"Heh, it seems so. Though I must say, you've revealed your hand a bit early haven't you? I was always weary that your Raichu might have Iron Tail in it's arsenal, but now I know it does for a fact." Mud Slap was a weak move anyway, Crenu didn't expect much from it. He was more curious about how Surge would handle it, and now he knew. That Iron Tail made for a good defensive move the way he used it, but if it managed to land a good strike on Swinub he would be in some serious trouble. Better to find that out now than later though, Swinub was lucky indeed. "Alright Swinub, Icy Wind. Let's see what the good Lieutenant reveals this time." He said with a condescending tone, he wondered if he could get Surge riled up, anger was a great tool to use against an opponent. But somehow Crenu didn't think it would be that easy, not against a seasoned gym leader and a survivor of war. Still, it was worth a shot. Swinub hopped back about a foot, staring at the confident Raichu as he inhaled a deep breath, releasing it as a mighty gust of air sparkling with ice particles. The wind was so cold that small ice patches started to appear on the gym floor in a line heading right for Raichu.

Kenneth listened intently, very interested in Riza's tale. When she finished he just smiled and looked back at the battle. "Hehehe, really? I wondered what happened to his arm. So you're the girl that I heard about, the one that helped get back those stolen pokemon. I asked him about the girl he'd been with on that day, but he just remained silent and denied the whole thing. But I'm surprised, you say he protected you and got hurt from it? I wouldn't expect that in a million years! Well, then again Shiro's hard to read sometimes. But the part about him leaving for Dewford without you sounds just like him." Ken added with a bit of laughter. "Never been one for that sort of thing, he's always been stubborn and closed off. But I think you're starting to get through to him. And I'm glad. But I doubt he'll ever really change...he's been through some rough times. Ah but that's not my story to tell. What happened when he left for Dewford though? I mean the way it sounds you two were hitting it off well until he split."

'I can not believe she let me be this late!' Sere thought as she started running through the streets. 'I mean okay, forgiven because of the awesomeness of the new pokemon, but come on Alex think of someone other than your self for a change.' She was sure if it wasn't for the anger she wouldn't have managed to give herself another boost to get to the dock. It didn't shock her to see that there wasn't even a line up out side the boat any more.

'Great, most of them have already gotten on this ship. Gah!! It's going to be so crowded!' Sere tried to focus on all the people that she had met in the last few days that were going to be on the ship. Anything to keep her brain from focusing on how much it was hurting to run through the town. Anything to keep her body from realizing that it really didn't have the air to run. 'Mind over matter...mind over matter....mind over matter...'

She was pretty sure she tossed the ticket at the guard as she made her way up the plat form. Sere was just moving too fast to be sure what was going on. It wasn't until she collided with an overly tall blonde lady.

"D-dammit." Sere cursed as her already damaged shoulder collided with the deck of the ship. The wood was nicely pollished but it still scraped against the tender skin on her burnt wrist. "I-I am sorry lady. J-just did-din't want to be late." Sere stuttered as she got to her feet.

The previous collision with the blue-haired woman had made Keegan loose sight of his quarry, and now the redhead was mired among a crowd of people. He still had yet to find anyone he knew and he was tired of being shoved and bumped into from all sides and he was quickly growing impatient and annoyed. He finally managed to break out of the mass of people and he looked around anxiously. Interestingly enough the first familiar person he saw was the blue-haired fellow that had crash-landed the Golbat just a short time before, and he had been battling his Pidgey against a rather obese-looking Wingull until a sailor had broken it up. The redhead frowned and continued his search, resisting the urge to just start dumping people overboard in order to make his task easier.

When he finally did spot Mai again, or at least the woman that he thought looked like her, she was standing in front of the camera, apparently giving a report. He stopped walking and sighed. Perhaps he was just imagining it - after all, there had to be more than one woman in the world with pale, blonde hair and curves like those. The redhead sighed and looked around, spotting Mitsu and Kilik together. They should still keep their eyes open, he thought, deciding to make his way over to them, but before he could take another step he was suddenly being flanked by two of the reporter woman's crew members. "Oh, uh, hey guys," he said nonchalantly, putting his hands behind his head. If these two had confronted him then perhaps it really was Mai after all. "Er, uh, lovely day for a cruise, isn't it?"

Kasiya looked around as it seemed like everyone who wanted on board had made it, and now the sailors seemed to be getting the ship ready to go. She glanced back down towards Keegan, but didn't see him. I guess he just left, she thought sadly. I'll have to call him again once things settle down. She looked back at Sasha, who was watching her with wide, attentive eyes, and she sighed, figuring that she had no choice but to continue the story.

"As soon as they discharged me, I went looking for answers. I met up with Mike's mom - real nice lady, by the way, a little quirky but real nice - and it seemed that she didn't like the idea of her son rotting away in a mental institution, so well, uh, we kinda worked out a plan to, um, let him escape..." She trailed off slightly as now it was her turn to look guilty. "Mike's mom managed to cause trouble with the security cameras and power and stuff and I distracted the guards. After that, he took off, and I really don't know where he went." She stopped there, sighing heavily. Until now, when she'd actually said it out loud, it was almost as if it had never happened, but now it felt as though it had just happened moments ago. Her heart was racing and her hands were trembling slightly and she steadied herself against the railing behind her, and stared at the wooden planks on the floor, not sure what else to say on the matter. She could hear Mike's voice echoing in her mind: Kass, I...well...I don't really know how to say this without sounding crazy. But, I had this...other person inside my head for a while. A terrible person, one that I thought I got rid of a long time ago. At first he was just in my head, but it seems whatever happened at the party allowed him to cross over, to control my body. I want you to promise me Kass: that if I start acting weird, even the slightest bit different, that you will get the hell away from me. From what you told me he did earlier, he will not hesitate to hurt you. She shivered despite the warmth of the sun beaming down on her, and even though the voice belonged to the kind and caring boy she'd always known him to be, the words still haunted her.

"I don't know where he went," she repeated slowly, looking up at Sasha, her expression one of utmost seriousness, "but I can say for a fact that he doesn't want us to find him. Not yet, anyway." She wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands again and continued to look into her friend's eyes. "I care for him as much as you do, Sasha, and I want nothing more than to find him and keep him safe, but if we go chasing after him now, we'll only push him away. I know it's difficult to hear, but after everything I've seen, everything I've been through, I think it's for the best."

Surge raised any eyebrow at Crenu's comments, and laughed again. Was this punk kid trying to get under his skin? It was far too early in the battle for it to even remotely work, and since he was usually the one tossing around the insults it was safe to say that he could take what he dished out. "Man, I really hate the the card metaphors," he sighed, shaking his head. Like he didn't hear enough of those when working for a certain Rocket boss. He didn't flinch when the fluffball began to breathe its Icy Wind towards Raichu. "Eh, kid stuff," the Lieutenant murmured, snapping his fingers sharply.

Raichu grit his teeth as he was hit by the arctic blast of wind, but his expression quickly changed back to a bit of a smirk. His cheeks flared with electricity and as quickly as his Master had snapped his fingers, the mouse split apart into half a dozen, and now they all leered impishly at the icy Pig Pokemon. Surge just smiled. The kid was cocky, but he reminded him of himself when he was younger. This battle would only get more interesting as each round progressed.

Cynthia looked towards Jason as he asked about entertainment. "If memory serves, there is an arena below deck where trainers can give their Pokemon some exercise. There are also many cabins on board for trainers to rest in. After all, we will be at sea until probably this time tomorrow," she said, nodding. "There is, of course, a mess hall as well, for people and Pokemon alike need to eat." She looked towards the two young men, and smiled. "We have quite a voyage ahead of us."

Mai let out a surprised gasp when the tiny girl bumped into her, and she quickly held out a hand to help her up. "Oh, no need to apologize, dear, this ship really is quite crowded," she replied, taking a moment to study the girl's features. I remember this one, she threw herself at the Kyoka kid and got herself hurt, she thought, looking down at the painful looking mark on her wrist. "My, my, that's a nasty looking mark you've got there," she said, her voice overflowing with feigned concern. "You must be careful, this world can be a dangerous place." She bid the tiny girl farewell and she and her cameraman made their way towards a staircase leading up towards the cabins that would serve as rest areas for the trainers.

Meanwhile, the two Rockets had closed in on the redhead and had now managed to stop him. The two exchanged an understanding glance before they looked back at him again. "Why yes sir, quite lovely," the female Rocket, Dana, said with a light smile.

The second crew member and Rocket - named Jensen - smiled as well. "Our anchorwoman would like a word with you," he said, placing a hand on the redhead's shoulder. "How would you like to be featured in an interview?"

"Yes, it's one to die for," Dana said, her tone playful. "Trust me, this is one offer you do not want to refuse." They both grabbed hold of his elbows and began to lead him towards Mai and Serenity. "Also, you might not want to cause a disturbance, as it would end quite badly for you," Dana said in a hushed whisper.

Jaeshan couldn't help but look over at Riza as she explained the story of how she and Crenu met, and he smiled a bit. Seems that the stone-cold Crenu wasn't so stoic after all. He glanced at Ken next, listening to what he had to say. He also knew what had happened before Crenu rushed off to Dewford as they'd taken the same ferry to get there, but he wasn't about to say anything, for it wasn't his place and instead he tried to focus on the battle. That didn't work either, however, as he found himself thinking about how he'd handle his own upcoming match with Erika in Celadon City.

Riza frowned a bit when Ken spoke of Crenu in that way. He'd never really change? What did he mean by rough times? She looked out across the battlefield at him and sighed. There was a lot more going on with him than she had initially thought. She cleared her throat and looked back to Ken. "Well, that guy we were talking about earlier? Keegan? Well, I don't think Crenu likes him so much, and I think that's because we went to lunch together. I mean, Crenu doesn't seem like the jealous type but he did seem pretty miffed. And besides, I'd already agreed to do the lunch thing and I couldn't just say no like that." She closed her eyes and shook her head. Had she turned Keegan down then she knew he would have done something similar. They were very much alike even though neither of them would ever admit it in a million years.

Seraphim winced as the sands continued to bite into her body but she stood strong against it. She didn't like these conditions one bit but she wasn't about to let Katie down now. She may have still been quite new to the team but she knew she was already a vital part of it. When the Cranidos came charging forward she tensed up, raising up her roses as she prepared for Katie's next command.

'Good, good, I figured they'd have to attack head on, no pun intended,' Katie thought, nodding. She glanced at Seraphim, knowing that the Roselia was still quite energetic after having drained it from the Onix, and she didn't want to go this way but sometimes sacrifices had to be made. She adjusted the goggle straps slightly and grit her teeth. "Hold your ground, Seraph," she said. "And give him a taste of your stun spore."

The flower nodded and narrowed her eyes. She waited until she could practically see her reflection in Crandios' eyes before she unleashed a cloud of golden yellow spores right into the ancient Pokemon's face, though it did come at the cost of her being toppled like a bowling pin. The hit was a strong one and Seraphim hit the ground hard, but shakily she got back up to her feet again. Katie silently promised herself that if she won this battle she'd spoil the flower rotten for her bravery in this battle.

"Kid Stuff? Now you're just trying to hurt my feelings." Crenu said plainly, it seemed like Surge wasn't going to bite. But that wasn't any reason to stop just yet. Both he and Swinub watched as Raichu took the Icy Wind head on and came out seemingly unscathed, splitting apart into half a dozen copies. Raichu was leering at Swinub trying to look menacing, and it almost worked. But both trainer and pokemon already had the same thing in mind, Swinub remained unbothered as e concentrated on the floor in front of him. "Come on Surge this battle isn't going to be won by tricks, stop messing around or I'm just gonna quit from boredom. Swinub, Odor Sleuth. Don't lose your opponent, even for a second." The Pig Pokemon was way ahead of Crenu, sniffing the ground carefully, his sense of smell expanding across the gym taking in every smell and committing it to his memory. Crenu, Surge, Kenneth, Froslass, the other two trainers he didn't quite know, and more importantly Raichu. Raichu's scent was all over from the last battle, and it was a little difficult to pinpoint at first, but the biggest concentration of smell came from one of the copies, the origin of the very odor. Double Team might fool the eyes, but copies are nothing more than illusions, they have no scent. Swinub happily jumped up having located Raichu and grunted cutely, but Crenu ignored that part. "Well? I'm waiting. I didn't want to win right away but I don't have all day either."

"Heh heh, no I suppose not. One must always keep their appointments. But jealousy? Really? That's really uncharacteristic of him, you must have made some impression on him honey. Im sure he'd try and rationalize it if asked about it, though that's something knew to be honest. He didn't use to try and break this down that much, Im a bit worried about him actually." Ken voice trailed off as he watched the battle, more so Crenu. He'd changed alright, not much but the subtle changes in his personality weren't good ones. "He's never really liked anyone before, let alone liked liked anyone...at least I don't think so. He must have thought you and Keegan had some sort of relationship so naturally it pissed him off, someone who he actually liked like that with some other guy I'm sure he didn't know what to think other than to deny everything and split. Oh but I don't blame you honey, smart as he is he's pretty foolish sometimes. I feel I should warn you honey, don't expect to much from him. He's a good guy no doubt, but...he's to caught up with the past. You're lucky to have gotten as close as you have, then again maybe not. Who knows. Heh, I'm almost afraid to tell him what I really tracked him down for. If he's like this now...I can't imagine how he'd handle that news..." Ken usually sunny persona suddenly changed as he thought about it, looking down at the ground and frowning a bit. This was troublesome indeed, Crenu having become the way he is now. Ken was hoping that by now he would have cheered up a bit and moved on. But he's only gotten worse it seems. Ken wondered if he should even tell him anymore, but Crenu was going to have to find out at one point or another. Well, he'd become so apathetic that maybe he wouldn't even care. Then it would be easy to tell him and Ken wouldn't have to worry...how he wished that were the case, as messed up as that sounded.

Keegan couldn't quite explain the strange muddled feeling that overcame him, nor could he explain the sudden urge to comply with the two Rockets as they took him by the elbows and began to lead him towards their boss. "Uh, yeah, okay, sounds good," he said, at this point only vaguely aware that something was wrong. Even his vision was somewhat clouded, as though he were looking through water. By now he'd also lost sight of Kilik and Mitsu, but for some odd reason he couldn't recall why he wanted to talk to them in the first place. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Dante and that strange woman from yesterday, as well as the narcoleptic kid and what appeared to be a baby Onix. He wanted to call out to them but it was like there was a lock on his mind preventing him from doing so. Normally it would have struck him as very strange but he didn't question it and instead just walked quietly and calmly in the direction he was being led. When he saw Mai again, the first thing he realized was that it wasn't really Mai at all, just some woman who looked like her from a distance. He attempted to mumble some sort of apology but it came out as jumbled up gibberish and instead he found himself wearing a dopey smile and looking into the woman's icy-blue eyes. "Hi," he said, still grinning like an idiot.

Miharu got up off the rock she'd been sitting on to stretch her legs for a moment as Starrie the Starmie and Lily the Bulbasaur prepared to start their training session against each other. The faceless Starmie appeared to be quite confident, while on the other hand, the Seed Pokemon was looking quite the opposite. Lily had never been the biggest fan of battling, and though she was of the grass type and Starrie was of the water type, she couldn't help but feel nervous. She hadn't seen too much of the newly-evolved Starmie in action, and she wasn't overly anxious to see it now. Besides, Starrie was also part psychic type now and that meant a weakness for the Bulbasaur. "Try to relax, Lily," Miharu said, nodding to the Pokemon. "This isn't an actual battle, it's training. Just do your best."

The Bulbasaur nodded and looked back to the purple, star-shaped Pokemon. She knew there had been a lot of training going on with her teammates over the last few days and she couldn't help but notice that she hadn't really been a part of it. Was it because of her aversion to battling? Or did Miharu just think she was weak? That thought alone was enough to spur the Bulbasaur into taking the first attack, and she sent out a volley of razor sharp leaves in doing so.

Miharu had decided to take a back seat for this battle and she stood quietly nearby, Tingle hovering just behind her. When Lily unleashed a Razor Leaf she smiled - it wasn't like the Bulbasaur to act so rashly. Starrie, meanwhile, remained calm and collected as the leaves cut through the air, and with some time to spare it then took aim and let fly an Ice Beam. It sped through the air, striking each of the leaves and encasing them in a solid coating of ice. This new weight caused them to drop down into the sand harmlessly, and the Starmie retreated back to its starting position, ready for the next round.

Sasha looked down to the floor as well after hearing Kasiya's story. "I know that bringing him back right now would be a bad idea," she said sullenly. "But it doesn't change the fact that I wish he were here, nice and safe with all of us. He's done such good for all of us, and now everyone has completely abandoned him..." Sasha leaned forward and gave her friend a gentle hug. "Everyone but you, Kas. Thank you." she choked back a few tears. She figured from the beginning that Mike wouldn't want to be found. He had just lost his whole world at the beach party, all his friends, his girlfriend, all gone in an instant. Sasha just wanted to be there for him, to give him an ear and a shoulder, just like Kasiya was right now.

"Hey," the girl said with a weak smile. "Let's try to have some fun on this cruise okay? Wanna go tanning and give these sailor hunks something to look at?" Mademoiselle Beauchamp smiled through her tears, nodding her head to the still unoccupied chairs by the pool.

Kasiya smiled weakly and nodded. "I would have followed him to the ends of the earth if he would have allowed it," she said quietly. "I mean, I know he's made mistakes in the past, and big ones at that, but that doesn't mean that he's not a good person. Even good people make mistakes." Her head had started to ache and she winced as the ship's mighty foghorn blared loudly, and she looked towards the docks. The sailors had since raised the boarding ramp and now they were making final preparations for the ship's departure. She looked over at Sasha as she suggested fun, and nodded. "Something to look at? What do you mean by that?" she asked, tilting her head a little.

"Why hello there," Mai replied, grinning right back at the redhead, and she nodded at her two grunts. "I see you've found our next interview subject," she said calmly. Hmm, Jensen certainly has quite an extraordinary ability, doesn't he? she thought, nodding. When he'd first approached her saying that he'd be an excellent asset on this mission she'd been leery, but now she was definitely glad she'd allowed it. His psychic abilities didn't allow him to actually control other peoples' minds or force them to bend to his will, but he did have the ability to plant powerful hypnotic suggestions in his target's mind, so long as they weren't dangerous or completely opposed to the target's nature. "Shall we move this little gathering to some place more, private?" she asked, looking from Jensen to the redhead and then back to Jensen again.

"Yes, we should," Jensen nodded, looking to Keegan. "Would you be so kind as to lead the way, my friend?"

Surge's expression didn't change even after Swinub executed his Odor Sleuth as he continued to stand there, looking quite untroubled by the effective counter though he hadn't expected Crenu to be so quick to negate its effects. Raichu, on the other hand, was still leering at the Swinub dauntingly, and though his clones had been rendered ineffective they were all still there, leering right along with their creator. "Mega Punch," the gym leader ordered sharply, having quickly realized that Crenu was trying to rattle him with his condescending comments. If he thinks he can get through to me so easily, then he's in for a shock, Ground-type or not, the Lieutenant thought with a light smirk.

Finally, some real action! thought Raichu as he raced forward, still significantly speedier than Swinub even after the Icy Wind. His paw began to shine with that brilliant, white energy and he swung his mighty fist in an uppercut-like motion. It had taken a lot of extra training with Surge to get this move perfected and it was easily his favourite technique to use in battle.

Jaeshan, now only half-listening to the conversation between Ken and Riza, leaned forward as he heard the call for a Mega Punch. From what he'd just read in his PokeDex, Swinub weren't the most agile of Pokemon nor were they packing a lot of stamina and he silently wondered how Crenu would get through this. Surge can't be too impressed with the way he's being talked to either, he mused, frowning. There was a difference between confidence and flat-out rudeness and disrespect and he didn't think Surge would put up with it for much longer. He did throw that Kilik kid out of the gym for similar behavior so Crenu better watch his mouth, the blond thought grimly.

A switch flipped in Sasha's head when she saw Kasiya tilt her head. It was so innocent, so naive, so adorable. "Huhhuhhuh!" she shuddered pleasurably, a faint trickle of drool dropped down to her chin. Her friend's conservative outfit, which highlighted her slender little arms and legs while still hiding the rest away from the world only made her more convinced that the very world she hid herself from was the very thing she should show herself to! Sasha had gotten a glimpse or two at her blond haired friend in her cute little bathing suit back at the party but that wasn't enough, she needed to see it again! Just once! All she wanted was to see her cute little Kas walking around, the slightest of pink on her cheeks as boys and men stare at her petite figure. Oh! It was almost too much to think about. Sasha's legs quaked as she held on to her friend for support. Her eyes nearly rolled back into her head.

"Oh!" the girl snapped out of her fantastic daydream, wiping the dribble off of her cheek. "How unfitting of a lady of my stature." she said mostly to herself, her voice lacking any sort of sincerity. "Hm-hm!" Sasha loosed a sweet little giggle, and took another look at her bewildered friend. Visions of the red cheeked Kasiya began to flood her mind again. "Ah! I can't take it anymore! You're coming with me!" she grabbed Kas's arm and ripped her from the guardrail, dragging her to the changing room. "Now, this isn't the first cruise ship I've been on, so I think the changing rooms should be riiight, here!" Sasha banged a hard right down the long hallway past the dining hall. Sure enough, there it was. "Come on!" Sasha said with an excited tug, pulling poor Kas into the dressing chamber.

Riza felt a chill creep through her as Ken's voice and demeanor changed. His words kept ringing in her mind and she didn't like the way it made her feel. 'Don't expect too much from him,' she thought, looking down at the snoozing Cyndaquil in her lap. 'Lucky to have gotten as close as I have...'

She looked up as the Raichu raced across the field, fist glowing brightly. She felt quite confused as Crenu's actions and Kenneth's words were quite contradictory. That, and she didn't know what kind of news Ken needed to tell Crenu but she could tell that it was not of the good variety. 'Why do I keep liking the disturbed guys?' she thought, frowning. 'Between him and that stupid redhead I really know how to pick 'em.'

The gentle chirping of her Blackberry snapped her out of her annoyed thoughts and she took it out of her bag to see what was up. She'd finally received a reply from Jaden and she sighed with relief. It seemed he'd taken off to do some special training out near Mount Silver and had turned off his phone. Riza quickly messaged him back telling him that she had some news, and at the end she asked him to call her so that she would have an excuse to leave. As expected her phone rang soon after and she stood up, cradling the Cyndaquil in one arm. "Um, I've gotta take this, excuse me," she said without waiting for an answer from either Jae or Ken, and she quickly made her way out of the gym before she answering the call.

"Now that's more like it. Brace yourself Swinub, this one's gonna hurt. Get ready for a counter." Crenu watched as Raichu launched forward with a mighty fist ready to crush Swinub. He had to admit, he'd been asking for this from the beginning and it was only a matter of time until Surge would order a hit like this. The problem with being a ground type here was that Surge would have to rely on physical moves, and Raichu was evenly balanced in both. Not to mention that the moves he had were nothing to take lightly, Mega Punch and iron Tail were some seriously hard hitting attacks and Swinub wouldn't be able to take more than a few. Swinub did as told, he knew very well that this Raichu was still to fast for him to easily dodge. Tightening all his muscles and gripping the ground as best he could Swinub was prepared. "Jump now!" Just as Raichu's uppercut was to make contact Swinub kicked off the ground, taking the punch directly and using it to lift himself up high. Even though his jump helped mitigate the hit he still felt a sharp pain radiating from the spot where the Mega Punch hit and he cried out. But Swinub hadn't taken any damage yet and was feeling alright if not a bit sore, correcting himself in the air and pointing directly downward at Raichu. "Mud Slap, and make it a good one." Swinub was locked on to the real Raichu still tracking it's scent as he spewed out more blinding mud and raining it down aiming for the Mouse Pokemon's eyes.

For a moment or so Keegan just looked blankly at the Rocket called Jensen, wondering why his words seemed oh so very agreeable. "Uh, yeah, sure," he said, shrugging. He glanced towards the stairs and started walking in that direction. The ship's horn sounded loudly and he looked up at it in a confused manner before heading up the first stair. "Is there a ship nearby?" he asked, no longer aware of where he was, or why. "I don't like the ocean. It's too open. Too deep. Too dark," he mumbled to himself, watching his feet carefully as he made his way up the stairs, and even still he managed to stumble up and over the last one. Catching himself with a hand he stopped in his tracks as the semi-tumble had snapped him out of the strange trance he'd be put in, and he looked around with wide, bewildered eyes.

"What the hell, where am I?" he asked, pivoting quickly and finding himself practically face-to-face with Mai. "I was right! It is, you," he said accusingly, though the violation of his mind had left him feeling slightly weak and a bit light-headed. "Ugh, I gotta get off this ship, get out of my way," he grumbled, holding his head in his hands. I feel kinda hung over, what the hell did that b***h to do me? he thought angrily, though the anger only made him feel dizzier.

For a few moments Lily just stared at the frozen leaves sticking out of the sand, eyes wide with surprise. She hadn't expected her attack to be so easily stopped and it really rattled her. While the Bulbasaur was busy thinking, Starrie had taken the initiative and launched another attack; this time a barrage of golden Swift stars. Miharu winced as the first volley scored a direct hit on the Seed Pokemon, and as she looked towards the Starmie she could tell it was about to fire again. "Lily! Use your Vine Whip to deflect," she called.

Snapping out of her daze, Lily nodded and looked towards the Starmie as it loosed another stream of golden stars. She didn't stand idly by and let herself be hit this time, as instead she lashed out with her vines, the sound of breaking glass echoing through the area as she smashed the oncoming stars with incredible accuracy. Golden shards rained down around her as a result, making her look quite elegant as she retracted her vines and glared at the Starmie, daring it to attack again.

"That was impressive," Miharu smiled to herself. Lily had always been more of a diva than a fighter but the Bulbasaur could pull off some good moves when she put her mind to it. "Keep at it, you two, you're doing great," she called out.

Kasiya could only blink in confusion as she watched her friend seemingly lose herself inside a daydream, and for a moment or so Kasiya seriously considered calling 911 as she was quite convinced that Sasha was having a seizure. Her hand had been inching towards her PokeNav when Sasha snapped out of her daydream - and it must have been a good one, judging by the bit of drool on her chin - and she sighed with relief. She wasn't so sure that she could cope with one of her friends randomly getting sick after everything else that had happened. She didn't get much of a chance to think about it though as suddenly Sasha had grabbed her arm and was yanking her away, and Kasiya quickly glanced back towards the railing to make sure her arm hadn't been left behind by the sudden upheaval. "Uh, where are we going?" she managed to squeak out as the surprisingly strong Sasha dragged her along, and after several (mildly painful) twists and turns they'd arrived at their destination. Kasiya frowned as she was pulled inside the room. A simple 'Follow me' would have sufficed, Kasiya thought, rubbing her sore shoulder as she looked around. Then, the reality of the situation began to sink in. "Wait, no way, I'm not putting on my bating suit when there are so may people around!" she protested, backing away from the overly-excited pink-haired girl. Her cheeks had already turned pink from embarrassment and she quickly glanced around the room, looking for escape routes.

"Ooh, well don't we think we're mighty clever?" Mai chuckled mockingly upon seeing that the redhead had regained his senses again, and it wouldn't be as easy for Jensen to work his mojo on him again so soon. Even still, she had a backup plan as she had no intentions of letting him just walk away from this so easily. "Unfortunately, however, it's too late for you, Red. You're not going anywhere. Dana, if you would."

The female rocket stepped out from behind the larger cameraman holding a Pokeball in her hand. "It will be my pleasure." Her sinister smile mirrored Mai's and she clicked open the sphere. "Vileplume, Stun Spore."

"Pluuume! the flower Pokemon cried as it took shape, one large white dot prominent among many smaller ones on each of its petals marked it as a female. She lowered her head and sent out a paralyzing cloud of golden yellow powder toward the redhead.

"Wait until he hits the ground and clobber him with Iron Tail," Surge said calmly, figuring the pig Pokemon wouldn't be able to recover from the fall and scamper away in time. Raichu nodded, having heard the call from Crenu for another Mud-Slap from Swinub and he turned his head away quickly. The mud splattered against the back of his head and he shivered, feeling it trickling down his back. Ugh, he hated Ground-types and their icky moves! The mouse let out a sharp growl as his tail began to glow and he took a cutting swing at the Pig Pokemon, though the momentum of his attack caused some of the excess mud to slide down and into his face and once he'd followed through with his strike he began to paw at his eyes, trying to rid himself of the goop.

Jaeshan looked over at Riza as her phone rang and excused herself, and though he'd only been half paying attention to Ken and Riza's conversation he couldn't help but feel that something was up. He sighed and shook his head before looking back to the battle, but he was having difficulty focusing on it. What is going on with her? he thought, wringing his hands together. I thought she and Crenu really had something going there, guess maybe I was wrong...

It appeared that Raichu managed to avoid the shot of mud in it's eyes again, this was a troubling pokemon indeed. What's more Surge was taking this opportunity to use Iron Tail, a devastating move in general even when not against an Ice or Rock type, on the slower and somewhat helpless Swinub as he fell. Swinub couldn't take this hit, not yet. Not if he had any hopes of securing this victory as he had claimed he would. There was only a few seconds to think as Swinub came down and hit the floor while Raichu's Iron Tail came down, but that was enough for Crenu to fire off some scenarios. There was so little he could really do right now, especially with to physical moves other than tackle. He could try to use Tackle to fight against the Iron Tail but the power difference in attacks was to great, Swinub would be walking right into a death blow if he did that. "Icy Wind, strongest gust you have on that tail." The very moment Swinub's little feet touched the ground he looked right up at the glowing tail, blowing out the frosty blast of air until his small lungs were empty, concentrating it as best he could on the very small surface area of the tail. Raichu's Iron Tail cut through the Icy Wind easily but with a very last huff and probably due to Raichu pawing at his eyes Swinub managed to blow the attack slightly to the side, causing it to hit Swinub's side and cut down at an angle, avoiding the direct hit. But direct hit or not Swinub squealed from the severe pain he felt running down his side and rolling over a few times trying to get it to stop. "That was close, it could have been a lot worse. Get it together Swinub, we're not through yet." He looked down the field at Raichu who'd managed to get the mud in his eyes after all and then at Surge, still smirking a bit. "You almost had me there. Looks like things are finally starting to pick up eh Lieutenant? This is way past fun now, it's just plain damn exciting."
