====Pandemona City, High above Midgar====

An elemental torrent detectable for miles around Midgar, centered at Pandemona City, signals the calling of the Palace of Balance. "VITA!" Xetrina's voice booms with elemental power, but is only heard by mages and elementals, the mortal portion of her voice being torn apart by the winds between Pandemona and Midgar. "Master of Life! Power of creation! Permit the summoning of the Tower of Life! As the time of summoning is now!" She calls out, as the elements of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth reach out towards Xetrina in the center, creating a shimmering light around her that quickly grows into a tall column. The column begins to widen to tremendous proportions as the Tower of Life is shaped. Upon reaching it's full width, the light solidifies with a brilliant flash, and in when the light fades, the Tower of Life stands in it's place.

Within the shield towers, a few Espardians dropped to the ground, and Terran grasped his forehead. "Damn, she's strong... Just like her father." He says with a smirk as he tunes out the pain. Getting up from his chair, he goes out to search for unshielded workers

====Midgar====

Galacia suddenly drops to the ground with a cry of pain as the elemental torrent ravages his highly attuned mind. "Son of a! What the hell is that?"

((Note, the effects of the torrent vary from person to person, though a mage would probably just detect it, where as an elemental, or magic-dependant being would feel pain. This excludes the Avatars though, as they're minds are far more powerful, and easily able to withstand such a torrent))

((Elementals are beings primarily composed of the Elements. As far as I know, there is only one, Zaxoth. But he's an Avatar, so he's immune to the pain. However, Espardians, of which there are many, all controlled by me, are magic-dependant, so they too, feel the pains))

Out beyond Midgar, Vai suddenly grabbed her head and began stamping her feet, screaming in pain. Dropping to the ground, she began to kick wildly, as the elements ravaged her unexpecting mind.

((Note, Vai is the ONLY spirit around that is vulnerable to the torrents, due to her being half-mortal))

((She would hear the voice, but would not feel the pain, as her mind doesn't function on the elements))

His attention having been directed, but largely immune to the effects of the elements being channeled toward Pandemona City, Zaxoth's eyes flared brightly, watching as the Palace of Balance was being forged. Standing a mile south of Midgar, having wandered off his path, he lifted a gauntleted hand toward the energy vortex. As he saw no reason to obstruct its formation, what he did served an entirely different purpose.

Rather than allowing the vortex to continue to sap at beings attuned to fire, he fed the vortex directly from himself, providing Xetrina with a stable, as well as willful, source of the element, and also relieving those whose lives were attuned to him.


A nearby twig snapped, catching his attention. "So you have no problem with one of them manipulating you?" A raven-haired man in a solid, black suit stepped toward Zaxoth from the corner of his vision.

Nodding, Zaxoth replied, "The user's efforts provide stability for us, providing us with a physical manifestation of our own home plane. Why did you not provide some form of objection, even though she called the wrong name when drawing upon you?"

Zonorous, dark eyes glancing in the direction of Pandemona, shrugged lightly before sighing. "This world has no need to be aware of my presence. Nor does it really require knowledge of yours, but you always were one for being...overly dramatic. Besides, whether she is aware of it or not, the advent of Balance in this world allows me to manifest even in broad daylight with far less effort on my part. After all, with a gap to my...greater portion..being so close, it makes it vastly simpler to focus. Would you not agree?"

Pausing to think over what had been said, Zaxoth nodded in assent. "It will be rather difficult getting used to..being able to manifest within opposition on this world.. I suppose that stems from having such a concentrated opposition nearby that would not otherwise be here? After all, true Balance would indicate that opposition being denied its normal functions in one area would denote that it is granted them elsewhere that it normally otherwise could not.. It will make things quite entertaining.. As for my sense of theatrics.." Lowering his arm, his task having been accomplished, he turned and looked squarely at the Other.

Zonorous' face was masked by false innocence. "What? Surely you do not seek to accuse me of enjoying a performance of my own every now and again.."

Narrowing his eyes for a brief instant, Zaxoth turned away before heading once more toward Midgar City. "Seek nothing. You were a royal pain in the a**."

Continuing toward Midgar alone, as Zonorous had vanished without another word, Zaxoth was not altogether unaware of Xetrina's approach. However, he continued on without hesitation, seeing no reason why she might even bother trying to attack him, as he had not obstructed her efforts, but merely redirected her source of Fire. Before she could fully reach him, he did pause, lifting a hand in greeting.

Tilting his head, Zaxoth arched an eyebrow in question. "Would it not make a better haven for Fire itself to be the source of a haven for those of Fire? Or a better method of balance for the origin of the towers to be from the elements themselves? All I did was realign things so that the Fire you were being fed came from the element directly, rather than sapping it from the beings aligned to it..it was causing quite a bit of duress, just so you know." He lowered the hand he had raised in greeting before asking again, "Would it not be best to have the tower of Me be sourced directly from Me?"
