"I never know with Edward." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I've fought man battles by his side, yet I still can't read him." *** Alice frowned. "He seems so sad." Her fingers twitched with the sudden urge to play her violin and she tensed. Twisting this way and that. "No." She said. "No. No. No. My violin...it's gone. Probably still at the construction site."

Edward found a training room and let out all his pent up emotions on a punching bag. *** "No you didn't Alice. I have it right here." Sam handed her the violin. "Thought it was important."

Alice let out a sigh, hugging Sam. "Thank you." She said. "You have no idea how grateful I am." She released Sam and held her violin tightly. It was her comfort object.

"Not a problem." Sam smiled at her, before turning towards Edward's direction, which he was yelling really loud.

Mimicry blinked. She hadn't expected yelling. "What the fu-" She whispered, following Edward's voice.

By the time Mim got half way to Edward, the body bag was off the chain, and in pieces. Edward then started on the speed bag. *** Sam sat down and looked around. "Too bad Al isn't here to see this."

Mim sighed, joining Sam on the ground. "Here I was, worried I'd have to knock some sense into him." She looked at Alice, who watched Edward rather solemnly. She couldn't help but feel alittle sad herself. For different reasons, of course. She looked down at the mark on her hand and smiled. "Rin." Mim sighed. "I miss him." She missed Gregory too. And Mina. And Gage.

"Give Edward some time, He just needs to work off his anger for losing Lanius." Sam looked over at Alice and said quietly. "not to mention the feelings you have for said Lanius, which Edward can feel though your bond with him. Though you should consider yourself lucky, he problem doesn't understand exactly what those feelings mean." *** Edward started running the border of the room, hoping that he could fatigue himself enough to forget about everything that happened.

"Good ol' self-loathing, Eddy." Mim said as she stretched across the floor. It had been a long day. "Atleast, we faced him. I have to say, Banshee was brilliant."

Edward walked out of the training room. "I am not self loathing, just training more so when the time comes, I can finish Lanius off once and for all." By this time, Edward is missing his bloody clothes, and is drenched with sweat. *** Sam aproached Edward. "Edward, I'm not sure what you are planning, but I want you to know that I am with you all the way. More or less, I was sent here to help you stop Lanius." *** Edward nodded then turned and walked down the hall a bit to a different room, where he decided he needed to clean up.

Mim just stayed where she was, staring at the ceiling. She didn't want to use Sergei's facilities, though she'd been offered. She just didn't feel like she'd earned such kindness. Mim had left them, everyone. Even Rin. *** Alice sighed and followed after Edward. They needed time together. Though her head was killing her, she knew she couldn't pass this by.

Edward was laying down when Alice came in. He moved over on the bed to give her room. "I've missed you."

"I missed you too, Edward." She said. It had been days since they'd been able to have a decent conversation and she missed that. She wasn't certain of her feelings for Lanius EXACTLY, but she was Edward's mate and she did know that she loved him. "Why did you take so long?" She whispered. *** Mim had moved herself from the floor and wandered the halls now, admiring the tapestries and portraits. "I hope Gregory gets here soon." She whispered, trying to ease the growing worry in the pit of her stomach. It was foolish of her, to leave him behind, but Sergei had taught Gregory well and Gregory did know how to take care of himself. But when your child died in your arms once, well, once was enough. "Don't think like that." She growled, chastising herself. "He's a strong child, my Gregory." *** Elsewhere, Gregory hadn't reached the mansion yet, but he could see it. And smiled. He hadn't changed much, but there were suttle changes. Such as, his white-blonde hair brushed his shoulders now. And he'd gotten stronger, capable of holding the sword Sergei had given him with one hand, rather than needing support with his second hand. "I'm almost home, father." He said, gazing down at the purple-black ring and quickening his pace.

Edward ran his fingers down the side of her face slowly. "I'm sorry it took so long. I had to go enlist help." Edward kissed her softly. "And I wanted to take Lanius out completely, once and for all. But I failed at that part, he got away. Did that monster do anything to you, other then what I seen?"

"Actually, he let me out of the dark and we discussed books and tea parties..." She smiled. "I didn't have my own violin, so he allowed me to choose one to play." Alice sighed and ran her fingers through her short black hair. "It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated, Edward." *** Mimicry finished walking the mansion. It was all beautiful. Another reason she didn't belong. She combed through her white-blonde hair with her scarred fingers, watching the curls spring into place. She was a vagabond and a warrior. Being surrounded with such luxury made her feel as though she didn't deserve it. "Your getting distracted again, Mim." She mumbled. "Focus on Lanius. He escaped our attack. And we need to convince Sergei that he isn't so nice. But how? If only Alice hadn't healed those head wounds. Then maybe..."
