Theory? Do tell.

Yes well, for the record? Open wings in Tornado? Bad idea. Realistically your Skarmory would have nearly, if not definitely, had her wings ripped clean off.

Like a kite I guess, but I figure birds use the thermal to rise above bad winds like that. I never see dead birds after an tornado hits.
Two things you're forgetting. One is the size of the birds. Two is that their seems a very good chance they flew far and away from the Tornado.

I guess .....you think all the birds fly away before a tornado touches down? I thought it would be like a car trying to drive away from one.

Animal Instinct. Like rats fleeing a ship, animals always know when something is wrong first. Tornado's don't simply drop down with absolutely no warning, the conditions have to be right to create the Tornado. The odds are birds would be able to tell a lot quicker then those bound to the ground.

I guess, but I have seen birds before a tornado too ....but, anyway .....I can only guess. I know nothing about birds.

umum, most birds, when "feeling" a thunder storm or tornado/hurricane/etc, (the animal instinct that was mentioned earlier, yeah. I just...it's not like magic, it's kind of how when you see black clouds and you know somethings up. They do that, but a lot better) will fly away until they're outside the radius of it. While they're suited to flying in the rain, flying while lighting strikes is a hazard, and hi-force winds can also harm them. If they don't flee, then they'll usually take cover someplace on the ground, like a bush. That's usually done by smaller birds, however, as larger birds know they can't hide as easily.

I, uh...I like birds.

Clearly, thank you however for the lesson!

Revealed during the Japan Expo, it's a Ghost/Steel, apparently! Japanese name of Hitotsuki, French name Monorpale. Has a LoZ thing going on, but that's not necessarily bad. If this guy's English name is not Excaliboo, I'm going to be very disappointed.

I am already disappointed ....why a sword?

I actually am hoping this one is a legendary or the very least not easily accessible.

I want it....and knowing that Jazz has a thing for both Steel and Ghosts....I believe she will as well upon seeing this. I also agree on that lovely, awful name.

Tigerveil

It probably is common, and it actually makes perfect sense. Possessed objects is actually a fairly common theme among Ghost-Type Pokemon, as it is among ghost's in japanese folklore. Look at the Litwick line as a prime example. Another good one is Shuppet and Banette. Yamask and Difloon as well.

Yes, and the others look very interesting and unique. Then we get the sword ...how many times have I seen a possess sword ...it's almost a given in any anime that makes a long run.

So, no, I am not happy about the stupid sword. It's a bit let down to me that they ran that route, ....but ...it's there now, so there is nothing I can do about it.

TELL ME IT HAS LEVITATE AND I WILL WORSHIP IT.

SERIOUSLY.

Steel slash ghost? Immune to its fighting weakness, evens out its ghost/dark weaknesses...

Give this thing levitate?

ONLY FIRE WILL PURIFY IT!!

...

Yes.

...

I am amiable to this.

You're putting too much thought into it and ruining it for yourself when you know nothing beyond it's appearance and typing.

I am not surprised on any level here. Neither does your avi.

I just kinda wish they did a little more with it. With the sheath on, it kinda looks like it had a smile on...

Ghosts can distort how an object looks, so it can't be too hard to design it with something more of a face.
That's my only issue with it.
