The etchings on the wall had eroded over time, large chunks and groves where perhaps illustrations or writing may have been entirely removed. The wall however, did reveal bits and pieces of interesting material, occasionally a few letters jumbled together, and then a carving that seemed to stretch the entire expanse of the cavern. There was telling what the image should have been though: the edges had been dulled over time.
There was however, a strange red smear on one side of the wall, close to Vanth. It was the exact colour of the red droplets they had followed on the way here.
The rocks and floor themselves were odder still: brushing upon them not only revealed uneven edges but a fine layer of dust and grime: in fact brushing them further revealed that the floor itself was not actually made of stone but shards of fine, glowing crystal that could easily be uncovered underneath. The voices in the water still did not appear to be speaking in any understandable language. It still felt calm though, and just as reassuring. It felt oddly like home. Anyone picking up any items would feel no adverse effects, but simply feel drawn to the treasure. Why only pick up one? They should pick up more than just one measely piece. Think of how much it would sell for... While Yari was trying to read the chalice, the words suddenly dissipated, instead, revealing a blank, slightly battered surface. The chalice was firmly fastened to the bottom of the pool. The water itself tasted cool and refreshing, though there was no discernible status effect, or any indication for the better or worse. The blue flowers, observed at a distance, retracted back, glowing softly. They did not do anything else.

Sin looked totally deadpan. "Well yes. Dry. It was a nice state of being." He completely missed the pun, much too stuffy to actually realise the jibe at him.
He shook his hair and gave his wings a few sad flaps. Oh well. He was wet now and the water was warm. "These clothes are ruined." He didn't sound too upset at least, sometimes it was kind of nice to actually break the rules. Maybe he'd go for a swim.
Slipping into the water properly, he did a lazy breaststroke over to the deeper parts of the pool.
"Is there anything in here other than junk?"

"You shut your whore mouth." Cricket growled before she walked back over to Arel to sit on his chest, legs crossed. If he hadn't been suffocating before, he definitely was now.

Ren brushed aside some of the crumbly dust and frowned. ... Crystals? Why was the floor made of crystal? He looked up to ask if anyone else had noticed ... ... oh god Cricket was here. Ren froze, fighting the impulse to go hide behind a stalagmite.

Well that did nothing. Vel looked around the water, then at the gem in her hand. She wanted to pocket it. But, she decided to do something else.
She began to dump gems and gold into the cup part of the chalice. Because why not?
It was latched to the bottom.. so maybe...
Well. Actually. She wasn't really sure what she was going at with this.

"A reaper is not complete without his weapon, Pyre," He frowned, and pushed back against her, determined not to let her get the better of him, "I merely do not find the things you find fun, fun."
He desummoned his staff suddenly, and took a quick step to the side, trying to make the ghoul fall into the water.

d**k, like several other students, was wading around in the water, picking up a few nice little trinkets and shoving them in his pockets. This was great!!
Though for some reason he was just feeling a compulsion to keep picking things up. He only paused when he noticed Vel was harassing that thing in the center. Chalice, whatever. "What is even that thing?" he asked as he approached it behind Vel, giving it a suspicious look - how much could he have gotten for that?
...
and why did he suddenly care about that?

"Some fancy cup," Vel replied as she continued to pile things into it. Maybe it needed to be filled before it could be removed or something like that. Whatever the case was, she was trying to figure out a way to get it out of the water.

He flushed as he felt her stop his words, her whisper into his ear making it worst. Arcana could barely hold all the feels in there as she accepted and he smiled. Truly genuinely smiled.
He never had a ghoulfriend either, nor been a boilfriend so....he would do his BEST to be a good one for his ghoulfriend.
Cause...Cause Selene was his ghoulfriend.
"O...Okay." He smiled again, and then looked up to see Norvie, Moira AND Tarot staring at them. In that moment, he squeaked and buried his face in Selene's neck, still holding her. Oh jack they had SEEN.

"The ******** do I know? Look for yourself." Bella charmingly demanded of Sin, before she squatted down and picked up a few pieces of treasure for her own. She started pocketing anything that looked good, including a nice little tiara that she dumped on her head. Then she stood up in the water, and curtseyed. "I am Queen Bella of the nine levels of hell, please worship me appropriately!" She began twirling around, as if she had some fluffy dress to twirl with, but really she was just splashing people left and right as she did. "Laaa la la laaa la laaaaa~"

"I SEE YOU THERE MAKING LOVE!"
Westhor was half-unconscious, and a distance away, but it did not stop him from picking up ~da love~ in the air.

Ashly would have helped the other students fight off the tentacles. She really would have but...ya, at the exact moment that he tentacles had emerged was when her body had decided to go into a fit of coughs that were so violent they left her lying on the floor. The more she had tried to make them stop, the worse they had gotten, and by the time they had quit (which really, wasn't very long considering how powerful a room full of Y3 students apparently was) the tentacles had fallen to the ground in defeat.
She had kept to herself after that, mostly out of shame that she hadn't gotten a chance to help the others out, and partially out of jealousy that she hadn't been able to join in the fray.
And now she followed slowly behind everyone who had entered into the cavern with the lake, eyeing everything in the room that she could see suspiciously. It was still dark so many things were hard for the smoker zombie to make out. A lot of that was rectified when a few students turned on their own personal lights, so to speak, and she was able to have a good look around.
The first thing she noticed was the water. It appeared to be full of glinting and shiny treasure. Having no use for such trinkets, she was easily able to ignore them. What she couldn't ingore, however, was the slime from earlier beginning to dry and stiffen. It didn't bother her too much that her clothes were covered in it, but it was getting rather annoying in her hair, so she staggered over towards the lake, crouching down at the edge. She might have been a little more weary of the water, but many of the students had just gone sloshing their way into it, going for a swim or going to collect treasure for themselves. So, with a shrug, she slipped into the water herself, and submerged herself completely, working her fingers through her hair to try and remove the gunk that had begun to stiffen it. The odd sounds beneath the water, like a strange and enticing lullaby, made her eyes widen a little, but as she did not need to breathe and as it did not exactly sound unfriendly, she remained submerged until her hair felt as clean as it was going to get, before dragging her sopping wet self back up onto the shore.
That had certainly been...odd. She sat up and wrapped her arms around her knee's, coughing into her shoulder once in a while and looking around, finding some amusement in the antics of the other but all in all feeling like this day just could not get much worse.

The problem with two shy people deciding to date, was that when one of them wanted to hide, it was likely that the other did as well. So when Arcana noticed the peanut gallery that had gathered to watch them, and buried his head into her neck, she tried to do the same thing - and they began the awkward dance of the shy duo. It consisted mainly of butting heads a lot. And Selene murmured no no no no no-

"Maybe you should try filling it with some of the water...?" he suggested. "I mean, there's water everywhere, so somehow that seems like a logical step, he noted as he fussed with the enamel painted gold pendant he'd picked up, turning it over in his fingers over and over again.
He tried to not scratch at the gauges around his eyes, which looked as though they were tentatively holding together and would bleed again with the slightest bit of agitation.

"There was a squid!" she replied, as if that was the only explanation necessary. Oinqa hopped to her feet and smoothed her hands down the front of her dress. She peered further into the relative darkness, finally able to see what everyone else was doing again. "C'mon! Things to see." She was no dragon, but dragons weren't the only ones who liked sparkling. The ghoul trotted off then doubled back to make sure Matt was following.
