yenyit Pistil Well that's good. So my ct scan came back fine. My blood tests too. So the conclusion as of now is that I have a viral infection affecting my inner ear (hence the vertigo). The doctor prescribed me medication that should help with the vertigo (I really hope so). He also said that it MIGHT be Meniere's disease, but probably not. Regardless, my medication came with a piece of paper describing the disease (because this is the medication that they usually give for it). I really hope I don't have it @.@ and the doctor before said it was a stomach infection..taht silly first doctor rofl ...what's Meniere's disease? o.o...*patpat* I know, they keep changing what it is stare Meniere's disease is a chronic disease with no cure. It's characterized by 'attacks' of vertigo, nausea, etc. with ringing in the ear and some hearing loss. Over time the hearing loss may become permanent. The disease usually only affects one ear but may spread to the other. There is no known cause for the disease but they believe stress, head trauma, history of ear infections, etc. may be a contributing factor (and I have all three!). Nearly every website I've read it on said something like "Meniere's disease is one of the most debilitating diseases that does not cause death. During the attacks the person is virtually at it's whim, and should warn family, friends, and coworkers about the disease so they know what to do during an attack and not panic. After each attack the sufferer usually feels tired and often goes to sleep for an extended period of time" <- explains my 13 hour sleeps lately.

Just popping in to ask a quick question of Vancouverites or anyone who has been to Vancouver: is it possible to see the Georgia Strait from Vancouver?
My friend and I are having a debate on whether you can or not. I say yes - because from the top floor of my school, there's this silver shining band of water in the horizon, to the southwest, where the Georgia Strait should be. He says that it's just the Fraser River...but we're on a hill, and the Fraser River is too close and too low to be seen. Richmond and Delta are so close to sea level that you should be able to see right over them to the Strait.
If you want, I can provide a photo.

Pistil yenyit Pistil The new place is nice. But I'm only here for another three weeks (then I'm done the one course I stayed in). I live with a man and her gf and her son who's 5. I basically get half the house to myself and just share the bathroom and kitchen. If my bf had moved here we would've gotten our own place. I'm not DROPPING out, I'm STEPPING out. I'm on the re-intake list for Winnipeg so that when I'm healthy again I can resume my education. No money wastage. And no academic penalties either. I'm not doing physio for my ankle. I'm not even going to the gym anymore. I am too sick to even climb a flight of stairs without being completely winded. The surgery SHOULD be free so long as it's a health issue (cosmetic is the only thing not really covered) - which it is because the doctor thinks it's an overgrowth of cartilage that's causing the problem. Right? "a man and her gf..."...hahaha rofl ...but it'd be a waste if he did move there because you only have 3 more weeks left o.o...yay for re-intake list and no penalites biggrin ...so..when's the free surgery gonna happen yo'? I know exactly how I messed that up too - since I still can't even think that sentence correctly - keep making that same mistake o.o Well that was before I realized I had to withdraw from school. I'm definitely glad it was a smooth exit - although I still have to talk to Education Manitoba and such. Haven't even had my MRI yet, so surgery is a LONG way away if it even happens because the man is femanine and/or the gf is masculine? xd ...welll fate worked out in the end it seems cool ...talk to education manitoba?...about transfering the stuff you've done?...well them waitlist lists do take forever you know sweatdrop

Education Manitoba was helping me out with affording school. The deal was they pay 50% of tuition, and when EI conks out they will pay for my living expense while in school. Well, the 50% tuition doesn't change since they bulk paid their part at the beginning. But I've got to see if they'll still cover living expense when I go back and a bunch of other stuff lol. And my doctor says it's a viral infection too. He said "They did everything right, and everything they could have. And in these situations when everything comes back clean, 90% of the time it's a viral infection" He gave me more of the prescription and some refills on it too just in case. But the dizziness is definitely slowing down. Finally.
