Desert glanced at Arc as what looked like a demon rose behind him. 'Maybe I should just kill him now.' He calmed down and walked towards the palace. "come on, we still have work to do." His body soon disappeared as a note was left behind. It said, "Stick to Arc, Syori. He will protect you from danger." Soon Desert himself appeared at the top of the palace.

"Don't worry I won't protect you if you don't want, a bird seems delicate but it has talons and a sharp beak. I know this. Instead if anything happens let's fight as equals." Arc suggested as he took her hand and kissed it, he was such a flirt. And he enjoyed every moment of it. Something felt off though when he kissed her hand and he hesitated for a moment before figuring it out. She didn't like him that way it seemed, perhaps she was falling for Loda despite his incompetence and him giving up. "My, my, my, well this is a unusual development." He grinned before picking Syori up bridal style. "How about the Black Lion takes the the beautiful Crane to the Carp?" He paused for a moment before shaking his head. "Wow, that was too dead, and lame for me." He sighed before walking a few steps before setting Syori down. "Right..equals." He took her hand instead and lead her along the rooftops looking for Loda who he referred to as the carp.

As Arc went looking for Loda, with Syori's hand in his. He refused to let go and whenever there was a threat of her hurting herself from tripping or such he'd stop to help her. Suddenly he looked to see Loda, hanging on the hour hand of the by the back of his shirt. He set Syori on her feet before running towards the clock tower, putting on his claw gauntlets and using his strength to climb up the tower. Once he got up to the clock face he noticed the hour hand was farther than it looked from afar but wasn't daunted, just annoyed. Seeing the knob at the center of the clock face he figured he may be able to reach the hour hand from there.

Loda's head was in a funny position but he was still alive, much to Arc's dismay, when he looked down the clock face, then in the distance he caught the glowy red flag. "Syori! Go and hide, there's some pirates coming!" He tried to yell over Pear's barking from up on the balcony. Once he got to the button on the center of the clock face he reached for the hour hand, using his claws to slide down it once he made a slight mistake of slipping before he could get a proper hold on the metal. Accidentally knocking off the hanged pirate and letting go to free fall after him. "Why the hell am I doing this? Saving my competition for Syori." He muttered as he caught up to Loda, moving so he landed on his feet at the last second.

Desert was sitting standing on the roof of the palace with Ayane laying in his lap. "This is pretty big Ayane, are you sure you want to go through with this?" In the meeting room the queen and Ayane have discussed matters of becoming allies.

Ayane just smiled as she kissed him. "Of course, I am more then happy to gain new allies. Even if that means making a couple enemies." Hanging from some of Desert's chains was a small group of people.

Desert let them go and then stood up. "Now I must take care of my crew. Ayane, you are still welcome to join us." He smiled as he sprinted off.

"Then how we ditch both your plans and go with mine." Desert soon jumped and landed in between the two of them. "How about we take a navy vessel and use that to sail out of here. Or at least try and leave at a better time. Right now, Ayane is keeping the Queen distracted so even if that ship where to rat us out it would take this sometime."

"As we speak and navy ship has ported here and it is said to be a fast one. I say we take this ship and disguise are selves as navy. We use this and escape with Loda, the dog and whatever else seems valuable." Desert wasn't to happy when Arc said he was stronger but for now didn't want to cause any conflict.

Desert looked at Kiva with a disappointed look. 'She is trying to hard to act strong.' Desert just sighed as he looked back out to the sea. "Alright, Loda keep your eyes on Syori. Nina come with me, we are going to go take over a navy ship." He smiled as he picked up Nina and ran towards one of the ships.
