"I-I did it! Yes, my Thu'um is stronger!" I say when the absorption works. I look over and walk to Chi, laying a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry about it, accidents happen! I had armor on, and I'm not dead! Sometimes you have to make mistakes before you get better!" I say to her cheerfully. Next, I address Jasmine with a nod. "Very well, I think I can manage myself! My armor furroze the wound shut, and Emmy's help will probably limp me along until we get back." I say to her before finally turning over to Misaki. "It's a game called Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I'll let you play it if you purromise not to burn my computer... Better yet, let's get you your own computer!"

A part of my mind clicks into place for a moment and I respond to Ayumu. "Otousan always said it was my fault that Okaason died giving birth to me... Logically, I know that's not true as she was very weak when she was pregnant... but Otousan said that all I bring is misfortune. Okaasan died, Otousan fell to drugs and was fired from the hospital, my cousin almost died in a car wreck.... Each time, they said, 'It's your fault.' And now I hurt you and Nekora. Maybe I do bring everyone misfortune..." I utter just loudly enough for everyone within 7 feet of me to hear. I continue to stare blankly ahead as begin to head back home.

"Don't dwell on it too much! It takes WAY more than a stray shot to take me down!" I say cheerfully to Chi before looking over at Jade. "Come to think about it, my armor ALSO blocked Emmy's healing spell, so it seemed like as much a physical barrier as it was a countermagic one... Maybe we do have some magic resistance, although there is another, more creepy theory I've been considering about our existance..."

Chi:
"Thank you," Jasmine says.

Nekora:
"Good," Jasmine says.

Chi:
"Don't think like that," Jasmine says. "It'll only hurt your chances of success."

Jade:
"It varies," Jasmine explains. "Your magic isn't powerful enough to do much damage against her yet."

Everyone:
Jasmine leads you back to the Mansion. There, she takes Nekora, Ayumu, Emmy, and Misaki to the medical rooms. Everyone else is given the rest of the day off.



Nekora & Ayumu & Misaki & Emmy:
When Emmy wakes up, she finds all of you together in the medical rooms. Her head hurts. The others' wounds are being treated carefully by several magical girls.

Chi & Jade:
Jasmine tells you both to enjoy the rest of the day, and not to worry about the others. She then takes off to file a report for the mission.

Emmy lets out a low moan of discomfort as she wakes up, opening her eyes slowly, blinking a few times over. She lifts her head up briefly, noticing the others and their conditions before letting it rest once more on the bed.

Nekora:
The medic comes over to you and checks your wound again.
"All right, looks like that's all I can do," she says. "You shouldn't have a scar, unless you want me to leave one."
As you try to see what the Soul Gem gave you, your mind is suddenly flooded with voices. You can't help but jump as they fill your mind!

Emmy:
A medic rushes over to you.
"Shush," she says. "I'll have you back to full in no time."
She begins healing you. You quickly feel your energy coming back.

Ayumu:
The medic finishes getting the acid out of you.
"There, all better," she says. "You should be good to go."

"Waah!" I cry out, startled by the sudden voices. I bounce up and land on all fours from the surprise, and look around. I make out Ayumu's question about Chi, which pulled me back a little of of shock. "If you're worried about Chi not liking you... Don't be. She felt bad about hitting us... Really bad. I think she sees us as friends and family, and just doesn't know how to show it." I say, sitting back down on my knees as I sift through the eldritch whispers, trying to see if I can concentrate on just one.

I wander around the mansion aimlessly, pretty much out of it. Do they have any gardens? A garden sounds nice... maybe a Japanese garden... with ponds... koi... sōzu... sakura trees... I doubt they'd have anything tranquil like that though... I slump a little.
