Zeke turned to Jason as Cee grabbed at his coat. "Thank you." Unsure if he'd already said it already. Things were moving too quickly, in too many directions, and with the barely subdued panic crawling up the back of his throat it was hard to keep it all together. Cee was alright, and that was what mattered.
"What?" He blinked at the petite Death's question, his brows creasing, and all at once the careful semblance of calm he'd been managing to hold onto shattered. Where was Ever? They'd split up, and then s**t had really hit the fan. "I don't...know." And tat was wrong. He needed to fix that. Now.
He moved like he intended to wrap his hand around Cee's wrist, though his fingers stopped just shy of actually doing it. "I have to find him," he said earnestly, imploring her to come with him, but not demanding. It had been quite a while since they'd really seen each other, and he who knows what the girl had gone through in that time. Dragging her along with him would have been very heavy handed.
Without waiting for an answer one way or the other he started towards the densest cluster of hunters, squinting in the blaze of the sun for a tall figure with white hair. He thought maybe he saw him near the group that had just brought down one of the larger centipedes. And wasn't that a ******** nightmare in itself?
{It's...cold.}
Lagertha sounded puzzled, and Zeke wasn't entirely sure what to make of that statement either. What do you mean cold?
{Cold. I'm cold. Something's off...}

<This is interesting . . .>
Not the word she would have used in this exact moment, but Kara kept her commentary to herself for the time being. She breathed in slowly, and out, trying to keep calm in a rather frustrating situation. Slowly, her weapon lowered, a basic display that she wasn't moving closer towards the giant, bleeding centipede. Already she'd spoken what she saw. Stormy's response was troubling to her, but it... was an explanation.
And a sick feeling was forming in her stomach. "I thought maybe it was just moving slowly due to its injuries, but that... wouldn't make sense at this point, would it?" Her murmur was directed towards Stormy, feeling more and more a bit green around the gills. Kara... was growing more aware of the reality she likely just attacked another human, but the image her eyes registered was still nothing more than a monster.
If Gale and Stormy hadn't said anything, or been present... she bit back the bile that started to rise up. Wouldn't do her any good to get sick right now. Process it later. Or at least, try to not focus on that now.
<I feel.... cold.>
Kara blinked, looking down at her scythe. <Are you alright?> Branwen did not respond, and the Trainee felt no comfort in this as she looked back to the senior Hunters. What else was going on? Or rather, going wrong?
BOSS HP: 45 / 50
Hunterpede
Gale is the only person who sees this Moon Hunter. Everyone else sees a 6 foot centipede.
BOSS MOB: 50/50 HP
This boss doesn't attack, it doesn't auto attack, it just takes the hits. Anyone is free to attack it and if it is defeated, the regular way, it just dissolves (or in Gale vision THE HUNTER DIES), if it is left alive, it will simply just stay where it is and do nothing.
As Gale sees it, they are too tired to talk any more, bleeding profusely (in non Gale vision, it's the poison leaking from the centipede).
Roland could only shrug at Melvin, "I only saw a flicker of it. He was surrounded by centipede things, Caelius killed them, then he grabbed him by that arm and chopped something off at the end."
He gestured to the whole desert. "Caelius threw us here to begin with! Why should I know what he's up to.... Gale even said it at training; avoid Caelius. And he rolled into the room and."
He made another grand gesture.
Somewhere in the back of his mind Sylvia was almost pacing, but she made no remark less she worry Roland more.

Vash still looked a bit dazed from the fight -- enough so that he just sat in the sand through Dean calling him Dickhead, vaguely uncomprehending, through Dottie's freakout and all the people circling and trying to be helpful and mostly, really, just getting in the way. The only thing that penetrated was October's accusation.
Of course Vash had shot him --
"You were a ******** centipede."
And like that, he was himself again, dragged back into focus, sharp edges and annoyance and Resting b***h Face back into place. He levered himself up, maybe still a bit wobbly on his feet, trying to shake sand out of every inch of clothing he owned to very little success.
"You were trying to eat this dumbass, or something." He thrust a thumb toward Dottie.
The suddenness of Bradley's declaration made Abbi laugh, bright and surprised. "Aw, that's really nice of you!" She covered her eyes again to flash him a genuine grin, but turned back to the centipede quickly. "If you're in trouble, just call me and I'll run after you too!" She laughed, and chanced a glance back at him, just in case the hallucination had started to wane. In retrospect, that wasn't the best idea as her head swam in a very serious way, bad enough that Abbi took a wobbly step back. Her foot shifted wrong in the sand and she sat down on the ground, hard. "Crapbaskets. I uh... I got stung? I think its bad." Gosh, it was hot out here. Like, really, really warm. Abbi tried to shrug out of her coat, buy her movements were slow and clumsy. "Is one of our gift bags around here? I think I need a drink of something..."
A deep drag of exhaustion on her bones rooted Abbi to her little spot in the sand, however dangerous it might be. She was too tired, and half tangled in her jacket, to bother covering her eyes, so she concentrated on the centipede. "Those red markings... Do they look familiar to you?" Maybe she was just imagining their similarity to something she couldn't name. Did she still have that flask in her coat? Gosh, she was thirsty. And even weirder than that was how Viveca kept insisting in her head that something was wrong, something other than the throbbing in Abbi's ankle from the bite, something about the ghost, something, something, something.

"I think that thing was poisoned." It was thoughtful, a bit distracted, as he watched some trainee take out the centipede. Ever didn't seem to mind; so long as someone had, he didn't. And he was still probing at the edges of his senses, taking into account the slight sway in his step as he looked first to Rep (lingering) and then back to the assortment of gathered trainees, in various states of looking like s**t.
"Can any of you heal? I'm afraid that's not really Amory's style..." He tapped two fingers meaningfully against the pommel of his dagger.
Though she remained residually startled by Alice offering Robert to her sister, Mimsy relaxed substantially when the offer was declined. She could not argue that him growing additional limbs would be interesting, nor could she discern if the comment was meant to be complimentary or insulting, so she was silent on that matter.
The sight of the shed carapaces being collected reminded her of the initial reason that she had come to greet them. She produced the specimen jar from her bag, extending it towards them, and appeared to put on a smile.
"This will sustain any organism or object consisting of FEAR for a longer duration of time than a typical vessel might. You may have this!"
'You may have this instead of my husband' was the unspoken subtext.
Chase followed along, stopping only when Sherry did to turn and look at him. She'd been friendly and helpful before, but there was something wrong with the way she was looking at him. He glanced to either side of him, but there was no one else here she could be talking about. He gripped Neva a little bit tighter.
"̶̕S̵̕h̴͘͢͝҉e̸̷͡͡r̸̴͘͟r̨̛y̷̡͘!̨̨̕?̷̡̀"̶̛̕ he yelled in surprise as she swung her weapon into him, backing up one step, then another, his feet sinking into the sand too quickly to consider running."̴͜͢͠S̛͠ţ̴̡ǫ̷̢̡͠ṕ̢͠!̵"͡͏̸̴
The only thing he could do was throw something at her to slow her down - and the only thing in his hands was Neva. The chain whip went wild, blade barely grazing Sherry, and instead Neva ended up entangled around half of Sherry's glaive. There was a momentary pause as he glanced between their stalemate, and the clearly possessed Sherry.
So cold... Neva complained as Chase immediately tried to wrestle the weapon out of Sherry's hands.
"Yeah, but....something else? ********. Hopefully not another bug." He grumbled, squeezing Lawr to his chest with concern as he looked him over and at the hand. "Nothing is gonna heal him with a broken shield......I need to get him back and who knows when anyone is gonna bother calling in a portal. I just gotta keep him stable till then."
He leaned in to whisper. "Please do your best, Butch. Be a good dog."
Standing back up, he looked around and wondered if he could find anything from the refuse of the tent to keep Lawr around him in case he had to run and fight at the same time. "I'm going to check the tents and keep Lawr out of the heat best I can until them. Maybe see if I can't get any water ********. I don't know. Any burnt medical supplies. Thanks for being there to keep him from being a red puddle on the ground. I owe you two one."

EVER + CO
Rep hadn't spotted anyone yet and flicked his attention back to Ever as he overheard his question, making his way back from the extinguished tents.
"I've got one of these." he said, fishing a glowing bandage out of his many many pockets. He didn't desummon Tracey but instead jammed the axe into the sand temporarily.
Normally the bandages were very potent in their effect but something drained the power and meant that when he applied it to the injured hunter there was no effect at all, no heal for them and no effect for him either.
"The ********?" he said. "Normally it at least does SOMETHING. And I ******** charged it up."

The bug that had killed the kid, that was still making him move, just screeched and chattered and waved it's ugly mandibles and legs at her. Then it reached out, leaned out -out of him- and wrapped it's mandibles around Armagnac.
"No!" Sherry yelled as the thing made more noises at her. She pulled back on Armagnac. The Lindwyrm gave off a feeling of worry and unease, but Sherry had more pressing things to deal with. This bug was still using the trainee's body and it was trying to steal her weapon.
"You can't have her and you can't have him!" Sherry kicked at the vile creature.

"Water? I have some, don't stress yourself," he said, pulling the water bottle out of his gift bag and giving it to her. Red markings? Bradley tilted his head and glanced over at the centipede, seeing no markings. But if there were red markings, then... there was some sort of Legacy or Ancient or Horseman at the bottom of this.
Yzalin?
Nothing. Only an intense feeling of cold, dread maybe. Something was coming, something, something, something -
s**t, s**t the last time that Yza went quiet....

Roland shrugged again at Melvin, he had no information, "Ask him when he wakes up?" He watched Melvin tugging the unconscious figure close. "The tents are ruined I doubt you'll find much." He rubbed his face wearily. He then waved to Melvin before looking around, he spotted Peyton not far off and got up stumbling towards her.
After a bit of walking the small hunter crossed his arms and fell in beside her.

Ever + Co
In the end it hadn't been very difficult to spot Ever. He was the tall, lanky figure he'd seen from a distance, and Zeke felt a wave of relief upon the confirmation of that. Not that it lasted too terribly long, not as the Mist noticed the blood that had soaked through into Ever's pant leg. An alarming amount of blood.
Of he'd been more himself, the logical part of his mind would have noticed how stable he seemed on his feet, and that whatever had hurt him, didn't seem to be hurting him anymore. Unfortunately, the logical part of Zeke's brain was being smothered by the part that was trying desperately not to flat out loose it in the face of the desert, the bugs, and everything going to s**t all over again so soon after the nightmare with himself as a ******** horseman.
When he noticed the blood Zeke took off at a run, sprinting across the burning sand to reach the mixed group of full hunters and trainees, not waiting to see if Cee was still following him. "Ever!" A hand reached out to grab for one of Ever's wrists, spinning him around to face him. It was only then that he actually noticed how not in pain the Life hunter was. Brows creasing, he looked down at the blood, then back up. "What happened?"
