"So?! She's still someone I care for!"
Jaheezius . . . kid . . . Well, we got in this.
It was around that time that C.J. felt the kick from the kid. "Whoops! Here, lemme get in a better spot for 'em." he said and adjusted himself so the kids wouldn't get squished by their surrogate dad.

Misty smiled a little bit as he moved. Honestly...she loved being so close and personal like that. But...with the complicated little situation she had thanks to Warp's powers...she really needed to give them as much space as she could.
"Hm. I'm sure they appreciate it." she said with a smile, keeping the upper part of her body close to CJ

"I just hope I can do the best for 'em . . . er that is, if you want me to." C.J. said, stuttering a bit near the end of it. Of course, he had no idea how hard it was to be a father and a part of a bounty hunting gang, but he'd find out!

Misty paused for a minute and looked at him. "I....that's up to you." she replied with a small smile. "I understand if you wouldn't want to...especially with their actual father and the trouble that's going to come along with it." she said, then blushed a bit. "But...if...if you're really fine with it. Then..."

C.J. smiled and nodded. "I owe that guy a few licks for abandonin' the kids. I'd be happy to help out in any way I can." he said and gave her a kiss. "Don't worry about a thing, hon. I gotcha." he assured her . . . of course, he had no idea that the other guy was an intellectual caveman out for them.

"I....well....he didn't actually abandon them..." Misty began uneasily, her face showing that she wasn't really sure how to explain what she wanted. If she wanted to. How was he going to react knowing that the guy was going to eventually *eat* the kids...would kill her and anyone else who got in the way...and was responsible for several huge parts of history.

C.J. looked at Misty. As suddenly as he was before he went and broke down the door, it was like a switch. C.J. was back with his game face on. "Okay, what happened, hon?" he asked. This was getting to be serious!

Misty looked up at him for a long moment, then sighed and glanced away a bit. "Well...It was a one night kind of thing. I was exhausted and wasn't really thinking when I met him. All the brandy didn't help either. But...that night...and Warps powers....well...we both found out I was pregnant the next morning. He didn't seem bothered by it at all, and was more than happy to help me or take them off my hands. Not long after Batman dropped by and told me just what kind of person the man was. He...he *eats* his offspring to keep his immortality. After Batman had said that, his entire personality seemed to change. He threatened to kill me if I tried to keep the children from him. Batman caught him and took him away. But...if he does get out...he will be after me." she replied quietly. Not sure how this was going to effect CJ's willingness to keep by her. Knowing she had a potentially immortal stalker.

"Child eater? *GULP!* Sooooooooooo we got a plan?"
Nope.
"Par for the course. Let's do it!"
C.J. nodded. "I'm gonna have a ball whuppin' his a** if he even lays a FINGER on you or the kids." he said, his southern drawl seemed intensified the angrier he got at the situation. This was something the young man did NOT take lightly. Sure, he'd been shot at, near killed seven times protecting her, but if staying with her meant going toe-to-toe with a big-a** immortal caveman, then the look of sheer fire in his eyes was a lovely little hint that THIS quite-mortal, not-a-superpower-to-his-name, underdog of a Rockabilly singer was FAR from backing down.
"Sugar, you got my solemn vow that if the fella gives you any danger, I'll guarantee he'll get his." he said.

Misty stared up at him, then smiled after his reply. "Thank you, CJ." she said quietly. Then she leaned up and close to CJ to kiss him. Wrapping her arms around him while keeping enough space between them for the kids.

C.J. smiled back. "You're welcome, m'dear. Glad t' do it." he said and held her in his arms and kissed her. He was full aware he was in over his head, but somehow he knew he'd overcome it. If not for him, but for her and the kids.

Well that's a quick tour.
"SHADDAP and get to the love scene!"
. . . *facepalm*
C.J. smiled and held her. "Well, I guess the rest we can take a look at later. How 'bout we get back to our car and have us a little 'lone time, huh?" he asked and gave her a peck on the cheek. It was clear that she wasn't the ONLY one with those ideas in mind . . . the rest of the tour would just have to wait for another day.
