"Well, gosh," Tony said sarcastically, "Since you asked so nicely..." As he spoke, the suit locked onto the points on the enormous body where major arteries were. As he finished his last word, sixteen darts of heavy-duty tranquilizer shot toward those points; together, they were enough to put an elephant to sleep for days.

Carnage climbed out of the hole in the alley, mad as Hell. "How DARE you get in the way ?!" he screamed at the girl that he somehow knew was the cause. Then, he paused. There had been something familiar about her; not her, in particular, but still, something... then it hit him like she had just a moment ago: she was wearing a symbiote. If it wasn't a symbiote, or at least something just like it from another Universe, he was Spider-Man's pet. But he knew. He was also certain that she was no mere human. He leapt onto the roof of one of the building that made up the alley, and asked her, "What ARE you? BOTH of you?"

Kara's eyes widened at his frantic yell, and then hurriedly brought both hands up to catch the car; she hadn't expected him to be quite so fast. She quickly yanked the vehicle out of his hands and set it down. What do I do, now? I don't know anything about the medical side of this. Should I knock him out? She hesitated for a split second, unsure and not a tad conflicted, and then reached out with a blurring hand to grab him by the throat. Very, very carefully, she applied slight pressure to the sides of his neck, cutting off the blood supply to his brain. In his panicked, drugged state, it only took a few seconds for him to lose consciousness. Catching him before he could begin to fall and scooping his legs up under the knees, she finally turned to Carnage. "Sorry," she said in an saccharine tone of voice, "But I'm away from my desk or with a client. If you'd like to leave a message, please contact War Machine, or do us all a favor and just jump off a cliff. Thank you, and goodbye!" With a cheesy wink straight out of the 50's, she took off, heading for a roof... and clean air. As she flew, she called back over her shoulder, "Oh, guy-who-isn't-Batman! Girl-who-isn't-Supergirl would like a word with you!"

"Godda-" Tony cut himself off, frustrated beyond belief. He couldn't go in after this guy, and he couldn't take him out from the air, not with innocent people inside. Immediately, he switched to the private com system. "Rhody, my air filter's broken. I'll get Carnage if you take what's-his-name," Without waiting for his friend's reply (when did he ever?), he sent another blast toward Carnage; after all, he was distracted by... a really cute girl in a skirt. He'd have to remember to ask Rhody about her later.

War Machine continued laying fire down on any of the baddies that needed it, but he stopped to listen to Carnage and Supergirl. As Supergirl took off with Spider-Man, War Machine activated the mic in her ear.
"You and I are going to have a talk when we're through here. Don't go too far away."
With that, he took off after Scarebeast. If Tony was going to ignore him, then he was going to ignore Tony. Making his way into the Daily Bugle, War Machine activated his scanners to find the monster and finish him.

Reaper continued to watch, leaning against the wall. This was quite a show. The girl had left with the spider, Shadow and the girl had left, and... wait.
Reaper turned his attention towards another creature that had appeared and was going for the red creature. His blood...seemed familiar. But he didn't recognise him, at least not from here. Perhaps he could get a closer look.

Carnage took the blast from War Machine, rolling back, and recovered in time to see what appeared to be Hybrid charging him. "Hybrid! What're you doing?! Spider-Man is getting away!" He made his own hands into claws and counter-charged. "You need a lesson in family values!"

Hybrid was just now recovering from the shock of the close-up full-power blast of Iron Man's sonic cannon. He awoke in time to see Spider-Man be taken away by a blonde in a blue top and red skirt, the same blonde with the symbiotic costume. He'll find her later. If nothing else, he'll get Venom to help find her; they'd understand the gravity of that situation, and he has a knack for finding his children when he wishes to. In any case, that left Carnage. He turned to see... Hybrid already attacking Carnage? What the hell...

'A piece of us found a new host...' the voices hissed in his head.
'Great, just what we need, another one of us running around...'
'This one has a sense of justice about him, like you do. He should prove more an ally than anything else...'
'I hope you're right...'

Following the other Hybrid's example, he also made claws from his hands, and waitind to see if this new Hybrid would actually attack Carnage. If he did, he'd jump in. If not, he'd abandon this stand and summon Toxin and Venom, if he could find them.

War Machine looked up sharply and cursed to himself. He raised his hands, charging his cannons and aiming them at the Scarebeast: one at his wrist on the hand that held the citizen, and one at his head. The cannons whined briefly as they reached full charge.
"Release the civilian. You have to seconds to comply; I'm not messing with you, monster." If the Beast dropped the innocent, War Machine figured the hero at his back could catch them before they hit the ground, leaving War Machine able to deal with the Scarebeast.
