"Well, Kakori don't even hit puberty," Zelda replied brightly, "So you have absolutely nothing to worry about." She smiled, then moved off in the direction Link had gone before, fairly skipping across the bride. The small, bright globe that was her fairy floated lazily after her.

"Wait what!" Link started but Zelda had already skipped off, "Alright Gus, time to come out," he spoke to the bottle. He pulled at the cork and after a few seconds, he heard the popping sound of the bottle opening. a second later, the yellow fairy emerged and Link began his chase after the Princess.

Zelda felt a bit odd; for one thing, she didn't skip, and hadn't even when she was small. It wasn't that she had anything in particular against it, she'd just never thought of doing it. It hadn't entered her head. She was also unsure as to why she hadn't reassured Link by telling him that, real as it was, his new form was just a complex illusion. Instead, she had teased him, and teased him in a way that suggested that she'd known him for a very long time, when she'd only known him for a few days.
Perhaps the spell had another layer she wasn't aware of.
Her thoughts were cut off as a child came into view, a red-headed Kakori with freckles and a petulant expression. She was surprised to find a smile already on her lips as she walked up to him. "Hello!" Mido... added a small voice in her head. "Mido..." she repeated, somewhat hesitantly.

'How did she know his name?' Link thought as he walked up behind her. Something definitely seemed off about the girl, she seemed... cheerier, less composed then usual, but perhaps she was simply a good actor. However, the boy in front of them did not look like he was acting, he looked like he had just seen a ghoust.
"Saria, but you you... it's been over thirty years," Mido paniced, his eyes just then noticing the boy behind her, "And you, you left..."
Link could hear the boy's stuttering and whispered in Zelda's ear, "I think we should go in now."

With a quick dive, Arryl thrusted along Sofia's shoulder, leaving a veritable papercut, albeit significantly more frightening. "Yes, I am in control. And you know the environment. It would go easier on you if you wouldn't fight back."
Hyn complied wordlessly. Squaring his shoulder, he slammed into it, making sure the heavy door would open. It swung open, to reveal a wide, tall entrance hall, lighted by four torches. They were a flight of steps up from the center. Across the way was another staircase, and on either side of the center was a tall balcony, out of reach. Hyn's eyes covered it all quickly; it had an odd ring of familiarity. He'd never been in, but...
Suddenly a gust of wind blew through the building. The four torches, each a different color, suddenly blew partially out, their light dimming. The walls and ceiling became shrouded in darkness, a darkness so thick it was almost like a fog, although it was hard to say it wasn't.
A voice wafted through the building, feminine, high and evil-sounding. It was laughing. Hyn glanced around. He'd be fine if he had his sword, but disarmed, this was creepy. The laughing abruptly stopped, and a stooped figure appeared near the center, standing within a strange covered platform. It spoke as the voice had but a moment before. "If you want the light, you'll have to fight for it!" It laughed for another moment, then stopped. "Oh, you're with Ganondorf. Very well." The figure moved towards them rapidly, except it wasn't walking. It was easy to tell, since the thing was about a foot off the ground.
As it drew closer, it straightened up, becoming a human woman's form. Well, if you ignore the translucency. The fires, newly alight, were clearly visible through the woman's partially exposed stomach. Her flesh was a tone of green, her hair another tone of much darker green and filled with leaves and twigs. Her dress was a very sort of classical affair, very loose and as such very folded. It appeared to have seen better days, though; it had any number of holes, varying widely in size and raggedness.
"I presume this is the Sage?" she asked with a grin. At least her teeth were perfect. "Good day, Your Sageliness," she added with a brief laugh. She was mocking him! "I can take it from here, if you wish," the spirit informed Nalani, cocking an eyebrow.

"This... is one of those few times I agree with you, Link..." Gus said, looking around... soon he quivered, and muttered, "I... sense that... something has awakened..."

Zelda nodded, then turned back to the other boy. "I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner, and I wish I had time to talk, but... You remember what happened last time, right?" She didn't wait for him to reply. "Well it's getting ready to start again, and if we hurry Link and I can stop it before it starts." She was inwardly a little shocked at the inflections in her voice; they weren't hers. Definitely another layer, then.
Sophia winced and automatically brought a hand up to cover the cut, but when her eyes came up, they were not frightened. They were furious. "You won't kill me. You need me for something, so don't insult my intelligence by pretending otherwise. I'm not telling you anything because I think it would be very satisfying to watch you burn. Deal with it."
Nalani was more than a little bit unnerved, and as usual, this made her angry. She was silent for several seconds, if only to get her fury under control; this woman was apparently expecting her, and in league with her commander, and in spite of the fact that a heads-up would have been nice, she couldn't risk offending an ally just because she was spooked.
Finally she spoke. "I do wish, actually, but that's not the issue. My secondary duty is to make sure that he remains unharmed. What are you planning on doing with him?"

((Yo ho, and a commandeerin' fool.))
"You're dead," Mido added, unable to find more words to describe the predicament. Then he did something down-right unexpected. Tilting over, he went into a faint, collapsing to the ground he stood upon.

"Zelda, where exactly did you see this girl again?" Link asked in confusion as he saw the kokiri on the the ground.

Zelda didn't reply immediately, instead she knelt next to the prone figure, checked his pulse, then sighed. "Well, that's one way to get by him, I suppose." She looked up at Link. "Sorry, what was that?"

"Nevermind, let's just get going," Link responded in his normal tone, although it sounded odd paired with the younger voice.

Zelda nodded and got to her feet. "Do you even know the way to the Forrest Temple?" she asked, her green eyes amused.

"Uh...." was all Link managed to get out before laughing nervously. But still something seemed to be on the edge of his memory, something in the stories his mother used to tell him. A tree, no not just a tree, the Great Deku Tree, "No, but I think I might know who will."
