You'll never expect what you can't see...
((To be honest, even I don't know where Par'il is going yet. I kinda gave the characters free reign in the last few posts.))
Dark was determined to catch up with her. Suddenly, a poll came flying at him. The last thing he expected was to be ambushed by the pursued - especially her. He didn't have time to react well enough. He began to pull out the katana, but paused, holding back. The staff smashed into his face. Many thoughts and questions rushed through his mind. As if in slow motion, he was lifted off the ground and thrown backwards from the impact. 'She... intended to kill?' He smacked into the trunk of a tree. The katana had fallen out of its sheath, still firmly grasped in Dark's hand. The mask fell, revealing a darkened face. He grinned eerily, "So you finally decided to fight..." It was obvious Dark wasn't himself...

Meanwhile back at the arena, Stardust looked around as she sat near the entrance, whining a bit in concern. *Mira, where's Kayla and Isaac?* she sent in worry. *They went to the lounge.* Mira sent back in reply. Stardust stood up and slowly walked towards Kayla's room. *Hey, wait up!* Mira sent to Stardust, flying just quick enough to keep up with the female wolf. Mira used her magic to open the door to Kayla's room for Stardust as she laid down in a corner near the end of the bed and rested. Mira then used her magic to close the door once again, heading towards the lounge just in time to see Kayla and Isaac still at the table. "Oh there you are Mira! Where were you?" Kayla asked her fairy partner. "Stardust was a little worried about you both. I told her you were here spending some time together. I let her rest in your room for a while Kayla. She seemed to be acting a bit odd." Mira explained. Kayla gave Mira a curious look. "I wonder why she's acting that way." Isaac said questioningly. "I guess we'll find out sometime." Kayla said in reply. Isaac simply nodded in reply.

Graff searches for meats in the storage "... I only have found salted meats, ah... there is, great, Im gonna cook some steaks for you and me, if the others come gonna have to wait, now just some charcoal and a grill..."

When Adeva realised whom she had struck, it was to late. She had hit Dark in the head. Her first thought was to drop the staff and rush to his side, but so many other thoughts raced through her mind that kept her in her spot. Then she saw the grin on his face. He frightened her a bit. She tensed her grip upon the staff a bit. She heard what he said and attempted to swallow down the fear that held her body. "I am doing... What is necessary... If fighting is what these people want... Then I will do it..."

Graff put the charcoal on the grill and start to try to fire it, "... just a moment... a moment..." at last the fire start on the charcoal, Graff washes his hands and start to put some spices on the steaks "... this are gonna be great... the others gonna be mad when they smell it... just wait..."

Dark stood up and slowly approached without getting in range of her weapon. "Interesting... Although... It won't be the first time I took out someone your age." He continued to grin. He seemed savage... simplistic... ruthless... Rising the katana, he shifted the weapon to point it at her. His voice was raspy, almost grunted, "It is strange... Someone your age not running from me. Just know... if you don't already regret attacking me..." He tilted his head back in a condescending manner, "You might not live long enough to do so." The smile hadn't left his strangely shadowed face. He chuckled only three times, then lunged forward - sword falling, aiming for her head.

Graff is busy cooking the steaks, the smoke rises from the grill filling the hall "... great... this will attract our friends... Miss Kayla, could you boil some potatoes?, this tasty steaks deserve a nice spoonful of mashed potatoes"

((Hey Onikuro-san, how come you haven't posted yet? I'm still waiting for you!))
"Sure Graff, I'd be glad to help." Kayla replied. She stood up and walked towards the kitchen, washing her hands before she began looking through the storage. Kayla found the supplies and started to wash, peel and prepare the potatoes the way her mother would've done. She then began cooking the potatoes in a small pot on the stove, along with some butter, milk, and a little bit of salt. Then she used the spoon to stir it all together. As she did, she hummed her mother's lullaby.
Isaac smiled as he watched his daughter in the kitchen. 'I'm glad to see Kayla's doing well.' he thought.

Shin-lu got up and smiled a bit as she patted Siom on the head. "There there. Maybe I'm just used to thinking that way." She giggled. Actually talking about her past occupation made her a bit nostalgic and she wondered if maybe she should ever write her adventures down. But whenever she got the mind to, she just got up and went on more adventures. Shin-lu put her hands behind her head as she looked back to see Ilyana leaving the arena. "Ilyana where are you going?" She asked.
Ilyana continued to walk like some sort of zombie. "I smell steak..."
Shin-lu laughed a bit as she looked at Siom. "You done training?"

Paraiimil was passing the lodges when the aroma of burning flesh of some animal filled the air. His nostrils flared. It smelled like the strange dishes the arena's cook had prepared a while back. He detested it. Par'il continued his path passed some bushes out into the forest's edge.
Siom looked to Ilyana as she walked in a strange manner from the Coliseum. He turned back to Shin-lu and nodded, "Yeah." He thought a moment, "Why? You thinking about doing something?"

"Hey Graff, shouldn't we make some extra in case the others want some too?" Kayla asked curiously. "Besides, I just don't think it would be fair to them." she said simply. Kayla decided to make some extra mashed potatoes just in case.
