Laying in a cozy sunbeam, a youthful orange wolf was stretched out in full contentment. Usually pretty energetic, today felt like a day to linger and relax to her. Rosangela murmered happily as she fluttered her wings, watching the light play off of them. It was so quiet here... it was nice for a time, but she started yearning for the usual sound of others.

Today had not been a good day for Sirius. But then, what day was? He'd, thus far, caught one of his antennae on the beams beneath the stairs while he'd been trying to hide there... then later had somehow gotten a burr, presumably fallen from another's coat, stuck in a delicate spot between two of his tails. That had taken so much twisting and turning and careful grooming to get it out that he was now rather exhausted. All he wanted was a quiet nook with plenty of sunshine to soak in. This time of day usually resulted in some room or another being vacant, so he crept in.

Only to find it occupied. However, he'd already gotten all the way into the room and near the windows before he realized it. Stifling a gulp, he froze in place, hoping the brightly colored wolf hadn't noticed him. His multi-faceted eyes glittered brightly in the streaming sunlight, though his deep purple coat soaked it in like a living shadow. A bundle of contrasts, that was him.

Rosangela sighed at the silence and began humming to herself for the noise, then a little louder simply because it was fun. She didn't notice the new male's enterance. She swayed a bit, and started to roll when she did notice him, but only because the shine from his eyes against the shadows caught her attention. She let out a squeak of suprise and rolled back to her belly, smiling brightly. "Hi!" She yipped, before tilting her head. She couldn't hide her immediate interest in this stranger before her. She sat up to have a better view. He had antennea like her and her family! But his eyes... "Hi." She said again, calmer than before. "Who are you?"

He visibly flinched with her startlement, ducking his head and trying to tuck all his tails between his legs. Oh, he had been all for the potion at first. It had sounded like such an adventure! He had come to realize though that adventures never quite work out like the tales tell. His had become a nightmare.

Even while he and Talencia and the other Moonlits had been gone, he'd remained withdrawn, in the shadows, mortified every time someone drew back from him, or made a sick or sad face at his unusual condition. In short, he was positively miserable.

Just when he was about to bolt from the room, however, the she-wolf's startlement turned to... interest? He paused in mid-turn, caught unawares by her lack of repulsion and disgust. He noticed she herself had a sort of alteration, with butterfly wings and... a different sort of antennae?

Feeling foolish and bumblefooted, he still rather cowered where he was, but didn't look ready to bolt anymore. "Uh... hi," he murmured, terribly self concious. "I'm Sirius." He nearly bit his tongue to keep from apologizing for bothering her. She had spoken first, hadn't she? "What's your name?" he ventured instead, wavering his gaze from the floor, to her, to the floor again.

Rosangela gave an apologetic half-smile seeing his flinch and tension. He's the one who snuck up on her, so why was he so... startled? Her smile warmed as he introduced himself. "Sirius..." She said, testing and etching his name into her mind.
"I'm Rosangela." She said, curling her tail around herself. "Are you new? You don't need to be afraid of me." She said, interpreting his continued nerves as him being uncomfortable around her wings. He wouldn't be the first one.
She so hoped he would stay. She wanted to know if he was like her, or if was he something entirely different. What made his eyes and antennea glow?

Her unintentional taunt of him not needing to be afraid of him made him stiffen. His tails twitched with irritation and mild outrage, and he stood taller. He actually was quite a large wolf, though skulking had made that somewhat moot. Now he stood to his full heigh, antennae slowly moving as his ears laid back slightly.

"I'm not afraid. Everyone is always afraid of me, not me of them." It was an odd sort of pride, and a confused mix of feelings. He wasn't proud of others being scared of him, but that he chose not to be scared of... well, anything. Cept mortification at the sideways way others looked at him. "Why should I be afraid of you when I look the way I do?" It was a kind of challenge to the strange and brightly colored she-wolf before him.

Somewhere in the back of his head he admitted that she was rather pretty, but he wasn't about to let this stranger know so. "And no, I'm not new. My family and I have just returned, is all." His set jaw and chin tipping up dared her to deny it. Nevermind that she had no real reason to. He was not feeling cowed, at least. It was na odd change to feel.

Rosangela pulled her head back slightly, a little suprised at his reaction. She shook her head quickly. "You just, you seemed nervous about something. But that's what I meant, you shouldn't be afraid. I thought maybe- the way you look doesn't matter with how I may look to you-" She stopped there and sighed. "Sorry if I offended you." She didn't want to make things worse.
But after the second look he gave her, like some kind of dare, she snorted sourly. "Well goodness! There's no need to get so huffy with me! I didn't mean anything by it." She pressed her lips together in irritation, looking off to the side. It'd been, what, two minutes?! And they were already argueing! She lowered her eyes, wondering what she should do, the tightness around her mouth already easing away.

Well now he'd put his paw in it. Truth was, he'd gotten so used to the world beyond the safety of this familiar old house, he'd forgotten how welcoming and kindly the other Moonlits could be. He let out his breath in a heavy huff and padded slowly forward, further into the light.

"I am sorry," he began, almost mumbling the apology. "My owner gave me some potion a long time ago, and this is what happened. It doesn't bother her, and doesn't bother me, but it seems to bother people who aren't used to seeing a woman with a purple wolf at her side." His multi-tails slowly began to wag, all at different rates, as he raised his eyes hopefully. "Rosangela is an unusual name. Tell me about you?"

It was a valiant effort on his part to relax and let go the anger and shame of having to skulk out in the big wide world. To further show his contrite attitude, he lowered himself to the floor to lay, paws crossed, looking up at her with those bright green eyes, his coat shining like rolling shadows illuminated by the warm late summer sun.

Rosangela turned her head back slowly to look at Sirius again. He seemed to mean the apology... and a little of her smile returned. Her eyes brightened in interest. 'A potion?!' She decided to ask about that later though, as the male continued on speaking.
She smiled at him and her tail lightly tapped the floor. "It means rose of angels. My dad thought of it." She said proudly. "And- er..." She paused, her mouth twitching into a slight pout. What was she supposed to say about herself?
"Well, I didn't take any potions. My mother has wings too, so I inherited them and the antennas from her. Both of my brothers and my sister have them too. And I also know what it's like to be looked at as odd." She sighed, then lowered herself to the floor also, so that she could look right at Sirius instead of down at him. She reached out with a paw, touched it to one of his for a second, and pulled it back with a small smile.
"And, just to warn you, I've been told I have too much energy for my own good. Once we stop this back and forth nonsense, I might drive you crazy. Ask my brother, and some other wolves I know." She said this playfully enough, but a slight droop of her ears and eyes showed she was being partially serious. She didn't want to run him off in the middle of having fun or anything, so best to warn him now before she could start really enjoying his company.

Wolfie plowed through the room, unaware of the others that consumed the space. She was intent on a stack of papers in her hands, muttering to herself, deep in thought. Only once did she trip on the rug in front of the stone fireplace. Drat that thing! She quickly thought, promising herself that one day she would put rug tape beneath it to secure its resting place. Wolfie regained her sense of urgancy and swiveled on her heels in the opposite direction once again, only to change her mind and return to the center of the room. She stopped for a moment, eyebrows tight with intense concentration. "If I were to..." She spoke softly. "... and then we could..." She muttered more inaudibly, even for the moonlits to hear. This really was the test of truth! "...which would mean that the Duos..." Wolfie continued to talk herself through the gruntwork for a few moments more before her eyes caught the shifting of Talencia through the doorway to the hall. "TAL!" She screeched. "I think I'm onto something!"

Sirius watched in surprise as the other wolf reached out to touch him, even just briefly... on purpose! His tails stood straight and still in mild shock, and he would have blinked in surprise if his buggy eyes had had lids. Mentally he nudged himself out of the stupor though to answer her. "I probably won't mind," he began, just as Wolfie came striding in.

Startled yet again, nerves beginning to fray slightly under all the unexpectedness going on, he scrambled to his paws and scuttled backwards out of the way. Once more a shadow among shadows, his eyes glittering brightly, heart thumping madly, he scolded himself for being a fraidy cat. It was just Wolfie! Wolfie had been nothing but kind to him!

Tails drooping apologetically, he padded closer to the pacing figure and licked her hand gently as she passed.

Everything upstaris was finally settled and in its proper place. It had taken some doing, but she felt the room was cheerful and welcoming once more. In some ways it felt odd to come back after being gone so long. She would reveal it to noone, not even Wolfie, but part of her wondered if she belonged here any more. What if they had moved on and didn't need or want her? Or what if she somehow just didn't feel comfy here again? She did her best to quell these doubts and worries, but they continually stirred in the back of her mind.

Right now she was hunting for Sirius. Among all her wolves, he was the one she worried about most. Being away from the house and forest had been a negative thing for him. The outside world could be cruel and harsh, and didn't accept anomalies well. He had suffered much indignity and unkindness, and she was concerned on how he was adjusting to being back. She had just clattered down the stairs when she heard Wolfie screech for her.

Spinning around, she bounded into the room, looking faintly puzzled. "What sort of something?" she inquired as she came up alongside her friend, giving her a greeting squeeze. Her eyes roved across the papers in wolfie's hands, faintly recognizing it. "Oooooh, that sort of something." She flicked her gaze up at the two Moonlits in the room and smiled. "Found a friend, have you Sirius?"

Wolfie smiled wildly at her friend. "I think I finally have an understanding of this place, and its exisitance. I know why Aunt Bea didnt want this whole place to go to an estate sale." She babbled, the papers moving as she spoke through the air, allowing Talencia to glance only briefly at her scrawled notes. "The stuff here..." She began. "The Moonlits here..." Wolfie corrected herself. "They are all much to valuable. Bea and Edmund and Tom have all left so many clues for me, for us." Wolfie shoved the notepad that dangled from the bottom of the stack to her friend. "They want us to understand things." Wolfie bent down and one swoosh wrapped her arms around Sirius's neck and huggled him in a fantastic swinging motion. "They all had been onto something and it is out responsibility to finish what they started!"

She let him go of the unstable moonlit and plopped onto the couch, sending Spud flying out from under the tiny space. He had doned this space as 'his' long ago, but often others, especially the puppies who could fit there, challenged him for it. He scambled across the floor, sliding into the stone fireplace and then off between Talencia's legs in hunt for a quieter, safer hiding place. "You see Tal, Ive been doing a lot of thinking lately. Aunt Bea was a wonderful woman. At first, I was devestated so deeply by her death that I dont think any of this really occured to me. I worked blindly here within the building feeling as if I was just another occupant. We've been here nearly three years now." She continued. "And now, Its like Ive awoken from a dream." Wolfie gushed as she tossed the rest of the paperwork on the couch beside her. "And I see that this is where I was meant to be. This IS home."

Blue walked in from the front door. She was coming to visit everyone since she now lived out in the woods in a cabin she found. She spotted Wolfie and Tal and smiled. She caught the end of Wolfie's little speech and nodded. "Of course this is home Wolfie." She said walking over to her, "Even though I don't live here in the mansion I still think of it as home." She waved at Tal. "Hey Tal. Good to see that you're back. Hasn't been quite the same without you."

Eros followed Blue inside and looked around. It didn't look like there were many moonlits hanging around like they used to. He watched as Spud scrambled around and tilted his head. He then turned to the humans and listened to their conversation.

Rosangela flashed a large yet bashful smile at Sirius, then jumped up quickly with a yelp when Wolfie swooped in. She didn't know this human well, having only seen her around the shop, but her owner was a friend, so she wagged her tail in greeting. When another female human came in, Rosangela started walking backward to where Sirius had just vacated, perking her ears up though when the human addressed Sirius.
Her eyes widened as more humans and wolves appeared, and she backed further into the shadowy space. Normally a social wolf, she suddenly felt nervous around the appearance of so many that she didn't know. Would more be coming in? Had she missed an announcement or something? And.. She flicked her gaze over to Sirius, wondering what he would do now.
