The bibarel was strong, stronger than perhaps it should have been, but there was no way that he would be able to last forever. They had to be getting closer to weakening it, to winning, but it felt as if they had fought him forever. Maybe they had. Maybe this was just one major nightmare, and he'd wake up back on the ship. Very unlikely, but amusing to distract himself with.

The king was growing weaker by the second, but so were the other pokemon. Rumble saw others pause to help revive other pokemon and he grunted, trying to draw the king's attention on himself to give the others a chance to heal up. He slashed the king across the chest a few times before taking a blow right back.
