How would I incorporate Raqs Shaqi (belly dancing) into a ritual?

You could incorporate it by making a dance as part of the ritual. For example maybe you could invoke what spirits and deities your using into your circle while dancing around it. Rituals and anything else do not have to be done a completely set in stone way. Just think and make it your ritual, Everyone is different and have their own ways.

Belly dance is actually really fun and easy enough (I did a few DVDs of it, not saying Im pro, but did lose a pound or ten biggrin ). I also incorporated it into ritual as a means of raising energy (and did it ever!). The music alone is great, with all of that rhythmic drumming and whatnot, and it loosens up your body/chakras/range of movment which really makes you feel awesome later!

Its the one I use, and the instructor, though seemingly drippy, knows her stuff. I believe the whole workout is an hour in length, with a really intense dance routine towards the end. It may not look like it, but belly dancing (especially shimmying the hips) is an insane cardio routine.

Your boyfriend refuses to borrow belly dancing videos for you out of the library? Does he not like the idea of his girlfriend being able to belly dance? confused

I know a little bit of belly dance moves. Learned from some friends a while back. Though I should probably get back into it. It's great fun, and for the guys out there, women love to see a guy who knows how to belly dance, and for the girls, guys absolutely go wild over it (most guys anyways). But back on topic, I'm agreeing with Cygan, it's a great cardio, and you'll feel so much better after just a week of doing it.

Amen to that, and its one of the only instances where "guyliner" is attractive to me.

Morality Turmoil Your boyfriend refuses to borrow belly dancing videos for you out of the library? Does he not like the idea of his girlfriend being able to belly dance? confused Its not that, he loves that idea, trust me >.< lol. Its that this library kinda screwed him over and made him pay 30 dollars for a movie you could get at blockbuster for 5 dollars and we even turned in the movie so yeah :/

There are many different types of belly dancing - such as Turkish-style, India-style, etc. Each country, even each gypsy tribe, where there is belly dancing, has their own style of it.
Back in October at CUUPS, there was a guest belly dance instructor who was teaching us some of the different types. I forgot which style it was, but one of the styles she demonstrated had incorporated thrusting out fists ... not really like punching, but like showing of courage and strength.

Merry we meet...
i swear on this guild somewhere that I read a list of pagan artists that someone posted and then Neri (i think, sorry if im wrong), said that she posted a list also in a different part of the guild.
I was wondering if someone could tell me where these lists are??? I need some pagan music to fill a mp3 player that is going to be for when I meditate and when i do magickal workings. Or if i like them enough just carry with me everywhere n.n
...and merry we part ♥
