher ground, hopping onto one of tables so he didn't get swarmed.

Thankful for the moral support as well as the shield protection from moon division lead, Kat was thankfully able to successfully get another charge ready for prep before getting back into the fray with the other hunters.

Of course every time Ofelia tried to use her charge it never worked right. Maybe the people who fought her were always lucky because of that?
Or maybe she was just in too much of a crowded space for it to even properly matter? It didn't, really, and the redhead groaned as she moved to try and attack again.
This was going to be a long fight.

Glenda could feel the spiders wash over her, but she couldn't see them - all she could see were bright playbacks of the hunter's odd attack.
"Girroff!" She yelled. She tried putting her cigar out on one of them (which she had somehow maintained throughout the entire misadventure), but ended up just putting it out on her own arm.
