((I see your point and agree with you...but let's say that he turned his head before the blade even reached its target and then left, therefore he did not see the arm getting on the way...so no need to edit...if this is fine with you...plus it seems that Lady Lucia wants to talk to Kayiou... Welcome back Lucia smile ))

Cyreanne kept her sights behind the pair as she followed Kaori and Abel out of the window. Her infrared vision focussing on the groups of people which she assumed to be soldiers, she made sure that they were safe enough to sneak to the destination where she thought that they would be safest. "Alright you two, I know an inn where we can hide." She whispered after they'd all snuck into the alleyway, "It's not too far from here, and I've worked for the owner long enough that he won't be suspicious in the least; then again, being suspicious really isn't his thing in the first place..." Her voice trailed off slightly, as though she were forgetting the urgency of the situation; then her expression turned serious, a determined look evident in her eyes. "If you trust me, I'll lead you there. If not, I'll follow you wherever you feel you want to go."

Kaiyou
Kaiyou looked down to see the woman standing before him. He was about to leave her be and go on his way when he recognised who it was. He let out a small sigh and regained his composure. "I'm sorry you had to see that outburst earlier, but that man just got under my skin and I had to let it out and put him in his place." Kaiyou gave the woman a small bow, knowing her ranking in the church, and of the powers she possesed. "And I know that you of all people would know my reasons for these powers, I wouldn't think you don't know for a second." As she turned to lead the way Kaiyou plcaed his staff back on his back and followed her down the hall to her room. He did wonder what she wanted to discuss, but also knew they would probably talk about everthing, from their powers, to his reasons for coming to this city. A day that started out seeming like any other was now elevating to something quite interesting.

As Kaiyou entered her room, Lucia slid the door shut, it closed uncreaking as any would be in such a well-kept temple. She then spun swiftly on her heel and coming to face the far taller man. There was no emotion displayed on her cold, thin face as she spoke, and her voice carried the faint echo of many voices, though the sounds of the words of the dead which rung in her speech were currently silent in comparison to the voice produced by her own cords. "I understand the reason for which you are here, sidereal, and I hope that your intentions be not in vain." Though he could not see it through the haze of smoke that filled her orbital sockets, she was looking him over, analyzing him, considering his potential and noting that the life flowing through his veins was certainly god-blessed. The mark of Hydora was unquestionably evident in him. "These anathema are far more cunning and capable than most you have likely encountered, for they seem to have realized the benefit of functioning as a whole, and not merely the separate parts that all other subhumans have foolishly functioned as before. You will find slaying them single-handedly to be potentially impossible for one even as blessed as you. It would be a shame to see you fall at such a young age to such unholy creatures." She stood in absolute silence for a moment, her blank expression unnerving as she seemed to be but a corpse standing not of its own accord, as little she did truly was. Within her head buzzed the many words of her God, flowing with valuable information and adamant commands guiding her as to what to do given the many probable and eventful twists to come. She had heard them during her speech, she always heard them now. Before the blue haired man had an opportunity to speak, her mouth reopened. "Do not misunderstand my warning, this is not an offer to help, nor is it out of concern for your well-being. This is merely in the best interest of the church, for the will of the church is the will of the gods, and it is my duty to do as commanded by my god. I merely offer this, use as many resources to your advantage as you may. The church already has 'men' searching for the anathema, their numbers may come in handy. Do not attempt to take all of the creatures on at once, for together they may come to overwhelm you. But, most importantly, if you do not manage to kill them before the purging fire is called upon, this city will suffer dearly for your failure." As she finished speaking, Lucia returned to the door and opened it before him, "If you have any words of response, say them now. If not, I have business to attend."

Reno saw what the man was about to do. He closed his eyes and felt the smile of triumph creep over his lips. He heard the thrust, the felt the splatter of blood over his face; he felt the p***k in his neck. He felt everything he should, everything but the pain. Confused, the Inquisitor opened both eyes and stared up at the man. He saw the fuming red cheeks, the enraged eyes, and the spitting saliva. Everything was there. And then he saw the sword. He saw why he felt no pain, he stared with dumbfounded wonderment at the arm that hung dripping with blood not three centimeter from his face. It was Demetrius’ arm it was Azimeana!
The door slamming brought Reno back to the present and he shook his head, laughing as he rose to his feet. He turned to Demetrius and shrugged.
“Is it a fair assumption of me to make in believing I have angered that imbecile?” The dark skinned man heard and nodded. Reno sighed as he watched Demetrius stare at Azimeana who was not washing her wound. “o for the sake of the gods Demetrius, if you want to help the fool, do so. If not, would it be possible for me to occupy your ear for a moment, we have matters which need to be discussed.”
Reno.” Demetrius growled, turning around violently. “The woman just took a blade for you and you would let her bleed?” Reno laughed loudly, pouring himself a glass of wine. The red fluid splashed gently into the glass.
“My dear friend,” the red head said gently as he raised the cup to his lips. “Did it ever occur to you that perhaps I wanted to be stabbed?” He paused, letting his words sink in. He took a sip of hi drink and watched as his friend’s face turned into confusion. “Evidently it did not. Allow me to be forthcoming. That sidereal’s arrival and yes, I do say sidereal because he is more than a priest like be pretends to be, is the second, rather large boulder that has been cast into the cogs of my plans. It was bad enough when I had to deal with that one manic whore. Now,” Reno paused, taking another drink. “I need to deal with two of these wonderful little individuals.” Reno sighed. “I’m making up my goals as I go along Demetrius. Because my original plan got thrown away the moment that little b***h decided to show back up.” Reno walked to the window and looked down.
“Demetrius, go to the arch priestess and request, please stress the fact that I request, her audience immediately.”
“Why?”
“Because with those two infernal god touched running around like fools that they are, I’m going to need as many allies as I can find.”
“She’ll never-“
“Trust me Demetrius. I can no longer afford to sit idly by and let those anathema be caught. There are too many wheels turning and everything depends of making sure those little damned souls get out of this city alive. And once you’re done with her, go to Jasper and check on the status of our two prisoners. Those two are our ace in the hole.”
“As you wish.” Demetrius said and then left.
Silence filled the room after Demetrius’ departure. It hung like a curtain over everything, keeping the two individuals unspeaking to each other. Reno finished his glass.
“Snow,” Reno said at last, still gazing out the window. “Answer me the quest of why you took the blade?”
--
Brakus turned and watched the woman leaving. He felt, and not sure why, suspicious of the young woman. He walked around the room. After a few minutes of exploring, he turned his ear.
“Whose back there with you?” Brakus shouted

Kaiyou
As the woman began speaking to him Kaiyou quickly looked her over. He could not quite tell which, for it was quite clouded and mixed, but she had a strong presence of the gods around her. Being with her felt similar to being with the other high priests, the presence of the gods flowwed through them, as it did her. Kaiyou was a bit surprised to hear that these foul creatures could actually work together as this woman said they did and pose a threat. He opened his mouth to speak but was cut off as she coninued. He nodded and a smile came to his face as she said it was mearly for the church that she warned him, just as things should be. Kaiyou's respect for Lucia sky rocketed as she made it clear everything she did was for the church. When she opened the door for him he walked to it and gave her a graceful bow. "I thank you, on behalf of the church, for your helpful warning. It shall aid me much in my search for the anatema. A I must be off as well, I need to speak with the arch priestess before I begin my hunt. May the blessings of the gods be upon you." Kaiyou then turned to leave. As he walked out he saw the dark skinned man leaving Reno's room. He decided to pay him no mind and quickly took off down the hall. He needed to speak with the arch priestess as soon as possible, and learn as much as he could of the town, it's people, soldiers, and church members, and try and figure out where the acursed beasts might be hiding or trying to flee to.

As Kaiyou left the room, Lucia closed the door behind him and turned to step around the bed and across the bare tile floor until she reached the plain, simply adorned window. Opening the wood-framed fixtures of glass, a slight breeze and droplets of rain passed through the opening. The water gathered upon Lucia's form, but her robes repelled every drop of it. Smiling, she took a deep breathe, inhaling the living air, which was full of the rebirth that followed the death occurring in every organism. She felt out across the city with her abnormal sense, recognizing the dying cells in every being, their composition, their fading life and shortening telomeres as their very own metabolisms slowly shortened their life-span, second by second. Then she found them. She could sense the stench of their foul blood coming from an inn and an alleyway. The perceived putrid sense curved through the intricate corridors of wood and stone throughout the city, mapping the path to each anathema's location. Lucia grinned, "I see you, little ones. How helpless you are, tools for schemes of the arrogant and faithful; nothing more." She chuckled, light but foreboding her voice was in its shifting minor chords. She leaned against the sill of the modestly designed window and rose her slender legs to cross each other upon its narrow ledge. For minutes she sat as a statue would, frozen in the position gazing out across the city. The only visible movement was that of her swirling eyes, until she slid back into the room and closed the window, shutting out the steady flow of wind-driven rain. She strode once again across the room to open the door and step out. She knew where they were, now she had other business to attend.

The entrance of Demetrius was a relief to the Initiate. Not because he tried to interfere for her although she felt grateful to him. Not because she felt his gaze on the back of her neck, making a strange shiver ran through her spine. But because she managed to focus on something else. His voice broke the spell that the blood lost was casted on her shadowed mind. She managed to quiet down the rising lust for blood which her pierce arm had arisen.
At Reno's words her fist clenched, reopening the wound. What?! You wanted to die? Azimeana could not believe what she heard. She knew he was lying. He was just trying to play with her. Just trying to make her feel guilty for her action. This man did not need the help of Gods or magic to twist her mind, confuse her, torment her. He was an Inquisitor and yet he was pure evil. He was enjoying seeing her silver eyes trying to understand his intentions, seeking peace. I will not let him have victory over me...
Her eyes were lost in the transparent water, now tainted on her own blood. His voice raised from nowhere. She had not heard Demetrius leave the room. 'Why you took the blade...? Why? His question was echoing her thoughts. Was it out of duty? She had to defend him because she was his Initiate? No. Was it out of ambition? If she ever wanted to be an Inquisitor, she could not allow this man to die? No. Was it out of revenge? She wanted to be the one killing this b*****d? No. Was it out of weakness? She could not stand watching an unarmed man being killed in front of her? No. Was it for Demetrius's sake? She could not bear Demetrius's condemnation if she had his friend killed without intervening? No. Was it by reflex? Seeing someone in danger, she would save them? No. The truth was, when she took the decision, she did not think about it. Maybe she was a brainless cow after all. Maybe he was right and she was stupid. She was still turning his back at him. Relieved that he could not see her doubts and incomprehension on her face. She stayed immobile and quiet. She had no answer for him. She had thousands of answer for him. All of them being plausible explanations which she could logically defend. But all of them were explanations which she thought about AFTER acting and therefore they were all irrelevant. And in any case why did he care? He hated her as much as she did.

Alvena entered the main room with her arms around the children's shoulders. She had, of course, heard Brakus' shouts, and was suddenly relieved that Kaori had suggested that the girls stay with her. It gave a convenient excuse for the voices that the captain might have heard. When Alvena appeared before the man again, she gave no indication that she had heard what he said, the girls, made a show of shrinking to the woman's side.
"My nieces," The seemingly deaf woman said by way of introduction. "Their parents brought them from the country, to keep them safe from the non-humans." The girls stood by Alvena's side, staring at the man with wide, falsely innocent eyes. The younger girl, Alvena could not remember her name at the moment, waved shyly at the man and his men before holding onto her 'aunt's' skirt.
--------
Kaori looked back at Cyreanne, listening to her proposal. Looking back at Abel, she considered the offer. She really wanted to find the others, but knew they could not do so if they were captured. Looking back at the pink haired woman, the witch nodded. "We don't have many other options. If you are sure that we will be safe, I will follow you. You helped us back in my home town, I see no reason to not trust you now."
((sorry for not giving you more than that to work with Cy >.< ))

((Sorry everyone!!!))
Knowing full well the man needed medical attention, she knew he was much better equipped to do such things to himself, and if the food was what he needed she would bring it to him. Noticing he was unable to raise his arm much, Selyna held on to the wall as she grabbed the plate and set it on the floor, biting her lip as she bent over. Getting on her knees, she began to push the tray, as she didn’t want to remove her other arm from her torso for fear that it would allow her organs to fall onto the floor. As she got closer, she picked up some of the food and held it for him to eat. If you can’t point your arm towards the food, I doubt you can lift your arm to eat it. She loathed being this close to the ma, but couldn’t very well watch him die, not after the effort he’d gone through to get her here. She silently wished she knew exactly what was keeping her from having her powers; if she had them, her healing rate would be going much quicker, plus she could carry Danaiss, even in her humanoid form. However as it was, she was useless and vulnerable, a constant danger to the both of them; though in her current state, it was much easier for her to pass for a human and may be able to find out information on Kaori, Abel, and the girls. After everything died down, she would try to find them and try to get to her hometown; if they hadn’t burned it to the ground already.

"Do not move too much..." he articulated with pain. He swallowed a piece with difficulty. His former rush while his throat was still surrounded by the ring of metal had damaged his neck. He took a second bite. He was feeling better already, but so weak. The minutes it took him to eat seemed like eternity. Selyna was very close to him and she could feel how unease she was by the situation. "Once...my strengths...are back...I will...heal you..." he spoke further. His blue eyes were soft on the cait.
As strengths came back slowly, he could now feed himself. "Thank you Selyna." He said between two bites. "You see this door? There is a warm bath for you." he paused, talking was still painful. "Do not wet your wounds too much. But wash your hair... the flower powder they use to inhibit our powers is still in your hair." he did not explain further as a grin of pain crossed his face. Remembering what happened and her fears, he added in a whisper. "The door has an inner lock." then he closed his eyes, trying to relax and brought some more food to his lips. Soon I will be able to heal her and myself.... soon...

Brakus glared intently at the young woman, his wrinkles creasing as he stared at the two young girls at the woman’s side. But it was a smile that crossed over his lips and it was a sad look of intensity than was in his eye. He turned up to the young woman and nodded.
“They remind me of my young grandchildren.” Her paused, trying to remember how long it had been since he had seen their smiling faces and felt their little hands starching his beard. “Don’t worry little one, “He said his voice friendly, his big hand waving back to the little girl we’ll be out of here soon. Phelix.” Brakus grunted and one of the two guards straightened, his mail rustling with his movements.
“Sir?”
“Search the house and be quick about it.”
“Yes sir.” The young man started to move.
“And try not to make a mess; this is someone’s home you know.” Brakus sighed and watched as the young knight began to walk toward the corridor where the woman ha just emerged from.
“Damn you Inquisitor.” Brakus grumbled, looking around the small, spartanly decor of the room. “Curse you for everything you have ever done to people like this!”
--
The rain was stopping, the droplets falling less frequently against the window. The overcast skies were brightening and in a few spots, far in the distance, rays of sunlight were cutting through the clouds. The sun struck the wet grass and in those places, the simple wonders of nature shown bright and radiate, emeralds in a sea of grey. The arch priestess looked but took no joy in this. Her hands were in her lap. All around her, books of religion and knowledge stood, piled high like small towers and covering the many shelves that filled this round room. This had been her sanctuary, a place of peace, but even here, the stench of the inquisitor hung. Reno’s threat of death filled everything now. Everywhere she went, she could only smell the threat. Her sleep was troubled and her dreams swiftly melted into nightmares. She saw her city, razed and ravaged. She saw her beloved subjects screaming in pain.
“My lady,” A voice said, it was soft and tender. The arch priestess heard the door to her chamber open but she did not look up. “You summoned me?” The old woman’s eyes looked up.
“Indeed Areua.” The rather heavy set woman closed the door behind her. Her white robes hung off her thick frame in rolls. Areua was short and far from attractive. But what she lacked in physical grace she made up with her voice and wit. When the old septum had passed, many had been repulsed by the arch priestess decision to appoint the plump woman to the anointed station. But she had soon won more respect than the Arch Priestess herself could ever wield. “You received my letter then?”
“Indeed,” the larger woman nodded. “though I wish it was not so. The mere idea of the city-“The thick shoulders shuddered.
“Alas, every word was true.”
“Its not fair. “The large woman blurted how. “How dare he he think he can-“ Areua’s fat checks blushed a deep red and she gave a hasty bow. “I’m sorry, forgive my outburst.”
“Am I supposed to forgive you for being human?” The old woman said, a smile on her thin lips.
“You are the only one who ever would call us something like that.”
“I know my child, I know. But the gods made all things and how can I not love all things, even that which those above me condemn. But we must be swift. Are the sewers still unwatched?”
“As of now, yes, why Arch Priestess? Do you consider using them to escape?”
“Not myself, no. I will suffer the fate of my city, but a fate I hope to be a prosperous one.” The old eyes were stern as she looked at the wall opposite her. “If the hunted could be found and shepherded to the gate-“
“I understand my lady!” Areua said, excitement in her face. “Yes, it could work, very easily. We have them flee the city and then tell of where they escape to. Thus drawing the Inquisitors far from the city.” Areua’s smile fell. “But will he not set fire to the city in rage?”
“Let me handle him, my dear. I leave it to you to find and escort these poor victims out. I’ve heard enough tortured screaming to last me a life time. I pray that the gods shall forgive all the horrors I have done.”
--
“Ah so is silence to be the answer of your tongue?” Reno turned and stared at the back of Azimeana’s head. “Or is it stupidity that holds your tongue still while you attempt to form words in the empty head of yours?” He shook his head, a sigh passing from his lips. “Your hopelessness is staggering. Do you truly allow your emotions so much governance over your mind that permits simple words to unnerve you so dearly?”

Kaiyou
Kaiyou kept wondering around, winding through hallway after hallway. He was searching for where the arch priestess resided. He had been told when he entered the town, but it was mch more confusing once you were in the place. He finally found where the guards had described, and let out a sigh of relief, It was about time. As he rounded the corner he saw an older woman wearing whits church robes. She entered the room he had been told was the priestess'. He made his way donw the hallway slowly, letting the two in the room speak in private. He stood outside the door until it sounded like it was over and then knocked. "Excuse me, arch priestess, I would like to speak with you. If you could spare me but a moment of your time."

The idea of taking a bath was unappealing not only because a man would be just on the other side of the door, the only thing between her and him a flimsy lock, but also because she feared what the water touching her wounds would do. I could do with washing up…. Are you sure you’re okay to … She watched as it seemed Danaiss drifted off to sleep and she tip toed as best she could to the bathroom, still clutching her torso and the wall for balance. Nervous, she gave a quick look back over her shoulder, feeling the skin stretch from her closing wounds and hurried inside and closed the door quickly, leaving her body pressed against it as she locked it. Staring at the door for a few moments, almost certain Danaiss would try to break it down and get to her. She listened carefully to hear if he got up or made a move to do so; satisfied when she didn’t hear anything, she stuck her legs into the water while sitting on the side of the tub. The hot water felt so good against her skin and bruises, that Selyna closed her eyes and let out a gasp of pleasure. Wanting to make the most of her time while her companion was seemingly out of commission, she began quickly removing her clothes, biting her bottom lip as she realized how tattered and bloody they were, she wished she hadn’t dropped her bag so long ago, she’d at least have a change of clothes on her. Submerging herself to just under her laceration, Selyna finally began feeling clean from what had happened to her, as if the water was washing away the fact that Danaiss and the old man had ever touched her. Knowing she’d have to wash her hair to, remembering some vague thing her companion had said about powder in her hair, she moved forward a bit in the tub so she wouldn’t have to worry about the water splashing onto the floor, and grabbed a basin on the sink next to her. Filling it with water, she struggled to bring the basin above her head and pour the water over her hair. At first her hair was so matted and thick that Selyna didn’t even feel the water hit her scalp. The second time however was a bit easier for her to lift the basin, and by the time the third pour came, she knew she’d gotten whatever it was out of her hair. She could feel her energy returning as if being refueled. Stepping out of the water, Selyna wrung out her hair and went to throw her clothes away; thinking better of it, she morphed into her leopard form, and carried them out of the bathroom. She knew she couldn’t be a leopard at all times and a naked woman drew too much attention. As she dropped the clothes on the bed a thought came to mind that would make it much easier for her to travel; she could become a house cat again, therefore if she were to use her sense of smell to track down the others in that form, no one would even give her a second glance. She hated the idea of leaving Danaiss and decided she should wait until he awoke again before asking him about how he felt being left alone.

Azimeana looked down and to his sigh echoed a sigh. Then she turned to him and threw a clean towel at the Inquisitor. "You have blood on your neck." She hated this man. And the more she could not understand him, the more she hated him. What does he want? She thought that he wanted to be spared the sound of her voice and now he was tearing her apart for staying quiet. "As far my reasons, if you do want an answer Inquisitor Reno, I had none." She had spoken slowly, articulating each syllable as if it was hurting her to address him. Her silver eyes were looking at the blue eyes of Reno. Why did I interfere?! This man is going to make me hate myself...
Danaiss indeed drifted in a half conscious stage while Selyna was bathing. In any case that was better for everyone. When he opened his eyes, Selyna was not back in the room. The man ate some more and drank some more. But the time Selyna came back in the room, as a leopard, Danaiss could stand by himself and had regenerated enough energy to heal Selyna further.
The man turned to the feline and smiled weakly. "Selyna, I can finish the healing process on you. You will still have a scar and sometimes a little pain but you would be able to move back normally." He made a step forward, clenching his fist to avoid his rib to hurt too much. Once he would heal her, he would take a bath too... "May I?" he asked the animal in front of him.
