Narrowing his eyes, he stared at her, not moving closer nor further. "I have long since learned that a pact can never be wisely made unless one knows all the details of it."

Deep within the northern crater, a lone figure stood, idly leaning back against the cold wall of earth that lined the shaft. A black glove slid through long, white bangs, brushing them aside before glowing mako eyes opened, staring balefully into the chasm that lead still deeper into the planet. The calming glow of the lifestream pulsed steadily as it flowed, but it did not even begin to silence the thoughts that filled the man's head. Stepping away from the wall, he shook his long coat, then brushed it free of the remaining dirt. Approaching the edge of the chasm, he narrowed his eyes before spitting a partially-uttered curse at the memory of all that had occurred here what was now a few years ago.

He did not seem to notice a small, cloaked figure as it silently crept its way up behind him, a rusted, jagged dagger in its hand. However, just when it had managed to enter within six feet of the man, he made a partial turn, the figure only catching a brief gleam in the dim lighting before its world became only pain, before fading to black.

Turning back toward the pit, Sephiroth held the masamune blade outward over the edge, a tonberry, head impaled on the blade, hung limp at the end. Giving the blade a swift flick, he watched as the body dropped, not even giving an echo of its impact.

His eyes now moving upward toward the sky, which could hardly be seen from this depth, he finally spoke. "I suppose, if she hasn't come back yet, she isn't going to bother trying." Quickly clipping the masamune to his waist, he lifted his arms out to either side. His body gave evidence of a sudden gust of wind, both hair and coat being whipped about. Floating a few inches away from the ground, he moved away from the edge, giving himself a clear shot toward the surface high above. Lowering his arms again, he shot upward, almost instantly both out from the cave and high above the snow-capped northern continent.

((If it's been paused for too long, it probably means it won't ever continue. Go ahead and extract your characters from there to use elsewhere. As they've been stuck there for so long, they could be elsewhere by now.))

(( Okay. Where is everyone though? I can just get them all to Midgar, Last I posted as Elena, wasn't she heading there too? ))

((GAH~! THIS IS SO CONFUSING~! We're literally in like 3-dimensions here...within Midgar...and I'm still trying to get caught up...I have the gist of it...but still...when are all the characters going to be realatively near? Or are we always going to have sectioned areas of Midgar, just curious, you know? 'Cause it would be cool if my character and the people I'm roleplaying with, could roleplay with other characters too, you know? So yeah...waiting on next post, 'cause I've posted, just waiting...on a reply...but yeah...as I wait...kinda wanted to get to understand things better...So please...inform me...I have all the current things caught up in my head...I think...but yeah...I WANT SOME ACTION~! *laughs*))
