BOOM BOOM BOOM Whether or not Amarus had snuck off again was unclear; it was perfectly possible Zel was merely around the corner, and sugarhigh Mar was just racing him there. It was possible. He had been fireman carrying her almost everywhere, given her tendency to just flit off somewhere after ingesting another of those candy hearts. Those delicious, fascinating hearts.
And somewhere inside herself, she felt like a prisoner of the sugar; no matter how much this contradicted her own nature, she couldn't seem to help but be this excitable and eager. She was still herself, too, just... kind of intense in a different way. Regardless, she'd now managed to make a third attempt at vengeance on the booth.
Technically, she could continue to blame her sugar-addled brain and shaking hands on her poor performance. But at this point, she wasn't 100% sure it was all the sugar. "I really suck at this game," she muttered, an edge of disbelief tainting her voice.

BOOM BOOM BOOM "Maybe I'd play better blindfolded," she suggested to herself, with a sugarhigh grin. And without direct supervision, it seemed like she was actually about to attempt it. So she did, she did: she took off one of her ribbons, tied it over her eyes, and tried to listen for the hum of balloon energies.
Apparently, when sensing their energies through some sort of mystical sugarhigh, she actually did play better than when she was staring at the balloons. A little better, at least. Instead of hitting a sad angry balloon first, she hit a happy one!
It wasn't really surprising she was better at hitting the hateful balloons; until recently, Amarus had not understood anything of the possibility that someone could consider her ... date-able? That anyone could be interested in her. She was just never that ghoul. She wandered around, amusing herself, seemingly incapable of lasting friendships.
And now this.

BOOM BOOM BOOM "Lucky, lucky, lucky... Kyo!" she exclaimed, still blindfolded, folding her hands into the kuji-kiri for energy before letting her darts fly. As in, picking them up and chucking them, like she imagined nearly everyone else had to do.
If nothing else, the sensory deprivation was making her feel a little more herself and a little less insane. Yeah no she did way worse this time. Hah. Naturally. There was no such thing as balloon energies, right?
"I wish I could just pretend Zel was me, and feel better about this," she grimaced at the booth. She'd basically just suggested that she wished he could play in her place, because she clearly sucked at this. It was unprecedented she'd ever suggest such a thing.
She stalked off to the booth, her sugarhigh turning into some kind of warped wave of irritation.

BOOM BOOM BOOMYes! That was much better, take that pink balloons! Take that Scarentines! The undead boil almost let loose a happy whinny but he quickly clapped a hand to his mouth. He was excited yes, but the game wasn't over yet... Plus whinnying in this form was just downright embarrassing.
He gathered up his last set of darts, steadied his arm and FIRED!

BOOM BOOM BOOMDay five of the event and Uru was ready to challenge the booth that took his ego just not a day ago. The rules were simple, the task was simple, and yet, he was utterly defeated yesterday. Determined, the hellhound grasped the darts for the first attempt of the day.
A bonus! His spirits soared and the score was the one of the highest he had gotten since attempting the booth! With an uncharacteristic cheer, he coughed and settled himself down, glancing about to see if anyone was looking.

BOOM BOOM BOOM Once again Andrew wandered his was over to the darts. His pass failures did not deter him. this time, he would do better hopefully. he was feeling much better then before. Less cranky at any rate.
He picked up his darts and threw, pop pop pop. He hit one bad one but the others three in a row.
Yep, much better.

BOOM BOOM BOOM Andrew was doing rather well. He smiled to himself getting a little confidence and tosses his final round of darts.
This time he managed not to hit as many heartless balloons. He was feeling much better today that was for sure.

BOOM BOOM BOOM As soon as Thackery discovered that winning enough meant minipets, he couldn't stop. Unfortunately, he still hadn't quite figured out how to direct his excitement to pop the balloons to only the pink balloons.
He heavily considered trying to convince them to change the rules to 'pop a heartless = win a heartless'.

BOOM BOOM BOOM If Thackery believed in 'luck' instead of 'skill', he might have been feeling a little unlucky right now. It seemed that every time the dart wanted to actually pop a balloon, it negated the ones he really meant to pop.
He frowned suspiciously at the darts. This was their fault.
