(ahh..well that would be my bad, I forgot about the pack completely..x__x I'll post this then try to edit my last few ones correctly.)
Andrea gritted her teeth at the comment as she stared sourly up at Pix: she knew he was right, but even so..it had been half on purpose and half on accident. She did want to see how strong he was but then the pack she had been wearing had thrown her off. If caused her to faulter to catch her balance and because of it she had rushed and made a bad move. Andrea was lucky that all she got was a kick and that Pix had been unarmed..her black bangs made it impossible to see her green eyes now. "Yes, sir.." she muttered reluctantly: Andrea hated that he was right, but she would make sure she wouldn't make the same mistake again.

Ryken relaxed his hand and dropped it back down to his side. He listened to Pix silently, and didn't move besides breathing. When Pix issued his challenge, he, at first, thought it was a dumb idea. After he thought about it for a moment, he realized that none of them had the skill to take Pix.
Regardless, he watched Andrea's charge, interested to see if she could prove Pix wrong. Her speed was commendable, but he noted that the pack threw her off. Pix easily repelled her, but Ryken smirked all the same. They definitely had potential, and now he was looking forward to training them.

Kai folded his arms in frustration, looking down at the ground.
His cheeks started to turn red as he felt ashamed... He hadn't expected to come off as such a coward.
Throwing all his emotions into his attack, he tried to throw Pix off guard with an attack out of nowhere.
He spun around, using his pack's momentum to propel him forward as he threw a dagger hard at Pix's chest. The head was too small a target. He winced slightly, he threw the dagger so hard his back popped slightly. He then kept going, seemingly chasing his own dagger as he wound his other sword up in his arm for a split-second follow-up slash.
He didn't know if it would work, but at least Pix would see he was no coward.

They were to rash, they came at him with complicated manuevers that simply did not allow any changes to be made, better simple quick movements that could be corrected at a moment's notice.
All he did was drop to the ground, the dagger would miss, and Kai's momentum would have him trip over Pix's prone body.
Hopefully the boy would have enough sense to not impale himself.

As Kai realized what Pix had done, he had started to trip. It was too late to correct the maneuver. In a split-second reaction Kai threw the sword out of the way so he wouldn't land on it and landed hard on his right shoulder and neck, yelling in pain.
Tanner once again winced, seeing Kai's botched attack.
Oh... I forgot to give him that present. I'll go get it.
Tanner ran back into the castle quickly and grabbed a long, thick burlap sack. He came back to where he was standing previously and held the package on his shoulder for the time being.
Kai rolled over onto his back and panted heavily. The fall had also knocked the air out of him.

He picked himself off the ground with haste, although his back protested. Staring at Kai he directed another small speech, "Simple and quicks moves will always beat out an all out charge that has no room for change, you must remember that boy. Charging at the enemy with no fallout plan is the way of a hero, and heroes die."
At that he directed his attention to the others, "What are you all doing mucking around! Get moving you apes!" he grinned to himself as a ripple of pain went across the joints in his knees.
I'm getting too ******** old for this.

He sighed and shook his head as he watched Kai hit the ground. "I swear you're all just trying to make this harder on me." As he said this he started rummaging through his medicine bag. He couldn't wait to get some extra help, but for now he was the only one able to do this. He hoped that no one else in the group would be dumb enough to try and attack Pix too. He was already going to be running low on herbs. He would need to go find some more soon enough. He would probably get up early in the morning to do so, but he was sure that once they finished their trip he wouldn't want to tonight.

 There are no such things as coincidence.Evacy bit her lip, trying not to retort. She felt bad for Catriona, but especially Kai and Andrea. She wondered what Gregor was looking for in his bag, then remembered the other night when he was getting medicine for Catriona. Evacy was interested to see what sort of herbs and potions he carried, since she hadn't checked during the 'celebration' in which she skipped. There is only hitsuzen

Kai regained his breath and joined the onlookers, feeling a little embarrassed. Tanner nodded as Kai stood next to him and saw the package slung over his shoulder.
"What's that for?" Kai said quietly.
Tanner shook his head. "I'll tell you in a minute.

((You guys ARE the ones that post. XD There's no one to wait for. I'll try and get it going again... My writing's been a little off lately though, sorry. >_<))
Tanner decided now was not a good time to give Kai the present. Setting it on the ground, he paced as he talked to Pix and the others.
"I think now they understand the point." he paused for a moment. "Fighting chivalrously and heroic-like is too obvious and gives your opponents too much of a chance to read your next move. As odd as it sounds, fighting slyly, smartly, and even fighting dirty will work much better."
Lucas spoke up. "Some of you have already seen a good example of this. When I fought Pix in the stables, he threw sand up in my eyes to get some free hits in. If he really intended to kill me, he was sure doing a good job of ensuring that he would, and also keeping himself away from unnecessary injuries while he was at it."
Tanner nodded and spoke again. "I didn't realize this until I was in the war... To survive you have to use ever attack at your disposal."
For Kai, this started to click. He got it... think on your feet, think it through. Know what your opponent could do from every action.
((Ugh... That whole post was weird. It's alright.))

(ahh..x.x I don't have much to post, but oh well, this'll have to do for now.)
Andrea listened to them, knowing very well that they were right. But she had already learned this from previous experiences living underground: even so, she was willing to listen, and to learn what she could. Her eyes scanned the group in front of them, wondering if everyone here would be able handle such things. Andrea's gaze moved to Catriona: she definately wouldn't be able to do such things, it simply went against everything she was. Andrea was pretty sure that the young girl would get sick just thinking about killing someone. Then her eyes flicked back to Pix, giving him a dark stare. She cursed him for forcing everyone to do this, especially someone like Catriona, and she hated him even more for injuring the poor girl. She turely hoped that she would be able to beat him to a pulp for all of this after their training and such was over.
